Re: Metallica in Other Bands & Artists
An “I cLubs Metallica to death” one would be lovely. Can it be altered?

Much as I thought I would never say this, can you stick to talking about Met - no, I can’t do it. That band that this thread is about. *covers ears*

Re: Johnny Rotten on Coldplay… in Other Bands & Artists
Well said Grant. I was reading an interview with Alec Baldwin earlier:
Observer Review wrote:
…here Baldwin is, perched on a stool in the bar of the Four Seasons Hotel, Los Angeles, smiling his cupid’s bow smile and benignly sipping an iced coffee. Is it safe to ask him why he gets so furious? He looks at me, unsmiling, for several seconds.
‘Well if you have four bad days in four straight years, then all four of them are depicted in the media, then yeah. The other 360 days of the year, when you’re just handing out lollipops and riding unicorns through cotton-candy forests and everything’s so magical, they don’t report that. When you tell the cab driver to go fuck himself, that’s who you are that year. The media takes you on your worst day and says: that’s who you are as a person.’
- Which is why I hate gossip columnists.

It’s all the botox…
My housemate was horrified by the fact that she thought Coldplay’s recent single was ‘quite good’. I agree with Rotten though, it’s all just so bland and samey. Bleugh.

Re: ‘a’ in Other Bands & Artists
Neither was the third.
I had a rummage and found four A singles on vinyl, I had a listen to Bad Idea and my god it’s awful! I don’t know what I saw/heard in them at the time. If they’ve reformed perhaps now is the time to try eBay them, mwohahaha.

Re: Little John Rocket… in Other Bands & Artists
“A warm hello to you our newsletter friend from Little John Rocket.
Our new single BASEMENT is out now!!!
Little John rocket has found out it does not take as many downloads of a song to get into the charts (top 100) as you would think! Other than us wanting you to download and own BASEMENT since it is a great RICO produced track… we want to crack the chart. BUT we can only do it with your help.
So, we want YOU to personally be involved in getting a band into the charts. How hard can it be!?!?!
And there are only 2 simple things you have to do.
Download BASEMENT our single from iTunes or Napster for a mere 79p
Copy this message and pass it on in an email to all your address book friends that would like to help a band storm the charts, so they may download it and pass this message on too!
It takes no time at all to download (the important bit)…
… and think of it less as a chain letter… and more of a way for you and your friends to get your own back on the charts with genuine independent music! If we can prove it can be done… then anyone can do it… SO JOIN THE EXPERIMENT.
We only have a ‘3 DAY’ window form right now to do this… so PLEASE click on the link below, (no mp3 player… well.. get involved anyway!!! :-)
And then pass this on to your friends in your address book that would help in the chart music struggle.
We will keep you up to date of how the campaign goes… come on… lets “raid the charts”.
Thank you, x
Don’t hesitate, it needs everyone, act now to claim back the charts.
This is a link to our official site where there is a direct link to either iTunes or Napster for you. http://www.littlejohnrocket.com/audio.html
or search iTunes for Little John Rocket (BASEMENT)”

the intro to “Jump around” by house of pain cos you KNOW whats coming!
Bahah, I was reading this thread before and decided to have a think and this was the track I concluded was my bestest intro. It’s also the mothership’s worst song in the world, so jump quietly..
Also should mention Safe by T? and the chilled start to Brian Wilson by BNL..

Re: The Moldy Peaches in Other Bands & Artists
*sings* “Jessica Simpson, where has your love gone? It’s not in your music…” I haven’t really listened to Moldy Peaches so much but you should get yerself some Adam Green, Grant, he’s ace. My flatmate bought his latest album t’other day but I haven’t had chance to thieve it yet.

Did you give me the CD? Did you give it to Ruth? I bet she’s sneaked off with it. I shall go reclaim it.
