Re: Top 5 films in Chit-Chat

Oi innocent x you genuinly are one of the most irritating ppl its ever been my displeasure to meet. Firstly I never said anything about hating spielberg quite enjoy most of his films. But yet you presume because you are arrogant, you seem to think you are far more intelligent then anyone else no doubt as a result of some sort of university education. I’m not going to argue the rest of the mail, its early I’ve got work to do and I dont have time its just the presumptious and arrogant nature of your reply that insensed me. I know you will reply to this because you always have to have the last word but I will not be continuing this I have better and more important things to do with my time than argue with a lonely yank.

Re: Top 5 films in Chit-Chat

Dearest innoscent x,
lets talk about movies…
Saving private ryan i did like i loved the war scenes at the beginning the most realistic I have seen in a movie but I didn’t like the way Mr spielberg had to turn it into a hollywood blockbuster with the most ridiculous war film ending in the history of film, and as for american history x it was a nice concept that slid by, by talking about how obscene alot of peoples views are about other races sure it shocks but it doesnt deliver. everyone whos ever had an independant thought knows racism is wrong and an ignorant answer to hate but that doesnt make it a good film because it states the obvious. It was once again a cheesy film and insulting to any free thinker who watched it!!!!
American beuty I liked, I know many didnt but I did for its originality, script and its spiritual ideas(I promise you I’m no hippy) And fight club maybe your right but I saw it recently so it sticks in my mind.
Anyway after these points you continued to state that I was a wanker because of my opinions which whilst it fails to insult me as im sure was what was intended it goes to show you for the man you are a mindless and thoughtless individual who spends his time insulting other to make himself feel better about himself, I dont understand you nor want too, but I pity you.

Re: Top 5 films in Chit-Chat

Its a true original iris noones seen anything like it before and wont again. Also the joke about the office being for dwarfs kept me in random fits of hysterics for 3 days. It was all getting a little embarrassing in the end and I always lost my job, people get paranoid if you keep chuckling.

Hey guess what as well shameless arrived this morning havent listened yet but soon as I finish work I’ll be checking it out.

Oh and so far my award (the award being my admiration)for film buff has to go to opal mantra they were some fine choices and the turkey award kinda like in the oscars has to go to Don vultz.

The land of the free ?????? in Chit-Chat

Title: The land of the free ??????

A minute of Silence. If you are still shaken by the horrifying scenes of September 11, please observe a moment of silence for the 5,000 civilian lives lost in the New York, Washington, DC and Pennsylvania attacks.
While we’re at it, let’s have 13 minutes of silence for the 130,000
Iraqi civilians killed in 1991 by order of President Bush Sr. Take another moment to remember how Americans celebrated and cheered in the streets.
Now another 20 minutes of silence for the 200,000 Iranians killed by
Iraqi soldiers using weapons and money provided to young Saddam Hussein by the American government before the great eagle turned all its power against Iraq.
Another 15 minutes of silence for the Russians and 150,000 Afghans killed by troups supported and trained by the CIA.
Plus 10 minutes of silence for 100,000 Japanese killed in Hiroshima
and Nagasaki by the Atomic bombs dropped by the USA.
We’ve just kept quiet for one hour: one minute for the Americans
killed in NY, DC, and Pennsylvania, 59 minutes for their victims throughout the world.
If you are still in awe, let’s have another hour of silence for all
those killed in Vietnam, which is not something Americans like to admit.
Or for the massacre in Panama in 1989, where American troops attacked
poor villagers, leaving 20,000 Panamanians homeless and thousands more
dead.
Or for the millions of children who have died because of the USA
embargoesn on Iraq and Cuba.
Or the hundreds of thousands brutally murdered throughout the world
by USA-sponsored civil wars and coups d’etat (Chile, Argentina,
Uruguay, Bolivia, Guatemala, El Salvador to name a few).
Maybe, and although the memory of Americans claims otherwise,
someone may remember the USA attack on Bagdad where 18,000 civilians were killed. Did someone see it on CNN? Was justice ever served? Or was there even any retaliation?
We hope that Americans finally begin to understand their vulnerability and the cowardly attacks and other tragedies that they have caused around the world.
The dead in other places hurt as much as the dead of the Towers!
Now, let’s talk about terrorism, shall we?
