Re: rip offs in General Therapy? Topics
Compare ‘I won’t hold you back’ by Toto to ‘Another Chance’ by Roger Sanchez. Very good.
cheers.

Re: Song with the best lyrics in General Therapy? Topics
Nice guys mentioned Misery, and I actually really agree with him. One of the best T? lyrics around. ‘You’ve always left me wanting, and now I want you to leave’ for instance.

They had ‘Therapy?’ in the Marshall font on the amp, just like Micheal said back in ‘94.

Re: the sad truth in General Therapy? Topics
Right, I didn’t read all the thread through, ‘cause it usually gets boring after 10 posts or so, ppl start posting one line, and the discussion dies really. Anyway here is reaction.
First of all I think it is disrespectfull that T? has gone downhill since fyfe left. That’s just shite. I mean c’mon stop drowning in your past… Graham is great drummer and he can play Teethgrinder just as well. Laying the connection between the fact that fyfe left and the quality of the albums going downhill, has more sayings about the person who has this opinion than about the band. Didn’t they make SPYF to scare the ppl away who wanted to have like a million new troublegums. This band grew up, and some fans stayed behind, hanging on to the past.
Personally I think Infernal Love, Semi-Detached and SPYF are really great albums. It is a wide range of styles T? covers with their albums, but they all have something of the same.
Besides I think it is kind of an angry, disrespectfull reaction to say that Shameless is shite, just because you expected another Troublegum. Tell me, didn’t you? Therapy? is the one band in the industry that had the guts to go the other way where they could have made it big time by answering the expectations of the Troublegum fans. By doing that, they made it big time with me. I respect them more than any other band I know. They’re not Elvis, but they’re allright, as simple as that. Love and RESPECT to Therapy?
By the way, this is in reply to the one that started this topic. Innocentx if I remember well. (Memory of a goldfish sometimes).
seeya.

Re: No Melkweg comments? in Therapy? Live
Yeah the condom…lol! I dont think it was used, at least not for what it was meant for.. Just as a toy. It was on the floor monitor all the time and someone in front just threw it onto micheal’s bass…

No Melkweg comments? in Therapy? Live
Title: No Melkweg comments?
I’ll start the thread then.. Not really much to comment, except thet it was a really good gig.. The band was in a really good shape, the technical performance surprised me very much. Setlist was great also, though I’d love to hear Jude the obscene or 30 seconds or any infernal love song other than Diane & Stories. Suing God would be nice as well as Fat Camp and Little Tongues First. No Potato Junkie at the end, but that’s allright.
I really liked it when this guy got on stage whil they were playing screamager and he stood there lighting his cigarette, and he just stood there too long… Suddenly they stopped playing and Martin started to shout ‘jump! jump!’ Putting the force of the audience on him he finally jumped… And they started the song right where they stopped it…Excellent smithers..

Re: Heather Nova - Amsterdam in Other Bands & Artists
Satanslittlehelper: Kloot doesn’t mean anything in english? Well they explained to us, it means something like ‘vague’. Maybe they made it up themselves, which seems to be the case, ‘cause there’s no entry for the word ‘kloot’ in dictionary.com

Re: whats T? song has best guitar sound or drum sound? in General Therapy? Topics
And Suing God sounds really really great…the thing on Andy’s vocal in the second verse and in the chorus. I think it’s a harmonizer that adds a second vocal part pitched up a few notes. (because it sounds to be in exact sync with the original vocal line).

Re: whats T? song has best guitar sound or drum sound? in General Therapy? Topics
I just love all the noisyness on Semi-Detached…
The rest of the albums sound great too, but I think Nurse sounds a bit weird. I especially like Born In A Crash. I think Shameless sounds a bit too polished..

Heather Nova - Amsterdam in Other Bands & Artists
Title: Heather Nova - Amsterdam
Anyone been there last saturday (the 27th october)? It was a nice gig but same as all Heather Nova shows.. She did a pretty good cover of BeeGees, Stayin’ Alive and that was pretty cool though :)
The support act was ‘I Am Kloot’. They walk up on stage and the singer says:’Hi, we’re I Am Kloot…We’re from Manchester, England.. How the fuck were we supposed to know what Kloot means here?!’ Pretty funny…
(Kloot comes from klootzak, which means asshole:)

Re: Dutch Shows in Therapy? Live
I will show up in Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Utrecht. Btw I think I’m on a photo on therapyquestionmark.co.uk. Ofcourse I’m the only one that can recognise myself because it’s very vague and in the middle of the crowd. It’s in the pics section (there are some pics of last years nighttown gig).
Anyway, if you wanna know what I look like, there’s pics on my bands site http://www.soundchecktheband.nl - I’m the bass player.
