Re: they could have been big in General Therapy? Topics
I like Divers, what little I’ve heard anyway - which amounts to the Little Less Nothing single. That was a fair while back though, are they still around?
I am personally campaigning for my sister to be the new drummer since she kicks ass and hey, free Therapy? for me :) On that note, what do you think it would be like if they did get a female drummer?

Nooo! Don’t judge by Chamber Music! I didn’t even bother to buy it but the first (Coal Chamber) and last (Dark Days) albums are both fantastic.
BB - I’ll do you a copy of Dark Days if you like (and you WP, should you wish to receive an education ;)). lol@the t-shirt, my prized possession is my CC beanie hat (especially useful when you have hair bleaching disasters).

Re: reccomendations in Other Bands & Artists
Wish is by far my favourite Cure album. I think my favourite tracks are Apart and A Letter to Elise but frankly there’s not a bad song on there so it’s hard to choose.

Yey another Coal Chamber fan! Sway and Bradley I think are my favourite tracks off that album. Have you ever seen them live? Definitely one of my gigging highlights :D

Re: I did a bad thing. in Chit-Chat
lolol I think strawberry blonde is a special colour visible only to mothers. My mum had the same thing…
After a morning’s tribulations my hair is now black with red bits at the front and running through it in a style I like to call “highlights” as opposed to “I missed a bit”. All in all not a bad effort. Unfortunately my head is sore from the double bleaching effort so I’ve doused it in baby oil and have very slippery hands, not best for trying to type ;)

I did a bad thing. in Chit-Chat
Title: I did a bad thing.
You know when your hair has been various shades of (dyed) red for a long time?
And you know when you suddenly have an inspirational thought in Morrisons and say “Gawd, I haven’t been blonde in aaages, I’ll buy some bleach.”?
And you know when the instructions on the bleach say you shouldn’t put it on top of red hairdye?
And you know when you think “But I haven’t actually dyed it for a while, I’ve got roots showing so that probably doesn’t count”?
And you know when you bleach your hair and it looks bad so you bleach it again half and hour later?
And you know when you now have blonde roots followed by a weird ginger halo followed by still red hair?
And you know when all of tomorrow is going to be spent putting more dye on in order to fix it?
I’m sure there’s a lesson here somewhere…

Re: Can’t take me anywhere… in Chit-Chat
BB - I have a friend who has been in virtually the same position as you regarding ex-girlfriend in the picture. After months of hassle (and destroying her boyfriend’s mobile twice, just to stop the incessant calls) she discovered the solution - setting crazy-ex up with a new man! It has worked a treat and she is now enjoying her chap in peace. Of course this rather depends on finding an eligible bachelor keen to take on the emotional baggage of a psycholady - so good luck with that!
I know what you mean about family / friends interfering too. When I left my husband I incurred the wrath of pretty much everyone I knew, especially since I went straight into another relationship. Nine months seems like a plenty big space - wide enough for everyone to see you’re not going back to the ex anyhoo. I’m sure they’ll get over it once they see that you’re serious :)

Title: I’m late!
So much to say, this is about 20 different threads in one :)
1. mmm…kegs…Andy Cairns is damn fine and I won’t hear a word said against him (apart from a certain photo with a banana peel sticking out of his arse - anyone else remember that?)
2. Congratulations to Auto_Surgery on having better luck than the rest of us.
3. I think it’s most fortunate that T? weren’t pushed in America, or anywhere else for that matter. They’ve been able to always go their own way (I think) and I like that they’ve never really hit the mainstream. I wept when they were on Top of the Pops, that was very, very wrong.
4. Surely one of the best things about T? is that all of their albums are unique and therefore fresh and interesting? If they released 9 Troublegums or 9 Infernal Loves etc it would probably be rather dull.
5. I still don’t like Shameless. Or at least, not enough to play it. I’ve listened to it and think it was okay but I never think “I’ll listen to Shameless” whereas I have urges to listen to the other albums, if you see what I mean.
6. All credit to them for still being nice, genuine people.
7. For the record, my favourites are Semi-Detached and Suicide Pact but all the albums have high and low points. I think they should have left So Much… to a public vote cause I certainly wouldn’t call it a best of.
8. I really, really, really, really hate Bowels of Love.
9. No, I think that’s it ;)

You are not endearing anyone to your scheme by mass posting all over the forum. In fact, you’re making people want to shoot you. Kindly fuck off.

