Re: US release date? in General Therapy? Topics
i think i’ll buy whatever version of ebay… they don’t want to sell it in north america, then some dude on ebay can have my money instead of them…
no dvd and now no new cd over here… over 11 years listening to them and i get the shaft cause i live in canada? fuck you spitfire…
and shame on therapy? for allowing this to happen…
(and don’t give me any bullshit saying it’s out of their hands)

The reason that you can only find the limited edition on the German site is because it’s being released by the German record label only.
so what’s the difference between the 2 again, officially?

Re: Scopophobia Regional Coding in General Therapy? Topics
even thought the region code is 0 (region free), it’s still PAL, so it won’t play on North America players, right?
my dvd player says it will play region 0, but not PAL… i don’t have the dvd as i didn’t want to spend money on something i can’t use…

Re: On Andy’s request: your favourite Beatles album? in Other Bands & Artists
1. revolver - i wish i could explain why this is my fav. but i can’t… it just is…
2. abbey road - the best farewell album in the history of music…
3. white album - some of the greatest beatles songs ever, and some that should have been left out… would have made the best single album ever…
4. let it be… naked - the mixes on this album are just amazing… i hated the original, with it’s strings and shit… this is how it should have always sounded…
5. sgt. pepper - the whole is stronger then the sum of it’s parts… some songs are really great, others only work if you listen to the entire album at once…

Re: Wouldn’t it be cool if for the new album Therapy? would… in General Therapy? Topics
many bands release self-titled albums… while usually it’s the first album, releasing a self-titled one at this point signifies a change in direction/spirit/thinking, which i think therapy? want/need to convey at this point… how many semi-funny album titles do we need by them… it’s time for a change!

Not a great idea.
no, it would be referred to as the self-titled album…

ya, that’s it… it’s just 3 live songs from the dead laughing bootleg (which is the same gig as the 8 song fan club cd)

Quote (author unknown):
This was far from an easy decision to make as Martin has been an important part of the band for nine years but we feel that this is the best way to ensure a positive future for THERAPY?
this statement says it all… he was fired, asked to leave, however you want to say it…
question now is: why?

why would a store in the uk have a region 1, when i can’t find any in north america with it… seems fishy to me…

Re: Therapy? needs to come to Toronto.. in Therapy? Live
i was at the last show in canada, horseshow tavern in toronto 1996… it was FREE and there were about 150 or so people and graham wrecked the drum kit at the end of the show… and i got one of his drumsticks, plus setlist and i recorded it… best therapy? i’ve seen, and i saw 2 before that (both toronto) and 2 after (scotland and cleveland)…

Re: Kill Bill Vol.1 in Chit-Chat
original stories??? jackie brown was originally a book called ‘rum punch’ by Elmore Leonard…
and i don’t think liking this movie means you also like vin diesel… it’s an intellegent homage to old kung-fu movies quentin watched growing up…

Re: Batman in Chit-Chat
ok, here’s the story… batman 5 will be directed by nolan… batman: year one (the one i was talking about) is the one with aronofsky, but the rumor is that Warner Bros. didn’t like the direction aronofsky and frank miller were taking the script, so they pulled the plug…
there is also a batman vs. superman movie being planned…
Posted on Tue, 4 November 2003 at 20:35
Re: Batman in Chit-Chat
it is darren aronofsky, and the story takes place when batman becomes batman, i.e. when he parents get murdered…
and i’m sure aronofsky will suffer the same fate as nolan… 2 great independant movies that they wrote, followed by a sub-par big budget hollywood movie written by someone else…

i don’t remember that show… too bad i missed it…
replicants has ken on vocals and greg on drums… failure was really just the 2 of them anyway, so it kinda counts… :) (although i don’t really think it’s all that great, save couple of songs)

no flaming lips at the show i went to… just tool and failure in toronto in febuary 1994… i’ll always remember it because it snowed like hell and we almost didn’t make it… sure glad i did, as failure and therapy? have always been my fav. bands…

Re: fischerspooner in Other Bands & Artists
Title: electro
i like fisherspooner… in fact, i was listening to the cd today on my way to work… think early 80’s mets air’s ‘10,000 hz legend’ mets not knowing anything about music but making an album anyway… it’s pretty simple beats and mixes all thrashed together to make it not so simple… i’ve heard their live shows are something to be seen… more performance art then actually music really…
