Well the FTP server definitely isn’t down, coz’ I was able to Resume the upload from a different machine on our network just fine. Anyway, the Dancin’ With Manson clip of the concert is on the FTP server now!

I’ll upload the full concert later on… (after I’ve recompressed it a bit)

Hmm, interesting, now my IP address seems to be locked out from the FTP server. (I can ping it from other machines, but packets from my own computer simply get dropped).

Tjeez, on what kind of line is this FTP server? Looks like an 28k8 modem. :)

It’s gonna take a bit of time to upload the entire video I’m afraid, as the maximum upload speed seems to be around
0.5 - 1 kb/s on average.

I’m first trying to get just a bit of the video on there (the bit containing Dancin’ with Manson). That’s a 45 Mb file and should take me about a day or so. ;)

I’ll try to compress the entire video a bit further, otherwise the upload is going to take something like a week…

Well if the FTP server has a guest account and an incoming-files directory, I could upload it for you. Would take me about half an hour. ;)

Hmm, you’re right, I seem to have trouble extracting the MMS URL as well this time, maybe Fabchannel changed their setup or something…
Anyway, last time the URL was mms://ds096.xs4all.nl/therapy_300.wmv

I would recommend you use my DivX version if you want to upload the video to FTP though, because the wmv file cannot be played back on all computers…

Let me know if you want the file, it’s about 450 Mb and the audio quality could definitely be better (due to the quality of the orgininal stream), but it’s still nice to watch. :)

By the way, the program I used to capture the A/V stream was HiNetRecorder. You can download it from http://en.hoonnet.com/

The tricky bit is getting the URL of the video file. Try the windows media player ‘properties’ dialog, it will give you an URL. Open this URL in Internet Explorer, and then view the HTML source of the page. The source should refer to a MMS URL, which you can directly pass to HiNetRecorder. “That’s all.” ;)

I have a reasonable quality video stream (derived from the webcast), but the audio quality is pretty shite…

Hi All,

I also have a copy of the ASF stream, and have re-coded it to DivX (MPEG-4 simple profile) with an MP3-soundtrack. The sound quality of the original is pretty shite though. Anyone know if the show was broadcasted on radio or someting as well? (Kink FM had a THERAPY? theme week that week) If so, I could redub the soundtrack in somewhat better quality…