I have a CD recorder but I try to only use it for stuff that I can’t buy (rare albums and the like) or to make compilations - I know that beggars shouldn’t be choosers but I can’t help it, I like originals!

Ew! I’ve had a phobia about coke ever since I saw that experiment where you disolve a tooth in a glass of it - I only drink the diet stuff though I doubt it’s much better really, lol.
Mr Dentist was actually very nice although apparently they’re no longer allowed to give you gas / knock you out at all. Eek! Anyway, I didn’t have to have any injections today so hoorah :D

*sigh* I have made a concerted not to get drunk tonight since I have an evil dentist appointment in the morning and do not wish to have hangover breath, in case he decides to exact his revenge with added drilling.

Names in Chit-Chat
Title: Names
So I’m looking through the member list (what’s the point of having a member list if you’re not going to look through it once in a while? Or maybe you just really are that bored.) and I started pondering where people get their user names from cause there are some very odd ones out there (Like “Alan” - what the hell does that mean? ;))
Anyway, a thread in which you have the chance to explain yourself!
Hoochalobster, in homage to dear Dr Heimlich - “Hoocha hoocha hoocha, and the lobster will come out.” (2 points to White Psycho :D)

Re: paradox situation in Chit-Chat
lol, I have that all the time. I think it’s why I’ve stopped reading any music magazines / listening to the radio and Therapy? are still my favourite band after 8 years - can’t afford to like anything else, heh heh.
I definitely feel like that about Jaw Breaker, I just never listen to the small amount of stuff I own cause I know I will have to have it aaaaaaall…

What other games did Core do?

lolol, I laughed at the wheelchair bit too, especially since it was creepy guy out of Happiness (which you HAVE to see if you haven’t already :))
I got really bugged about the going to the house at night but have been told, quite sternly, that this is so he could get into the mindset of the murderer by reinacting his movements exactly. I thought it was just to scare us.

I saw it the other night and thought it was good fun, way better than Hannibal. The fact that the sole thing they have done to make Anthony Hopkins look young is give him a little record producer ponytail (as in Wayne’s World 2) made me laugh and apparently Edward Norton’s character is quite old in the book but no fake beardy and greyness for him (thank god). It does have a bit of a Misery complex at the end but hey, what good horror film doesn’t?
Absolute best line that made me cry tears of joy: “I have oodles.”

I agree Michael, these films are very subjective. I still haven’t managed to sit all the way through Natural Born Killers (or Withnail and I!) I did really love both Pulp Fiction and Fight Club though.

Heh heh, I’ve never known the “But I thought he was you” line to go down well.
Ne’er mind, we’ve all been there sometime. I once woke up in my then boyfriend’s housemate’s bed and had a complete panic attack as I couldn’t remember the night before. Lucky for me the trusty bloke had merely found me in a drunken heap on his bed and kindly taken to the sofa :)

I’m gonna go out on a limb and guess that a digipack is a shitty cardboard thing that falls apart if you go within 3 feet of it and a jewel case is a cunning plastic device that actually goes some way towards protecting your CD (unless you stand on it)? I always did wonder.

Well there you go, just proves my point that posts are open to misinterpretation ;)
I do know what you mean about cliques but I’ve always found T? fans to be approachable and chatty, either here, at gigs or just in a club when you run up to people wearing T? t-shirts and tell them how great they are, heh heh.
So are we agreed you’re going to stick around?
