Panic at the disco - the one about closing a door. its a terrible song but its soooo god dman catchy it just embeds itself in the subconcious and then abuses u at the most inappropriate time

and i add “hips don’t lie” by shakira. makes me want to stab a fork into my eye (but alternatively, i just avoid mainstream radio and tv now as much as i can)
shit song by a good band: most of the recent feeder singles (except “lost and found” and “shatter”). it’s become a love/hate thing with me and them.

AMEN.

Re: How awful is this? in Chit-Chat
I think another problem is that the song itself is incredibly dull. I don’t care if it’s by the Beatles, I think it’s dull :p

Re: Drummers in Other Bands & Artists
Mark Richardson is always great to watch, no matter if with Skunk Anansie or with Feeder. That man’s got energy! He’s a great writer too, by the way.
And Jon Lee was a hell of a drummer too. Always cool as fuck, making drumming seem the easiest thing in the world. Shame I got to see him play live only once.
Bela B. may not be the best drummer, but his other talents make up for it :)
Other faves: Thomas Götz from the Beatsteaks and Neil!

Absolutely! I even listen to Jamelia occasionally nowadays :p
But back on topic: I am a Muse “fan” since about ‘99, went off them a bit because of Absolution, but with Black Holes they really got me back again, the magic is there again. And they are still innovative, unlike some other bands who haven’t even been around that long. I admire that they don’t want to produce the “same old, same old” all the time, but still you can (usually) tell when a Muse song is playing.

Re: The Killers in Other Bands & Artists
The first single didn’t do anything for me, so I didn’t bother with the new album.
Hot Fuss is good though. Especially “Jenny Was A Friend Of Mine”.

Re: So whose the best songwriter? in Other Bands & Artists
I voted for JDB because he’s responsible for quite a few songs on the soundtrack to my life.
I mean, basically I could say just the same about Andy, but I have a soft spot for JDB :o

well…
muse - black holes and revelations (seems to be quite a favourite here too)
james dean bradfield - the great western
the alpine - on feel trips
slut - songs aus der dreigroschenoper (okay, that’s not really an album, but should have been)
I AM X - the alternative
the pipettes - we are the pipettes
