Re: British Sea Power in Other Bands & Artists

No, but I’ve downloaded a couple of songs, apologies to insect life & the excellent fear of drowning, so i might get it with my next giro.

Re: British Sea Power in Other Bands & Artists

Title: British Sea Power (merged post)

Saw them for the first time last night, the most original band I’ve seen live in a long time. I was well impressed, and they were only the support (for snow patrol, who were a bit shite). Anyone else heard them?

Re: Bands that get gradually worse in Other Bands & Artists

I agree about RATM… I’ve never been so heart-brokenly disappointed by an album as I was with “Battle of LA”.

Re: Death Cab For Cutie - Transatlanticism in Other Bands & Artists

I’ve just started getting into them too man. Interesting band names always seem to suck me in!

Re: Bands that get gradually worse in Other Bands & Artists

Have to disagree with you on Blur man. Their self titled album is one of my favourite albums ever (reminds me of GCSE geography coursework… ah, those were the days!) and Think Tank is my favourite Blur album yet.

Re: Blur Think Tank in Other Bands & Artists

Nice once that’s a good song (boom boom!) It is though. By the way, cheers for postin’ about the hidden track, I didn’t know that.

Re: I heard, the Stereophonics split up… in Other Bands & Artists

I hope they split up, I hate hearing their sickeningly bland rawk

Re: Blur Think Tank in Other Bands & Artists

Just looking up at my posts, I think I was a bit harsh, I love the album now (even Crazy Beat!)

Re: best music dvd’s in Other Bands & Artists

The only music DVD i have is Alice in Chains - Music Bank, and thats f**king great! Real sad to watch them all messing about as kids though considering they never even talked when Layne died.

Re: What was the last abum you bought? in Other Bands & Artists

The last album I bought was Big Brother Is Watching… DMX mixed with tears for fears… leftfield mixed with the doors… even the old grand prix theme! yeah!

Re: best solo ever in Other Bands & Artists

Archie Gemmel for Scotland v Holland because if it wasnt for that solo we wouldnt have the THE Gemmil!

And guitar wise i’d go for Man in the Box or Punishment kiss (dunno if they’re technically good but i like ‘em).

Re: Layne in Other Bands & Artists

Has anyone seen their Music Bank DVD? Watching their home movies in between the videos makes it all the more sad. Rest in Peace.

Re: Radiohead in Other Bands & Artists

Ive seen a good one where a bomb explodes in a couple’s car and a shite one where they just play the song in front of a big lorry in what looks like a rocky outcrop of an American desert in black and white

Goin to see them at Glastonbury :D

Re: Blur Think Tank in Other Bands & Artists

Aye Bad Karma, I walked into subway on botanic and when i heard crazy beat playing i realised the awful truth that it must be the next single. Terrible choice! Having heard it a lot now its grown on me a little, but its not representitive of the album at all i think.

Re: Stiltskin in Other Bands & Artists

I thought footsteps and inside were good songs. Didnt hear the album though

Re: Blur Think Tank in Other Bands & Artists

I got the limited edition one yesterday. A lot of its like Radiohead meets Add n to (X) (meets Blur)! Its good though - apart from the third song, Crazy Beat. Thats shite.

When Damon was being interviewed on one of the last Evening Sessions he was being a total twat. He is a bit up himself - but you can’t tell that from his lyrics on the album, which has to be a good thing.
