Che, Degrassi played Ireland…with Throat (from Larne) at Kate Daleys, Belfast in March 2000 on Throat’s single release party…and may return again before too long in 2001.

Gig dates will follow in Feb/March with Leato,Stapleton,Oxes and possibly Throat. Peel Session to be recorded this weekend.

Yes ‘Teethgrinder’ I take your point. Essentially writing, typing or saying something without censorship is freedom of speech. I was not trying to be pretentious, by refering to any messages as an exercise of that. Is it really that offensive, however for any band to ‘plug’ gigs and events on another band’s message board? Surely if that band shares similar tastes to most of the people who post on it, then there is effectively some common ground there and no ill intentions whatsoever. If Therapy? fans (and I am one too), want to police the message board as if it were their household possesion, then that is up to them. I just don’t think it says alot for Irish and the UK music scene if we are all too busy biting each other’s backs and trying to belittle each other under false names.

Yes Mr. Teethgrinder point taken and digested without bitterness. I just failed to see, at the time how a band ‘plug’ would offend people. You have to admit, it’s a lot less depressing than reading messages by a bunch of folk who all like the same band and yet do little else but slag each other off. I understand perfectly that the board was broken divided different sections. Sometimes bands who don’t break rules don’t get noticed. Don’t worry my friend there need not be any more ‘non-therapy’ related band plugs for a while. Thank you for offering your opinion.

I actually do happen to be a Therapy fan, heard their demo 10 years ago, bought the 1st single, saw them play at the Art College in Belfast in ‘89 with Drive and have liked and supported them ever since, despite various changes in musical direction. With regards to various band plugs, I certainly did’nt mean to offend you or anyone else at all. I’m actually just having a laugh. My feelings don’t get hurt that easily. You think Therapy? members have never bought an Iron Maiden or GN’R record? Why use those bands to attempt to degrade others. Old news. Time-warp material. I don’t intend to use the site again, as people like yourself seem to feel threatened, confused and bitter about anything that does’nt meet their own topic of discussion. I’m not a bitchy person, so I may not reply to your next insult/message, but message boards are addictive, so no promises there. Apologies if I seemed to get sucked into a bitchin’ war. I prefer face to face contact. If you still feel strongly, you can find me. I’m not masking anything. You can find me, with considerable ease. I know nothing of you.

Firstly you are talking a huge amount of fabricated shite, mentioning Maiden & Gn’R. Secondly you asked why a band should mention a band on another band’s site? Well that’s why I went into ‘non-therapy? related topics’, you fucking metalhead moron! If you don’t want to read something, just flick right past it…it’s really quite simple. (Which I’m sure is a term probabley in the brainless metal heckler’s job description). Saying something on a message board is simply freedom of speech. Not all bands are born with silver spoons up their asses, so they have to get their ‘plugs’ from other sources to get their name around. If that offends you, then good. you’ve made my day.
