We could always meet up in Temple Bar and drown our sorrows over pints of Guinness ;)
Sounds tempting but I don’t think it would go down well at home. It’s our first trip back to introduce our new baby to his second homeland. My wife was willing to be abandoned with the baby on our first night in Ireland when my plan was to go and see T? as she knows how much it would have meant to me. I don’t think she’d be so understanding if I was nipping down to Temple Bar for a few pints even if it was for a WOMble meet.
August 20th seems like an unlucky night for gigs. Jello Biafra and The Melvins were supposed to play at The Village that night but it’s been cancelled as well.

Re: Point Theatre, Dublin 20 August 2005 in Therapy? Live
:( I had changed my annual trip home to Ireland so that I would be in town for this gig. I hadn’t bought a ticket yet as we still hadn’t worked out how many we needed. Some of my mates were hard to pin down.
Now I don’t know whether I’ll bother going or not. Gary Moore didn’t show up for the last Vibe For Philo in the Point (the one T? played at in ‘96) . If T? are pulling out of this one already who knows who is actually going to be on stage on night.

Re: Point Theatre, Dublin 20 August 2005 in Therapy? Live
When T? appeared at the 10th anniversary concert in 1996 they played ‘Bad Reputation’. This was never one of my favourite Thin Lizzy songs. Michael picked ‘Don’t Believe A Word’ for his Burn Baby Burn selection on BBC Northern Ireland. It would be great to hear T? having a go at that.

Re: dead laughing in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade
Prices have certainly dropped. The very first time I saw this CD show up on eBay the closing bid was $128. I think this was sometime in 2000.

And I thought I was the only one :-)
Totally Random Man is definitely my favourite T? song of them all.

FNYANKEZ - Keep that page open in the background and hit refresh every 10 minutes or so. It worked for me after 5-6 goes.
dreamweaver - Thanks for seeding this recording. It’s good stuff.

A belated thanks for the http://www.musicstack.com link. I got the Stories re-release there for 4.10 :)
Much better than paying 40 on eBay.

Re: How old are Therapy? fans???? in General Therapy? Topics
I’m also 34 but I know there are a couple of people on the list older than that. I first got into T? in 1992 when I heard ‘Gone’ on the Dave Fanning show (Ireland’s answer to John Peel).

Infernal Gum bootleg in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade
Title: Infernal Gum bootleg
Hi,
If anyone is looking for the Infernal Gum bootleg CD then you can find it buried in an auction lot titled “CD PACK OF 7 - THERAPY? PACK” (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4034984956). The auction closes in three hours so you need to be quick. I have no connection with this auction I just thought somebody out there might like to know about it.

Re: therapy? live in london lp on ebay in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade
I’ve got both of these. I think the CD (‘I Want My Money Back’) is a direct copy of the vinyl bootleg. Neither are great sound quality. I think this is the only T? bootleg vinyl LP ever issued so from that point of view it is an interesting addition to a collection.

Re: the festival Therapy? are headlining - Details??? in Therapy? Live
Very enjoyable gig; definitely worth the trip. I was good to meet Darren as well.
We shelled out for weekend tickets but security was so lax that we were able to walk in with out getting checked! There was a fairly high percentage of assholes in the audience, with beer bottles landing on the crowd and onstage. The band took it all in good spirit. Potato Junkie was preceded by a blast of Creeping Death (Metallica), which was a bit of a laugh.
Ive attached a couple of low-res photos.

Does anyone know what time T? are scheduled to be onstage on Friday night?

Re: the festival Therapy? are headlining - Details??? in Therapy? Live
Yes, it’s a real bitch. We had to shell out almost 70 each for weekend tickets just to be able to go to the gig on the Friday night :(. Were travelling from Russia so its only a small part of the overall cost of our trip but its still expensive.

