Title: Andy was ill
We were chating to the girl who sells the merchandise before the gig and she was saying Andy had a really bad throat and they had been feeding him honey and lemon all day. It certailnly seemed that way he was struggling at some points but all credit to him for keeping going it was still a cracking show!
Loved when they played Potato Junkie and the crowd was all singing out of time so Michael stopped to get in time with everyone!

Re: Suing God in General Therapy? Topics
Thats cool Bad Karma - I just made a mix of T? stuff for a friend who hasn’t heard any of the last three albums and I was like “man you gotta hear the latest stuff” So I put a mixture but also the first track was Suing God…cause more people should hear it!
I sometimes also play it to my other non-music friends that don’t know much about music to show it as as an example of good heavy metal.
Also I have to get that SD version cause I’m the same. gotta have it.

Re: Suing God in General Therapy? Topics
Yes tokaarme that’s the line.
I think Suing God really should of been on Semi Detached, I know it was on the US release. Whenever I was in the US I was looking for that version.
It makes you think which songs by bands are hidden on a tape somewhere because someone thinks it shouldn’t be released or maybe doesn’t cut it for the album. Like I heard that the Placebo track “Pure Morning” was originally planned as a filler then became the single!
Anyone know any news on NANE extra tracks?

Title: Reading Gig
The reading gig should be good cause when I booked the ticks they said its open for the night and there is a club afterwards. It is pretty small but quite a cool place.
Reading sucks really but they cleaned it up a lot lately.
However nearbythere are loads of cool things to see. Marlow/ Henley on Thames, Oxford is not so far away and thats a cool cist. In fact T? play the day before in a cool club the Zodiac. any other thoughts email me. good luck

Re: 8th December @ The Monarch anyone? :D in Therapy? Live
Title: Barfly gig rocked
I only just caught up with the boards since the gig.
I had a friend over who doesn´t like rock at all but even she was impressed. They were fantastic that night. I´ve been lucky enough to see them 3 times this tour and each gig was different and better in different ways.
Also respect to Rob for singing Knives!
Anybody know if XFM are gonna broadcast it??

Re: The DVD is great! in General Therapy? Topics
Title: DVD Tracks & Easter Eggs
I think the same about the first two tracks, having played in a band you always get lots of spill on the vocal mike it pics up the drums/rest of the band and crowd etc.which adds to the “live” feel but you cant hear that on this DVD.
Either they miked it really well with gates and stuff on those boys are joking with us? :)
Also I noted the same on the Diane track no “rape me and kill me line”!!
What about the easter eggs anyone find them?? I see the one where the wheel comes in if you leave the Menu running that takes you to Backstage and that stuff is great - anyone find any others?

Re: Therapy? DVD to be filmed in Belfast! in General Therapy? Topics
Title: DVD TV etc
I hate to be the geek but I work in the business!:)
PAL has more lines 625 and NTSC 525 but they will probably release it as a multi region DVD anyway so they cover all areas, its possible to have a DVD with no region coding. The big studios do the coding to prevent you buy the film in US before it comes out on cinema in Europe. Also there are loads of cheap multi region players now.
On the DVD - I hope they include the TFI Friday show that I was at. It was great they were the last band on after James and someone I cant remember. They played church of noise at the end of the show but then the TFI guys let them do three or four other numbers, I would say it was on of the earliy shows with Graham. I was probably the only guy in the audience who knew who they were!
Was anybody else there???

Re: Do Therapy? dislike “Semi-Detached”? in General Therapy? Topics
Title: Semi Detached
I agree with shortsharpsid totally. I love SP-YF but it was definetly a move away from stuff that I liked about T?. I loved some of the tracks but the overall feel was just different. I wish T? would play more of S-D live its normally only Church of Noise. And the new album does have some great choruses it seems much more commerical than S-D or even Troblegum. Some of the tracks even sound inspired by the likes of Blink 182 - aaaaaaahhh!!!

Re: Do Therapy? dislike “Semi-Detached”? in General Therapy? Topics
Title: Semi Detached
I think S-D is one of the most awesome rock records ever. It seems to me to be so progressive - I mean that T? always seem to bring a new edge or angle to what the do. Tracks like Safe and Stay Happy are amazing it doesn’t soud like any other music I’ve heard.

Re: Therapy? London Gig review + Set List in Therapy? Live
Title: Recent London Gig (merged here)
I wanted to see what people thought of the last gig at Londons LA2 - it was jam packed in there but T? rocked. And Michael sommersaulted into the crowd from the speaker stack at the end - nutter :)
