Re: New single ? in General Therapy? Topics
GYDHOMS sounds like what you’d expect T? to release. It would be easily ignored. A radio edit of Ghost Trio would stand out more for sure!

really wish this board had an “edit” function. I meant Plague Bell, not The Buzzing.

hmm, I like Shameless and I too think The Buzzing is the best track on the new disc. Something to this?

Re: Setlist 2012 / Berlin 28.3.12 in Therapy? Live
I saw them roughly 8 times between 93-01. When they came back to Toronto a couple of years ago I was so excited to hear the new stuff live, but minus 3 songs, everything else was from the same time period I had seen them before. They rocked, but I was a bit disappointed. So this show in Berlin sounds killer to me. Just listen to the lyrics in “The Buzzing”… it’s clear they’ve put the 90’s long behind them, and I say fuck yeah!
Now come back to Toronto and only play 2003-2012 stuff. That would be killer indeed!

wish it would sell in North America… watching the Grammy’s right now; it’s true depressing (except for the Foo’s)

Re: A Brief CracK Of Light in General Therapy? Topics
First listen I didn’t like this at all. Second listen and loved it. I think the first listen just shocked me.
I will say that Marlow is indeed out of place, but so was Magic Mountain. I love them both (although Marlow is about a minute too long, imo) but don’t like either of their placements.
Also “Before You…” has an amazing chorus, however I really don’t like the verses. Singing 1 word at a time just doesn’t do it for me. Also the first verse reminds me of Waiting Room (Fugazi) too much, which just makes starting singing that instead.
Besides that, everything is stellar… The Buzzing, Why Turbulence? and Ecclesiastes are tops for me!

Seeing as were going with pipe-dreams hows about just an instrumental album?
Although just the Full version of magic mountain would do, and vinyl editions of SPYF, Shameless, NANE and OCFA please.
instrumental album, in the style of Magic Mountain, with full MM version included, would be amazing…
and vinyl of SPYF, Shameless and NANE would be great… HA and OCFA would be accepted too!

still no album in my mail (Canada) but i’m ok with it.
what i will not be ok with is if they come out with a special edition again with some of those extra tracks. i hate buying things over again.

20+ years, 13th album, and their lead single fucking kicks ass!
seriously, how is it that this band isn’t one of the biggest in the world?

Re: Endless Psychology in Therapy? Live
Bringing up this album always opens a can of worms. I love it even though I can admit there are some weak spots. “Welcome to fuck land” a good example.
Regardless, Endless Psychology, tone and lyrical wise, just seem like a good fit with CT & beyond.

Endless Psychology in Therapy? Live
Was listening to Shameless today and when EP played I immediately thought that with a bit of tweaking it would fit quite nicely with the Crooked Timber and newer material.
Agree/disagree?

Re: collection on eBay in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade
Do you have pictures of your “Other”, esp. the sunglasses?
It’s too bad some of this stuff isn’t split up, as I’m sure something really rare like the sunglasses would have people (that already have almost everything else) interested.

Re: Your T?-“dreamtour?” in Therapy? Live
Toronto - no opener, just 3/4 of the songs have to be from SPYF to CT era

Re: New album video update Jan 2011 in General Therapy? Topics
personally I can wait for the new album as I’m still listening to CT all the time.
Not to say I wouldn’t get the new album if it was released today. ;)

Re: Crooked Timber (Deluxe Gold)? in General Therapy? Topics
finally got this. all the sample versions are better, especially MM. however the mix of crooked timber isn’t as good as the original. the remixes are just ok. i wish they were after the bsides. LWS is just ok to me. Has a poppy element that doesn’t suit the rest of the album. Don’t Try should have been on CT, however, it’s a cracker. Overall it’s kinda of a silly release, however since I only had the vinyl of the original it was worth the purchase.

Re: Who’s producing the new album then? in General Therapy? Topics
I can see the NANE being a darker HA, but I don’t think there’s any connection between SPYF and Shameless. I’d say SPYF is a darker SD (well, half of it anyway).
CT is the first album in T?’s history where if their follow-up was in the same vein I won’t be disappointed at all. CT#2 would be much welcomed!

April 1993: Nurse on CD at HMV in Downtown Toronto, because some hot chick that worked there was wearing a T? shirt.
