Re: Lady WoMbles ONLY - Blokes keep out. in Chit-Chat
Beautiful baby!! *wets the baby’s head with mojito* *Literally* oops :s
Moonlighting is cracking mum, apart from the theme tune which is the worst thing I have ever heard in my life. Youtube it to witness the horror.

Hello Mommy :)
*starts making mojitos*
I just got the first two series of Moonlighting on DVD - would you like to borrow when I’m done? I can’t remember if you were a fan or not.

Re: Looking for funny British comedy shows in Chit-Chat
Erm, Mitchell and Webb write about 10% of their sketch show… have you seen the credits list on their CDs? It’s huge. What I would say about them is that the radio show was genuinely brilliant.. I don’t think it was adapted for TV particularly well and sadly more people know them for TV than radio.

Re: Films that should be shit… but end up being great in Chit-Chat
I think it was Billy Baldwin in Backdraft. Alec is the one from 30Rock (effing brilliant, if you haven’t seen it). Then there’s Stephen and Daniel. One of them was in The Usual Suspects and the other one just does TV I think, can’t remember which way round though.

I’ll watch anything with The Rock in… I even sat through The Scorpion King with a grin on my face.

Re: Films that should have been great, but… in Chit-Chat
Tomb Raider should have been good.. I remember being really disappointed about that.
I really love Tenacious D but Jack Black is just good at doing that character - I don’t like him in owt else.

Re: Films that should be shit… but end up being great in Chit-Chat
Sadly no. It’s about some blokes… one has just been released from prison and they’re on their way to his wedding when one of the ‘best men’ decides to rob a bank and they all get inveigled into helping him… with hilarious consequences. It’s got Dean Cain in it.

Hahaha, that looks ace… if you get it can I borrow it? :D
In return I shall lend you Best Men. I can’t begin to describe the awfulness… but it’s brilliant!

Re: Little Britain USA in Chit-Chat
I thought it was really lame, but I know people who think it’s a work of genius so maybe I’m missing something. I don’t get all the fuss over The Mighty Boosh either.

Films that shouldn’t suck… most recent one for me would be Peter Jackson’s version of King Kong. Terrible.

Re: Studying Drums (Charlie Has A New Idea) in Chit-Chat
I’ve changed the thread title - perhaps a more generic discussion about the study of percussive arts?

I don’t know it… can you find a band who do a punk cover? They’re always played at twice the speed.

Re: Unemployment in Chit-Chat
Voluntary work or a college course would both improve your CV and provide you with a recent referee. If you’re on the dole then you can get on plenty of courses for free. When I became a single parent I had to sign on, so I got myself on an ICT course and walked straight from completing the course into a job. Bearing in mind the only work experience I had was working in a newsagents four years earlier, I think my pro-active approach was a big influence on my employer.

Re: Unemployment in Chit-Chat
I don’t know how it works in Eire but here it’s worth signing on even though it’s a hassle, as at least it means your National Insurance is kept up to date.

Re: In the news… in Chit-Chat
On second viewing, I realised that. The first time I thought it was just showing a bee repeatedly falling for the same thing, which is the exact opposite of what the article claimed would happen.

Re: In the news… in Chit-Chat
Today we were in a taxi and she ‘piped up’ “Oh bollocks, I forgot to flush the chain”. I nearly died.
In the news: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/7596808.stm
This all sounds very impressive but watch the video - am I missing something about the cleverness of bees?
