Re: Top-10 albums of all time in Chit-Chat

Hey someone back there mentioned Amen - i don’t know about them on record but last night i managed to see them supported by Raging Speedhorn, and it was the best gig ive ever been to! i know people always say that, but they were really down to earth and rockin at the same time.

Re: Movies in Chit-Chat

Braindead does rock indeed, i prefer evil dead II though:

1: Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
2: Natural Born Killers
3: The lost Highway
4: Drugstore Cowboy
5: Clerks

Also Kalifornia and Judgement night cos T? are in the soundtrack!!!

Re: ‘CHE’ IS A BIG ‘OL BRAINLESS METAL COCK in Chit-Chat

Incidently, in the NME this week Throat are said to be ‘from the north of Ireland and shit’ which i would pretty much go along with.

Are you a closet Cradle of Filth fan Barbie?

Re: If you can read… in Chit-Chat

Im doin a degree in English:

‘No Logo’ by Naiomi Klien (really inspiring, up to date)
‘The Great Gatsby’ by F. Scott Fitzgerald (i had to read this for uni but its really, really surprisingly good)
‘The Wasp Factory’ by Iain Banks (really twisted, early T? type)
‘The Catcher in the Rye’ by JD Salinger
but most of all ‘Trainspotting’ by Irvine Welsh, even if youve seen the movie the book kicks ass

Re: My Papa’s a Roach in Chit-Chat

by the way, NME seem to be tipping Papa Roach but on the basis of the ‘last resort’ video i find them toe curlingly embarrassing (see also: linkin park).

Re: My Papa’s a Roach in Chit-Chat

Best albums of 2000: ‘Madonna’ by …And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead, ‘Levez vous skinny fists like atennas to heaven!’ by Godspeed You Black Emperor! and ‘Figure 8’ by Elliott Smith (i think that was 2000).

actually T? are probably the heavy band i still like. Oh yeah, Mer de Noms! i forgot, that rocks also

Re: How did YOU get into Therapy? ? in General Therapy? Topics

You saw GN’R? Cool! these are all really cool stories. the first time i heard of them was when radio Ulster broadcast their new years eve gig… i guess i got into them sometime during the barren spell between infernal love and semi detached when my mates were sure theyd broken up. the first recording i got was a crappy recordin of that belfast new year’s gig and born in a crash on the other side. only managed to catch them live once, at Belfast enpire in march.

Re: Help me out here! in General Therapy? Topics

yes… a great man once told me that death is always smiling in your face, and all you can do is smile back. I dont find Babyteeth or Pleasure Death depressing at all, they’re just really rockin records, more about frustration than anything else really. i think.

Re: Best therapy? single in General Therapy? Topics

Easily the screamager single - even though it was called an EP, it only had 4 songs. Auto Surgery kicks ass, but Nowhere single is cool too, i love Pantopon Rose

Re: Ideal big night out line up in Chit-Chat

id like to have the heavy stuff at the start so at night time you could just lie back and chill out:

Pitchshifter (saw them last night, michael mckeegan was there too)
Rage against the machine
Guns N Roses
Pixies
Blur
Daphne & Celeste (so they could get bottled off)
Blink 182 (for a bit of good banter)
…and you will know us by the trail of dead
Therapy?
Nirvana (then its time to chill out…)
Pulp (i dont care i think they’re a good festival band)
Eliott Smith
Joy Division
Godspeed You Black Emperor!

Re: HIGH NOON in General Therapy? Topics

yeah and suicide pact is produced by Head too isnt it?? quite a KoRn influence! Unfortunately / fortunately, this isnt the case as High Noon was originally written by DJ Shadow, as someone here told me i think.

Re: Hello Everyone in New Members (Introduce Yourself)

Therapy? did quite quite well in the british charts… shortsharpshock got in the top 5. even their semi detached singles got in the 20s which isnt bad at all

Infernal Gum / Husker Du in General Therapy? Topics

Title: Infernal Gum / Husker Du

Just got a bootleg today called inferal gum. some of my favourite T? songs are b-sides: songs like Auto Surgery, Pantopon Rose and all are good rockin tunes, but that bootleg is shit - stuff like Our Love must die, tatty sea side town, Reuters and all. i was well pissed off

Anyway i just heard husker du’s original Diane and i think its class - could anyone recommend what they think is their best album to get first? what album is diane off??

Re: I’m pissed off! in Chit-Chat

Fuck! thats pretty rough. my advice would be to go out of your way to piss on public buildings from now on, to lower the average cost per piss. Drink more beer to piss more :)

How much is 100 guilders in pounds? anyone?