Re: Rip off seller on ebay? in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade
I have two versions of this single. One is on A&M and has Gemil on the front cover. The second version doesn’t mention A&M and just has a catalogue number SC09. The second version has a picture of Michael on the front cover and the Gemil picture is on the reverse.
I believe the first version is the one that was actually given out at the Dublin and Belfast gigs and the second version is a bootleg. I wasnt at either gig as I was working as a barman at the time to finance my studies and bar staff do not get time off at Christmas in Ireland :(. I did pick up the single (A&M version) in a second-hand shop in Dublin a short time afterwards. The version advertised on eBay appears to be the bootleg version. The only weird thing is that the seller claims he got this version at the gig. He is also selling a T-shirt from the same gig in a separate auction which makes it look like he really was at the gig. Maybe both versions were pressed by T? or maybe this guy is just trying to pull a fast one?

Re: Nass 04 in Therapy? Live
Now that this gig has been confirmed does anyone have any information about the ticketing system they use at NASS?
Thanks in advance for any useful info.

Re: 02.04.2004 Port Club - St. Petersburg in Therapy? Live
Yes, I recorded Moscow. The sound quality isn’t great but it’s listenable. I’m in the middle of moving house at the moment so I’m not really in a position to do any trades for a couple of weeks. I’ll post a link to an updated trade list on the Buy, Sell & Trade board as soon as I get my music unpacked again.

Nass 04 in Therapy? Live
Title: Nass 04
T? are listed as the Friday night headliners for NASS 04 in Bath on July 16th. http://www.nass04.com/
Unfortunately the event is open to weekend ticket holders only on the Friday night. They don’t start selling one day tickets until Saturday. The face value of a weekend ticket is ₤39.50 and this increases to ₤46.90 by the time Ticketbastard digs its claws in. (http://Http://www.seetickets.com takes a slightly smaller cut so you can save a couple of quid by shopping through them.)
Has anyone been to NASS in previous years? I’m wondering if I can buy a weekend ticket to attend on Friday and then sell it on for someone else to use on Saturday and Sunday. If they use a wristband system then I guess this won’t be possible but, if they just use paper tickets, I might be able to recover some of the outlay.

Yes, of course we took care of them.;)

This was the official vodka toast to all the WOMbles :D (seriously)

Re: Moscow in Therapy? Live
The interview on Radio Ultra was only about 20 minutes long, and that is including the four songs that were played. Andy was the only one interviewed and he spoke about St. Petersburg architecture, the DIY approach to starting a band, the problems of having a question mark in your name and Roman Abramovichs purchase of Chelsea FC. I understand that the interview was recorded on Saturday before the Moscow show so there are no references to the reception they received in Gorbushka. They had some woman simultaneously translating what Andy was saying but you could still hear him fairly clearly underneath. The translation wasnt very accurate but its still a nice souvenir to have.

Re: 03.04.2004 - DKG, Moscow in Therapy? Live
Sasha, thanks for saving me the trouble of typing up the set list and for correcting some of the glaring errors in the notes I made during the gig. :-)
The only thing missing is Andy’s a cappella version of Roy Orbison’s “Only The Lonely” sung just before “Die Laughing”.
I didn’t think it would be possible for them to top the St. Petersburg gig but somehow they managed it. It was absolutely brilliant.

Re: 02.04.2004 Port Club - St. Petersburg in Therapy? Live
I think the new song was called “This So Called Life” but it wasn’t written on the printed set list that Kati got.
I have to second Sasha’s assessment. The gig was absolutely amazing and it was great to meet all the Finnish and Russian WOMbles. Roll on tonight…

Hi,
Yes, I am the same exiled Irish guy who was on Dave Switzer’s list.
Thanks for the advice about the tickets. Dr. Bigjoint suggested the obvious solution and gave me the contact details for the venue. They have told me that there will be tickets on sale on the door so it looks like everything will work out.
See you all tomorrow,

Re: 02.04.2004 Port Club - St. Petersburg in Therapy? Live
Can someone please let me know how to get an advance ticket for the show without actually being in St. Petersburg? I thought I was going to be tied up on Friday but I just found out today that I can take the afternoon off. I’ve just booked my transport so I’m flying to St. Petersburg on Friday afternoon and then getting the overnight train back to Moscow straight after the gig to be there in time for the Saturday night gig.
All I need now is a concert ticket for St. Petersburg. The website of the promoter only offers online tickets for delivery within St. Petersburg. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
