Re: BBC Sessions - music through a cheap transistor in General Therapy? Topics
On which “other good download sites” can I get the release?
So far, I’ve only found it on the UK iTunes store, but I can’t buy anything from there ‘cause I’m Dutch…

Re: OCFA reviews please… in General Therapy? Topics
Luckily I don’t have anything to do with the download business on this one. I am a supporter of this band and have pre-ordered and paid for the new album, regardless of the fact someone handed me over a promo release. I don’t know if I was clear enough about it in earlier posts, but my opionion about OCFA is not fully developed yet. Like a lot of T? stuff, songs grow. I figured if someone asks for an opinion, I could give my first impressions on the album. I hope that’s not a bad thing, and I can’t wait to hear this stuff live!

Actually I did that on purpose, ‘cause I’m not so deep in the new material yet :)

Re: OCFA reviews please… in General Therapy? Topics
Someone gave me a promo of OCFA (and it was not me who put it on the internet). First I had a promo CD with Sprung on it, which gave me great expectations for the rest of the album. When I got the album I was really excited and I couldn’t wait to get home and crank it in my stereo. With Sprung I instantly loved the track, just like I had with Church of Noise or Stories. But the rest of the album didn’t hit me the same right away. As I listen to it more I start to like some songs better, but in some songs the repeats of lines in the choruses can’t really hold my attention. This never happened to me with songs like Straight Life, Turn or Disgracelands, which have the same. I like: Deluded Son, Lose it all, Dopamine seratonin, adrenaline, Rain hits concrete, Fear of god and Walk through darkness. But what I hoped for after hearing Sprung is not really there. But still, there are definately great songs on it!

I like it, but I like Sprung better also.

I also like it in real life! :D
(Before changing the message boards’ software in August 2007 this post had a file attachment, which may return in the future)

Re: Sprung in General Therapy? Topics
Ofcourse I would not post or email an mp3 of this song to anyone or anywhere without permission, BUT I can tell you the following:
The Jack Daniel’s Rock Nights promo CD will be handed out by Jack Daniel promo teams in Tilburg and Amsterdam. The organisation offered me a very small number of copies to give away for free and I will do so here. The first five people who drop me a line via email juri@juriverstappen.nl will be sent a copy of this CD via snailmail. So be fast ;-)

Re: Sprung in General Therapy? Topics
I got it from someone I know who is in the organisation. If it’s OK with T? I could post an mp3 somewhere, but I’m not sure if they’d appreciate that…

Title: Sprung
Right now I have a copy of the promotion CD for The Jack Daniels Rock Nights on my desk with “Sprung” on it… I gotta tell you all - it rocks! This song has a groove that sounds kinda like “Meat abstract”.

Re: Hey everyone the russian Therapy website has every t? mp3s in General Therapy? Topics
I don’t think this is funny. They’ve created their own misery. Let them deal with it instead of telling everyone mp3’s a bad thing.
Paying for mp3 is just too funny. Most of it sounds so crap, eventually there will be no more cd’s in stores left I guess.

Re: Six mile water, sister, wall of mouths?? in General Therapy? Topics
You can actually look it on a map, there is also a river/stream in N-Ireland that is called Six Mile Water. Not far away from Belfast in County Anthem.

Actually I think it is: “When you pirate mp3, you’re downloading communism”

Re: Hey everyone the russian Therapy website has every t? mp3s in General Therapy? Topics
What is this? Next to every album on this page there is a little picture on the right that says something like: “If you purette Mp3, you’re downloading communism”. Maybe a little bit dramatical?

Re: moment of clarity in General Therapy? Topics
I sometimes just listen to the music and ignore the lyrics. Screamager makes me feel happy, just like Loose and Stories.

Christian: There is an interview somewhere on the net with Andy and Martin on a summerfestival in German a few years ago. When they talk about websites Andy says something like: ‘Our official page is crap but there is a very good site called Teethgrinder…’

Re: Stop mentioning Fyfe’s name, please in General Therapy? Topics
They are both great drummers. Listen to Suing God, and all the other stuff that came out after Fyfe left. And not to put of Graham here, but Fyfe is a genious. He is left handed. And most geniouses are left handed. Anyway, I’m not gonna say either one is better. They were both excellent drummers for T?.

Re: Stop mentioning Fyfe’s name, please in General Therapy? Topics
Yeah I agree. Asking for Fyfe to come back shortly after Graham left, first of all, is giving Graham a hard time. It is like your girlfriend broke up with you and the next thing you know she is on the phone with her ex boyfriend asking him what he’s up to that night. If you know what I mean. On the other hand.. I think it was imaginable people were gonna ask about Fyfe, they have been doing that all the time. Anyway, let’s not get too serious about this, shall we ;-)
cya.
