Yeah, he did actually throw away a shoe or a pair of them into the crowd, though it didn’t seem like they were his own - more probably some dude’s who’d dropped them while crowdsurfing. That’s what I thought at least :D

Anyway, the gig was full of bizarre episodes - for instance, I recall a half-naked woman jumping up on stage and voluptuously licking (!) Michaels’ face (to his great amusement it seemed) and Andy’s guitar - while they were actively performing. Kind of “18+” entertainment, hehe.

This gig was by a long shot the best in Moscow for a long, long time. The atmosphere was extremely warm and the guys from T? were very friendly, professional, sincere & they made the whole place go off its rockers with their uncompromising noise. Their ingenuous interaction with the crowd was absolutely outstanding. When Andy announced that it was the last night of the tour and he was especially happy the band were culminating it in Moscow, the ambience grew nothing short of euphoric.

Personal highlights include Innocent X, Turn, Our White Noise, Polar Bear, Stories and Walk Through Darkness. Other songs were excellent as well. Maybe they could have included some stuff from Semi-Detached, but then it’s their right to balance the set-list the way they envision it.

I enjoyed the moment when a guy climbed up on stage and started to shout something in the mic, unwittingly interrupting Michael who was addressing the crowd. When the guy joyfully went leaping back into the crowd Michael said “It’s my ex-lover and he hates me”. He also referred to the audience as “mentalists” :)

After the encore it all looked like a mental asylum on vacation when against the cheering and squealing of fans kneeling crowdsurfers reverently hugged the T? guys’ feet on stage and Andy jumped upon Michaels’ back and rode on it across the stage for some seconds :D

It was more than worth the 3 years wait, a truly fucking cathartic experience, I hope it won’t take as long for the next time. The noise in my ears stayed for days!.. ;)

I think all of their videos are quite cool, but most of all Diane and Lonely Cryin’ Only. They are fantastic. Diane is quite scary even.
