Re: what was the last gig you went to? in Chit-Chat
Er, my last gig was Therapy? tonight in Cologne! :-D
Didn’t see anyone I recognised there though! What happened to Michael, by the way? He didn’t look to well, and disappeared at the end… :-(

Yee ha!
Haven’t been around for a while, just checked back, and what do you know, Therapy? are back at Prime Club! Who’s coming? Will you be around for a Kölsch or two, allroy?
Greetz,

The Black Keys in Other Bands & Artists
Title: The Black Keys
Just got back from the Black Keys’ show, and I have to say, GO AND SEE THIS BAND!!! Great stuff!
By the way, there’s only one show left on the tour, in London, and it’s already sold out… So this message is a bit late, really. Sorry!

Re: koln gig in Therapy? Live
Well, another rocking show, sadly the only one I’ll see on this tour. Nice set list, good crowd, and the band are obviously having a great time promoting the new record.

It was also a pleasure meeting Psychotherapy? (be back on the WEoM more often, mate).
The pleasure was allmine, allroy! I’d like to have stayed longer, but I knew work was going to be a nightmare today… Anyway, I’ll try and comply, and show up here a bit more often in future. And if you’re coming to any more shows in Germany’s finest city , make sure you let me know, and we can hook up for a beer!
Good luck to Advocaat and the boys!

Title: I’m back!!!
I dare say I’d be up for some Friday night shenanigans in the world’s finest city. Lucky there’s no ice hockey on that night, otherwise it might have been a tough call… :D
Hope it’s in Prime Club again. The low roof kicks ass! This time we’ve got to meet up, allroy. The Reissdorf’s on ice…

Aschaffenburg next week??? in Therapy? Live
Title: Aschaffenburg next week???
Seeing that I haven’t made it to any of the shows on the tour so far (poor effort, I know!), my last realistic opportunity will be Ashaffenburg next Saturday. I was wondering who else is going, particularly anyone from anywhere roughly in the Cologne area??? Even if they like Altbier??? Allroy??? :)

Interesting DVD translations??? in General Therapy? Topics
Title: Interesting DVD translations???
First of all, let me say how delighted I am to have got onto the DVD… :D Cheers for leaving me on there! In the backstage bit, I’m the bloke in Cologne Prime Club who shouts “Top quality bollocks!”
I was messing about with the subtitles, and found that in German, my “Top quality bollocks!” turns out as “Erste Sahne, ein echter Hammer.” Interesting…
Has anyone else noticed any other ridiculous translations into other languages on the DVD???

Happy Birthday to all of you, especially Psychotherapy? !
I hope you’ll enjoy your Kölsch (what a strange liquid to poison your body with :))
Due to the fixtures in the Bundesliga we’re playing Leverkusen on a Sunday which means that I can’t see T? in Tilburg, but now have time to see them in Hardenberg on Sarurday.
Thanks for the good wishes! And the Kölsch was exquisite, by the way!!! I’m not going to be able to make the Florence gig, so now Hardenberg comes back into play… I’ll try to get it sorted this week!!!

we’re also planning to fly to Florence for the gig on November 15 (a return trip from Hahn to Pisa costs just 40).
All sounds interesting… The only catch is that next month I’m starting a new job, and don’t really want to risk screwing it up immediately by going in too late on the Monday after the gig. The Florence gig sounds more plausible, as it’s on a Saturday, isn’t it..? I’ll just have to get my girlfriend to let me out for the weekend… :D Easier said than done! I’ll work on it!

Re: Best song T? have played to open a show in Therapy? Live
Two gigs in particular stick in my mind: One in Newcastle on the Semi-Detached tour, when they opened with Knives and followed it up with Tightrope Walker, and the one in Cologne from the last tour (Hey Satan-You Rock followed by Who Knows)! At the one in Newcastle, I almost suffocated!
I did see a show in Cologne a couple of years back where they opened with Big Cave In, but I didn’t think it worked too well as an opener, although I love the song!

Hehe, I’d almost forgotten, it’s the big match this weekend, isn’t it!!! Well, good luck, but I don’t think you’ll need it! I was at the preseason friendly between the 1.FC and Liverpool, and Cologne didn’t have any answer to Owen’s pace at the back. If Forsell plays, Gladbach shouldn’t have any problems getting the win. Is he still at Gladbach? Are you going?
But, by the way:I’ve just seen on the Gladbach website that their fans have decided the team should run out to 2Unlimited rather than Metallica… I think that tells you a great deal about them… :D At least we have the Höhner!!!

Well, well. Tell me this: Why is Pils named after Pilsen and not Dortmund??? Because it isn’t from Dortmund, that’s why!!! :p I like answering my own questions too!
Tja, at least Dortmund has got a good footy team. Allroy, what do you think about Lehmann joining the Gunners? I’m pretty sad he’s leaving the German game, he was one of true characters in the Bundesliga, and he had balls going to the BVB after Schalke…

By the way, if you’re such a hockey fan, you have to check out the mighty Hanson Brothers from Canada (the alter ego of hardcore veterans Nomeansno) and their so called Puck Rock.
We’re just loaning the title out to Krefeld this year! And anyway, as long as the DEG or Mannheim doesn’t win it, and we give them a good, solid checking in the playoffs, who cares!:p
Re: the Hanson Brothers: Have you seen Slapshot??? The best sports film of all time!

Re: Concert in Bochum,Germany on Oct. 19th? in Therapy? Live
All sounds promising! I’ve been to the Zakk before, and I reckon it would make a pretty cool venue for a T? gig, even if it is in the “Forbidden City”!
If they come back to Kölle, I’d prefer to see them at the compact Prime Club again, that last gig there completely blew me away. However, I do remember being at the Underground one night, and they were doing a Diebels Alt promotion! Aaaarrrggghhh! Even more of a reason to stay away from that area! :D I also found out last month that Sion Kölsch and Schlösser Alt are actually brewed by the same company, which is based in Dortmund! Can you believe it!? That’s just taking globalisation one step too far… ;)
I can’t wait until the 7th of September, when the mighty Kölner Haie are set to destroy the beschissene DEG in the KölnArena! :D
As the song goes: Altbier macht doof… ;)
