Re: Song I made a year or 2 back in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

It sounds how I imagine Trent Reznor’s first demo tape :)

Re: Band names in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

Heheh I’ve always wanted to be in a band called either ‘To Be Announced’ or ‘Plus Support’ :D

Re: Wot Effects Is Andy Using On The Webgig? in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

Quote (author unknown):

Message from Andy C

I used a Boss compressor/ sustainer and a Boss dd3 Delay. The distortion is from the overdriven amp head.

Cheers, Andy C.

Re: Best Bass Riffs ever! in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

If you want to stay in the T? section of the boards, they’d better be T? riffs :p

Re: Where to advertise for band members.. in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

Another alternative is to use a custom-made knuckle-duster to make your mark… *punches d on forehead* - observe, the red scabby bit now reads ‘I’m an idiot’. :p

Re: Where to advertise for band members.. in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

I read recently that people have started selling advertising space on their body. If you shaved your head you could advertise on the back of it… thus gaining extra exposure and making a tidy profit, providing you charge yourself a reasonable rate.

Re: German speaking musicians wanted for T? tunes? in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

I’ve got a grade E in German GCSE which I took ten years ago. I can remember how to say “Ich weiß nicht” and “Ich kann nicht Deutsches sprechen”… which has served me perfectly well thus far :)

There’s no point Hooching me, I can’t understand a word you’re all on about. If someone wishes to offer a translation, I will try and help.

Re: Unbeliever in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

Would it not be Spelling Police? Spellings do not come under the linguistic banner of grammar.

Re: I Beg You Guys For ‘bad Mother’ Tab!!!! in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

I think it means the sound that is made when I try to play an E ;)

Re: Can you do this? in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

I have a friend who can do that, literally just hear a song once and then play it. He’s been playing guitar since he was 11 so that’s a good 15 years of practice.

I, meanwhile, had difficulty when my daughter asked me to play Twinkle Twinkle Little Star on her Barbie keyboard

Re: Shamless Self-promotion (with a few T? covers thrown in) in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

I don’t know, I haven’t heard them!

On all of them I get this error, even though I don’t use Netscape. :(

(Before changing the message boards’ software in August 2007 this post had a file attachment, which may return in the future)

Re: Shamless Self-promotion (with a few T? covers thrown in) in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

Yeah, it means you’ve had too many people download your songs for one day.

According the the error message I got you can upgrade to a premium account so more people can access it each day but sounds like a bit of a swizz so…

“As soon as the total downloads from this account over a 24 hour period drops below the accounts limit, downloads will be restored.”

I’d take everything off the site for 24 hours and then put them back up, see if that does it :)

Re: Unbeliever in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

I didn’t know that - a bit embarassing to have owned 4 copies of that album for so many years and never bothered to read the sleeve…

Re: Your reviews and web-pages in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

Title: my webpages

http://www.bloodsundae.co.uk - awesome metal action

http://www.limitedaddiction.co.uk - sadly defunct grrl rock joy, still nice for nostalgia and certainly the best web design I’ve ever done, hence it lives on ;)

http://www.moveablefeastproductions.co.uk - for all your thespian needs. Not that I imagine you have many.

Re: sister guitar tab in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

Heh heh, I knew that bit. I just remember when I was doing the lyrics for this site (yes, I know they’re not there yet ;)) it was really hard to do it with all the backing vocals.

Hoochlove for you http://images.bravenet.com/common/images/smilies/kissing.gif

Re: sister guitar tab in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

Equally, anybody writing out the vocals in any semblance of order with have the Hoochlove distended upon them…

Re: My Band in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

Went to see my flatmate’s band tonight - they do a kick ass version of Breaking The Law :D My sister’s band cover Screamager, though I try regularly to persuade them to do Sister instead…
