We could always meet up in Temple Bar and drown our sorrows over pints of Guinness ;)
Sounds tempting but I don’t think it would go down well at home. It’s our first trip back to introduce our new baby to his second homeland. My wife was willing to be abandoned with the baby on our first night in Ireland when my plan was to go and see T? as she knows how much it would have meant to me. I don’t think she’d be so understanding if I was nipping down to Temple Bar for a few pints even if it was for a WOMble meet.
August 20th seems like an unlucky night for gigs. Jello Biafra and The Melvins were supposed to play at The Village that night but it’s been cancelled as well.

:( I had changed my annual trip home to Ireland so that I would be in town for this gig. I hadn’t bought a ticket yet as we still hadn’t worked out how many we needed. Some of my mates were hard to pin down.
Now I don’t know whether I’ll bother going or not. Gary Moore didn’t show up for the last Vibe For Philo in the Point (the one T? played at in ‘96) . If T? are pulling out of this one already who knows who is actually going to be on stage on night.

When T? appeared at the 10th anniversary concert in 1996 they played ‘Bad Reputation’. This was never one of my favourite Thin Lizzy songs. Michael picked ‘Don’t Believe A Word’ for his Burn Baby Burn selection on BBC Northern Ireland. It would be great to hear T? having a go at that.
