Gongratz from Finland too!
As a father of two daughters I know (I guess I know:)) what pleasure kids bring to life. Well sometimes they bring “sorrow” too but mostly it is joy and happiness. The sorrow is seeing/feeling myself getting older the same time the kids grow up, you know what I mean:)
But anyway, happiness to your family!

Saw Carcass and Dimmu Borgir at the Tuska open air metal festival in Hellsinki (and heard Entombed in background). Nice festival, nice atmosphear and nice to see old friends there and take couple of beers in the beautiful finnish summer evening.

Having done the ‘midsummerfest’ thing in Finland once, I can tell you all sorts of stereotypical practices (all of them revolve around drinking or at least involve it).

So you know Shade what I´m talkin´about when I wish a happy midsummer in a finnish way:) No stone circles here man,hahhhaa, not here!
Anyway midsummer went for this year and “only” six finnish citizens died during the celebrations round our country this year, that was good low number.

I started watching the game but I was so tired cause the gardenparty where I was the night before so I fell asleep:(
I woke up and the russians were celebraiting…My heart was among the dutch`s.Shit!

I didn´t remember the watch thing at all! Thanks Dennis for reminding me! those damn spoons have been tattooed on my mind for the reast of my life:-)

Uri Geller the “spoon man” and afterwards this guy used to be Michael Jackson´s personal manger.
I remember from my childhood seeing this guy on finnish TV with his spoons and doing “spaghetti” out of them. Anyone else remember this fellow:)?

If T? wont play any gigs in the fall here in scandinavia or anywhere else, we´ll be entering the Motörhead Hammersmith Carling Apollo gig on the 22nd of November, Danko Jones & Saxon are supporting. It was close that I already ordered two standing tickets but my better/wiser part said that “hold your horses”, let´s wait for the T? dates and spend our “spare money” over there, guess it´s wiser that way…

Straw Dogs played those SLF tunes veeery well and the other finnish band were also great so nice evening in all way and the hangover isn´t that “hard” this time.:-)

The last gig I was at was the “Jakke 1965-2007 R.I.P.” at Vasta Virta Klubi on the 22d of March. Great nite and Jakke would have been proud of his old mates from different bands playing the classic HC tunes of Kaaos & Kuolleet Kukat. So we all finally said that nite the last goodbyes to this great friend of us all. I don´t know how I managed to take the bands playing on video (and the result was actually very good:)) and the same time I drank a lot, and I had a terrible hangover the morning after:)

Tomorrow at vasta Virta Klubi here in Tampere: Fucking Finland, “Straw Dogs” plays Stiff Little Fingers & Hellhound. PT three of “The old farts remembers”.

I like to say the same too; just hang in there don´t give up, find the good things in your life. I´ve was going through a very big crisis back in 94-95 and my life went down like a rollercoaster back then. But I´m lucky in a way that all that shit happend back then, it only made me stronger and I can say these days that I´m not a afraid of life (like Joey sang back in 84) and I don´t judge other people that easy, we´re all humans with strong sides and weak sides, you know what i mean.
Therapy? was one thing which helped me through the depressed and shitty times and it still helps me these days if something happens to fuck/piss/shit my mind.
About alcohol; I still learning how to drink but I´m a bit wiser with that drug these days, no fuzz with the cops etc. these days:=)

Strenght to you, I know what you´re talkin´about here . Don´t give up, there´s a light at the end of the tunnel. I saw it too years ago when I was given it up in “my battle”. Lucky I was, and I´m still here and if I have to go I go with my boots on!
So strenght to you and don´t give up!

Kauko Röyhkä & Riku Mattila band last nite at Klubi here in Tampere.
This “Finland´s Lou Reed” with his old guitarist Mattila from his 80´s bands and the lineup (including Mattila´s son) threw an excellent gig.
