Re: Therapy? in dublin in Therapy? Live
I just heard about it. Its in the middle of my leaving cert but thats not goning to stop me. I’m a little disappointed at the venue I must say. Its a little bit small is it not? Not that thats a bad thing but is it a sign of dwindling popularity?
They did sell out the ambassodor last time didn’t they? And I don’t think anyone who was there wouldn’t go back.

Re: Vote for T? to play your favourite song live! in Therapy? Live
I’m in Dublin which isn’t on the May Tour but, of course, my opinion must be taken into account in other peoples affairs…
I went for
Little Tounges First
Nice and Sleazy (Any other Stranglers fans?…anywhere?)
Speedball.

Re: Another covers question in General Therapy? Topics
Title: Covers
I’d love to see them do:
1. Captain Beefheart - Electricity
2. The Stranglers - Down In The Sewer
3. Bad Brains - I (or any other one)
Andy demonstarted on SPYF that his Beefheart voice works.

Re: Throat in Other Bands & Artists
Title: Throat
I saw Throat supporting T? in Dublin last year, They were brilliant.
Couldn’t understand why they were second to Denfenstrator or whoever they are.
Throat were much better, to me anyway. I’ve been meaning to buy there album since then, this thread just reminded me.
At the gig Andy said that Throats singer/guitarist was just out of prison for armed robbery and is trying to get his life back but thats all i know about them. Anyone know anything more about em?

Re: new album?? in General Therapy? Topics
Its hard to say where they’ll go from the straight on Rock n’ Roll that is Shameless, god bless it.
I’d like to hear a collection of Acoustic versions of Therapy? songs, although i think they shouldn’t do that just yet.
Suicide Pact is my favourite album, but i doubt they’ll do that again.
I think its likely that they’ll do a kind of more rock n’ roll Infernal Love, which would be great.
I wouldn’t tell them what to do though, they’ve never let me down and they know what they are doing better than me, you, or anyone else.

Re: Ozzfest in General Therapy? Topics
Title: Ozzfest
Therapy? were the best there for me. Where I was in the crowd they seemed into it, I know I was. Andy was definetly the best entertainer there. There was actually a very suprising number of people with T? shirts etc going around, I thought they had unfortunetly faded away.
They’re certainly the best Irish band for a long long time, pity they are just ignored as has beens.
Tool were very good I thought, its really opinion with Tool, some people really like what they do and others hate it. I certainly wouldn’t look down on people who don’t like em because to many people take that pretentious attitude with them. I wasn’t into the visuals my eyes were welded shut for it. Opiate was the odd song out for sure, and my personal favourite.
I’ve seen Slayer before and I wasn’t into it then and they didn’t do it for me this time either. Most people seemed to love them though which was great. System of a Down were suprisingly good, didn’t like there albums much they definetly knew how to get a crowd going, and the bassist in the Clutch shirt had my instint approval. Drowning Pool were great, nothing original but got the place moving. On the second stage Skin Dive were the highlight.
All In all well worth 60 Euro, unfortunete with no Ozzy however.
Oh, Ill Ninio or whoever they were totally appauling, to put them on after T? was quite funny if a little saddening.

Re: Who is the best British band ever? in Other Bands & Artists
Beatles were not the best british band.
They were a good band, but they are totally overrated to godlike proportions sometimes. People who have no real knowledge of them always claim to love them too, gah fashion gah.
Black Sabbath are probably my favourite British band, wouldn’t be willing to say best to any of the ones i know though.

Re: Concert tshirts in Chit-Chat
I wear a Thin Lizzy shirt to pretty much everything. In Ireland everyone loves Thin Lizzy even if they haven’t heard more than 1 song, which is annoying but often works out well.
I don’t like people buying T-Shirts for things they weren’t at though.

Re: This one’s for you enters the Outlaw 41 at 32! in General Therapy? Topics
Living in Dublin means you are either a: Skanger, a pop kid or nu-metaler.
I live in a sea of Celtic jersesys, engineered denim and Korn hoodys.
Anyways, its impossible to find recrods and CDs and have to order them all in. Theres a bit of quality on the radio, but always at unsociable hours.
Gah enough complaining.

Re: Fyfe Ewing in General Therapy? Topics
Fyfe certainly does have an extremely distinctive sound, which is something not common in any drummers i know.

Re: t? gigs in Therapy? Live
No I haven’t there myself yet seeing as its just being reopened now.
But I asked somone aobut it and they said it used to be a really excellent venue.
Its a semi cirle shape and gives great sound if you are in the middle of it, best possible location for a venue to be also.

Still, with or without a supporting record company T? always delivered in the past.
The only things thats likely stop them is gonna be them.

Where to now? in General Therapy? Topics
Title: Where to now?
Another album another style.
But what do you think is going to come next?
Personally i’d love another SP:YF, although i think thats highly unlikely.
They’ve never done the same thing twice really. So if they can’t go backwards where do you think they’ll go?

Re: - SHAMELESS - in General Therapy? Topics
I like Shameless but not as much as any of the previous albums.
They aren’t as vicious or angry as on the other albums. I still think it wipes the floor with anything else coming out at the moment.
Favourite tracks are:
Endless Psychology
Gimme back my brain
I am the money
and This one’s for you.
I heard some people saying that recording it in America was a mistake,
what does anyone thing about that?

Am I the only person who thinks SPYF is the best album made ever by any band anywhere let alone Therapy?, My friends seem to think I am.

Re: GIG TONIGHT? in Therapy? Live
Ah well the deeds done now.
I had a bad encoutner with the security there before, and swore i would never go again.
I didn’t forsee Therapy? playing there though, lets hope the tour makes up for it.

Re: GIG TONIGHT? in Therapy? Live
Bloody Temple bar music centre doesn’t let under 18s in. Could get a fake ID but that would be wrong…

Re: Site updates and news about the official site.. in Site Announcements
Congratulations,
You’ve obviously put alot of work into this site, and more importantly kept it updated.
Things i’d like to see:
Rare and Old tracks, if thats possible without violation of copyright?
More merchandise if possible?
Accurate Guitar Tabs for just afew songs. (People tell me they can’t find them, I apoligise if they do)
A Band (auto)Biogrhapy
Theres not much more you can ask for, Therapy? are very dedicated to their fans but we have to respect that they have their own lives to live.
