Re: Therapy? page on last fm in General Therapy? Topics
Weird - I was just on this page a few minutes ago, never even noticed. Chances are whoeer updated the page wasn’t aware of their current situation and was just following a template by putting the same links on each page, but yeah I have to agree people who sign up to that will get updates about current Universal bands and not T? I’d imagine - Can anything be done about it?

Re: Metallica in Other Bands & Artists
I checked out two of the tracks last night, The day that never comes & My Apocalypse. They do sound like a return to proevious style but I found TDTNC repatative after listening to it a few times.
I’m in two minds whether to get the album or not

ok.
Is it possible he could have blocked the page somehow?
Doubtful, I would imagine it”s something to do with the browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox) cache or cokkies if your able to access it logged onto the PC as yourself. Have you tried clearing the cache/cookies/temp internet files? (Tools -> Options)

At what stage do you get page cannot be displayed, after you put your username/password in?
Could you try accessing it from another computer, or if not try another browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera) to try and fault find?

Re: Andy in a US Magazine?!?!? It’s True!! in General Therapy? Topics
You can buy Guitar World in the uk as an import mag - some large ‘independent’ news agents usually stock it. It usually has a sticker stuck over the original bar code with a uk price of around 3.95 on it.
I’ve defo had a few copies in the past http://www.guitarworld.com/

Re: Web Gig video in General Therapy? Topics
Yeah I’d agree - I bought it and was hugely disappointed that they managed to make all the requested songs sound flat and lifeless

Re: Is it hard to set up a web site? in Chit-Chat
Check out http://www.gradwell.com/webhosting/ they are a service provider that will allow you to purchase domain names and host them on their servers, you can also setup pop3 (type of service for email) email addresses with you domain names - it’s all real simple and if you get that far drop me a line and I can guide you through things. Costs about £10 a month, so may not be the avenue you wanna explore cos there a free unix platforms available - can’t remember any right now but I’ll post when I do, one I used once was based in Texas…
I couldn’t help with the construction of the web site I’m afraid - you’d need a graphic/web designer for that but there are plenty of tools to choose from as people have already pointed out

I’m not convinced I’m gonna like this album either, from the sound of things, but it’s early days
Some other vids would be amazing though :-)

Re: sg owners unite! in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)
hmm this sounds familiar - I had a Schector guitar, I forget what the exact model was but I had similar problems with that - neck heavy and the Tune-o-matic bridge that won’t go down far enough - what are the adjustments on the saddles like, this may have an impact on the action

Of course, their bridge setup is similar to a Les Paul

Re: T? Fans at Glastonbury Festival? in Chit-Chat
I’ve been to glasto 3 or 4 times, I can’t remember how many exactly but all I know is before that ‘million pound fence’ went up there was something for everyone. I went the last year before that fence and saw loads of ace bands, Muse, QOTSA (with Dave Grohl), Bloodhound Gang, NIN, Cypress Hill, Lost Prophets, Electric six - anyway what I’m trying to say is the other stage used to have some pretty good rock bands on it and then it just turned into the nme stage full of shit bands with no crowd interaction. I went for one of the years after the fence went up and I think the best and only good band I saw all weekend was the Darkness, that’s around the time they were just breaking through.
I do agree that Glastonbury has a lot more to offer than any other festival, but you know if I paid a 100 and something pounds for a ticket to a music festival I’d want to see/hear some music - The only thing I will say is if the other stage returned to staging the kind of bands it used to this would be an awesome festival - the problem is it’s just to commercial these days which is a real shame.
On another note the first time I went there was 15 of us in a mini but with 4 tickets – all I remember is four went in, then one would come out with the other three tickets and another 4 would go in, this was obviously before they thought of wrist bands

Re: Lost… in Chit-Chat
Ahh you see, I leave typing away on message boards till I’m at work :)
Thats fair enough to . I don’t see any problem with taking something serious if you like it though, there are obviously extremes but Butters is defending a program which he likes, and I for one agree with him

Re: Lost… in Chit-Chat
Completely - the program never tried to be anything but fictional.
The opening scene to the pilot was one of the lead characters lying in the jungle, with a few scratches on him - he’d just been thrown from a 747 plain that had crash landed - the show has always portrayed an element of mystery that have been ascribed to science fiction or supernatural phenomena from the get go - logical explanantion??? Are you sure you weren’t watching Desperate Housewives?

Re: Lost… in Chit-Chat
Hang on a minute, he’s not mentioning Dallas or any other gay fucking show - he merely said that the creators of lost had a game plan which thy write the story around - what’s so hard to beleive about that?

Re: Lost… in Chit-Chat
I have to agree with butters I’m afraid - the ideas were thought out to begin with by the creators, they may have changed slightly but I think the origonal concept and idea still remains
I’ve been a fan from the start and every episode is cleverly though out and there are always so may little things, such as songs that are playing to books people are reading and the way that everyones lives seems to have crossed before they go to the island.
