Dee Dee Ramone R.I.P :( in Other Bands & Artists

Title: Dee Dee Ramone R.I.P :(

How sad. :(

Dee Dee Ramone found dead
20.14PM BST, 6 Jun 2002

Dee Dee Ramone, a founding member of US punk band the Ramones, has been found dead of a possible drug overdose in his Hollywood home.

Ramone, 50, whose real name was Douglas Glenn Colvin, was found dead by his wife after she returned home late on Wednesday.

“The investigator noted drug paraphernalia, including a single syringe on the kitchen counter, and we are handing it as a possible accidental overdose,” Craig Harvey, operations chief for the coroner’s office, said. An autopsy is planned for later.

The death comes 11 weeks after the band was celebrated with induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Lead singer Joey Ramone died in April of last year of lymphoma, a form of cancer. He was 49.

Re: Soundtrack To Your Funeral in Other Bands & Artists

Can’t remember the name of the band, but the song i’m sure most of you know..
“Things can only get better” ;)

Well i’m only joking.
Being serious, maybe Gone with a sin by HIM or a song called “Joutsenlaulu”, which is a kind of sad song with beautiful words and melody by a old finnish band..

Then at the party i hope people would hold for my memory, wouldn’t it be great to start it with Final Countdown by Europe? :) Nah, any good old rock ‘n’ roll would do..

gluecifer in Other Bands & Artists

Title: gluecifer

hello folks,
just got back from a great gig at the garage, london. went to see brilliant, arse kicking norweigan band, gluecifer. absolutely worth checking out. what made my night was the sight of andy c, in a front row, singing (shouting) out loud on every song, trying to get everyone to join him, jumping up and down, enjoying it. moshing and all. :) great to see him actually acting like we do on their gigs. isn’t it just so cool that there’s no “i’m a big rock n roll star” thingy there -just him having a good nite out. fantastic. off to bed now..

Re: Support act for the gigs in Norway and Denmark… in Therapy? Live

As a fellow Finn, and as a happy owner of their latest albums, i totally agree with Marko. That band really rocks. They’ve always been good, but since Ville joined them they’ve really got it together..
So go and check them out!
:)

Re: London Gig 2nite in Therapy? Live

WHAT A BRILLIANT GIG!! last night was the first time in 3 and 1/2 years i’ve seen them, and they really rocked. I’m still smiling..and my ears have had it. They did seem to enjoy playing as much as audience did. A lot of stagediving and helping Andy with his vocals. Absolutely fantastic night. WOW!

Re: My little funhouse in General Therapy? Topics

I’ve seen them in Finland, supporting Thunder (??), I think it was late ‘93 or early’94. Back then they had a different drummer, Derek, who then left the band, some health problems if i remember it right. So Graham must have joined the band after that..? Got one of their albums, released 1992, don’t know if they did any with Graham though.
