Re: New Therapy? EP in General Therapy? Topics

They’ll probably let you buy it using cheques or postal orders via the Blackrock address if they decide not to release it in the shops :)

Re: New Therapy? EP in General Therapy? Topics

That does sound promising, cheers!

Re: New Therapy? EP in General Therapy? Topics

The official website is http://www.therapyquestionmark.co.uk - .com redirects you to this site.

I haven’t heard anything about a new e.p. you’d probably best to go to the official site and sign up to the mailing list, that way you’ll get all the release info, particularly if they are intending to flog it online :)

Title: More interestingly…

Still looking ;) *on a mission*

Found this:

http://pulse.towerrecords.com/contentStory.asp?contentId=2717

3rd paragraph, 6th line down. Neil Hannon and Andy Cairns sharing a fashion - who would ever believe it?

Title: Anyone remember WHQuestion?

Hia

I have searched but to no avail, the only thing I found was a Russian Shameless review, which I dutifully translated (online, not myself!). It reads:

The First 4 tracks quite will please anyone òåðàïèñòà with the experience, under some reeves îêóíàåøüñÿ in atmosphere Troublegum, but with sounds Wicked Man on mind(wit) there comes other work 1994 - ïðîâàëüíàÿ ïåðåïåâêà on òðèáüþòå to Black Sabbath with îòâðàòíûì Ozzi Osbourne at a microphone. A tribute to render it is possible for everybody, but what for own creativity to litter?! Identical destiny and at Theme From Delorean, Body Bag Girl, Tango Romeo, Alrite - in a garbage tank - such things do not roll neither on B-side, nor on a curiosity, they are better for not composing at all. It is that twisted punk-metal bastard rock “, that appears on ôóòáîëêå at Andy Cairns.

I don’t think they liked it, lol

Re: Posters in General Therapy? Topics

Heh heh

I have huge Stories and Troublegum posters, medium Pleasure Death and Nowhere ones (both unofficial), small Semi Detached and a Troublegum one which came free if you bought the album in HMV, it has pics of the singles at the bottom. I will have the fanclub one but it’ll be in my stash of T? memorabilia that no one is allowed to touch ;)

Anyway, I think it’s very sweet of of your parents. My sister hijacked my room before I’d even moved everything out, though I think that was just a cunning ruse to nick my stuff.

Re: Posters in General Therapy? Topics

I have a Pleasure Death poster but it’s unofficial, I bought it from a rip-off merchant outside a gig years ago I’ve never seen a proper one, sorry.

Yey! That’s the one I had before. I don’t suppose you know where I can download it from (for free)? - I have no idea where I got it before.

Fonts in General Therapy? Topics

Title: Therapy? Font

Does anyone know where I can download a Therapy? style font? I mean the traditional Troublegum stylee. I had one but lost it when my old computer died and I can’t remember what it was called.

Cheers

Re: T?’s Cover Versions in General Therapy? Topics

Title: Covers (merged)

Can we have your best and worst Therapy? cover versions please?

Mine:

Best - Where Eagles Dare
Worst - CC Rider

On another note, have any well known bands done covers of T? songs?

Re: Getting into it. in General Therapy? Topics

Yeah, I only recently got into LOG as I seemed to have missed the whole thing when it was on TV.

I used to work in Crash, many moons ago. Didn’t get chance to go in today though :( I wonder if they’d be interested in setting up an outreach branch for deepest, darkest Yorkshire…

Re: Getting into it. in General Therapy? Topics

You wouldn’t say that if your internet connection was as lame as mine. This is local internet, for local people ;) Besides, I’m a stickler for originals - just trying to upgrade my tape collection to CD.

I approve of all things Pegg-like but Spaced is the best. I love that every time I watch it (which is a lot, I admit) I spot a new joke that I missed the last time. Keeps it fresh.

Re: Getting into it. in General Therapy? Topics

Tom Waits!

“I’d rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy”

Heh heh. Remember in school when you had to write down the “difficult” words in the back of your book? I think I should still do that.

The butterfly thing is from Spaced, pleeeeease tell me you watch Spaced?

Incidently, I am in a foul mood with NIN as there was not a copy of Pretty Hate Machine in all of Leeds today. Hmph.

Re: Getting into it. in General Therapy? Topics

lolol, well done :) Definitely one of the finest programs ever written. We should have a “see how much custard you can hold in your underpants” competition on the board.

Have a look at http://www.richie-and-eddie.co.uk The site’s down for maintanance (<after several attempts, I have given up trying to spell that right!) at the moment but there’s an excellent trailer for it to download and it should be up and running again soon.

Bonus points for knowing what program the butterfly thing is from ;)

Re: Getting into it. in General Therapy? Topics

I first heard them in February 1994. A couple of friends had heard a single on the radio and found out they were playing a gig that week. I had a spare £8 and trusted their judgement so I went along with them. We were on the front row and it was one of the best gigs I’ve ever been to. I announced then and there that they were my favourite band and they have been ever since.

Worst Therapy? Songs in General Therapy? Topics

Title: Worst Therapy? Songs

Following on from Tubbs’ thread, what Therapy? songs could you quite happily live without?

I think I’d be happy if they’d never covered CC Rider and I’ll never know what possessed them to record Bowels of Love - though both of these songs really make me laugh so it’s not all bad ;)

Re: what is the perfect Therapy? song? in General Therapy? Topics

I think Safe is probably my favourite but it’s hard because different songs are favouriters for different reasons, like Nowhere because it’s the first Therapy? song I heard, Misery because I remember being on the tour when Infernal Love came out and having that song stuck in my head. There are many special ones.

The track was Accelerator but I’ve only seen the film a couple of times and I can’t remember which bit it’s actually in.

Soundtracks in General Therapy? Topics

I’m investigating soundtracks that Therapy? have been featured on. I have Judgement Night and Kalifornia - what others are there?

Re: Road Rash songs ? in General Therapy? Topics

Title: Whichwhatwhenwhyeee?

Which Road Rash game?!

I have RR3D (on ps1) and there’s none on there. I do have the soundtrack to RR Jailbreak but I’ve never actually bothered to listen to it and it doesn’t have a tracklisting.

Re: one for the ladies: beards! in General Therapy? Topics

Yup

Definitely Andy’s beard. My bf has one in a similar style, though he changes his mind every 5 minutes so it’ll probably be gone by the time I finish typing this, lol. Is indecisiveness a trait of all blokes with facial fluff?

Re: most appreciated attributes of T? members in General Therapy? Topics

Heh heh heh

Okay, Andy is appreciated for being the most approachable man ever, very amiable and for getting people passes for soundchecks (he did for me and I think he’s done that many times for people who bother to turn up at 2 in the afternoon!).

Michael, well I think we all know what we appreciate about Michael (T?bopper is with me here…lol)

I’ve never met Graham or Martin but think they were/are both a very positive influence in the band. I shall appreciate Fyfe for his wide variety of comedy faces and Bee-Gees style dancing.

Re: most embarrassing thing ever happened to you in General Therapy? Topics

Sat on the balcony at Rock City (Nottingham) having a drink with Fyfe and my boss coming and quite literally frog-marching me back to work. I felt about <-> this big :(
