THERAPY? set to deliver ‘A Brief Crack Of Light’ in Feb 2012

Seminal Irish rockers THERAPY? are set to release thunderous new album ‘A Brief Crack Of Light’ on February 6th 2012. It will be preceded by the ‘Living In The Shadow Of A Terrible Thing’ single on January 23rd.

Released on BLAST Records (a subsidiary of The Global Music Group), it was recorded at Blast Studios in Newcastle with producer, Adam Sinclair, and displays a stunning mix of angular rhythm, anthemic might and insidious melody.

Given it’s mid way through November I can’t see us getting anything this year now and that says January the 23rd for the release of a single

Shit the bed, Neck Freak is one of my all time favs and that sounds brutal.

To be honest I was going to give this a miss, wasn’t very impressed with the web gig and generally get bored with live albums very quickly but I will most definitely be picking this up now.

Don’t kid yourselves, it’s the fans who bought it first time around that get fleeced by this kind of thing. I mean, that buy this kind of thing.

Nothing against extra tracks, remixes etc but reissues this soon after a release are a bit insulting, in my opinion. Might as well sign to Roadrunner if you’re into that kind of thing.

Couldn’t agree more - I have always purchased everything to support the band but I won’t be on this occasion

Andy, why is your guitar sound becoming so thin (crap?) when playing live. I mean, when you heard the killer distortion sound you had with teethgrinder back in 94/95, now hearing the intro played with a slight overdrive really kills all my pogo’in potential !

Then why is it that the complete album is being ignored live (apart from “Sister” in 2006)?

I think this is such a valid point - it’s only the die hard fans that are left now in reality without media support and I know I’m not alone in saying I’d like to hear far more off of every album (yes, even shameless).

I’d also like more info about whats planned for the big 20th birthday bash

Well I only ordered from the website as I wanted the Vinyl as well and thought I’d order together to save on postage, there was an option for comments during the order so I asked “Will I recieve these items on the 23rd?”, here’s the responce:

If you order it from Global Music website don’t order the Vinyl at the same time, I was told if you do this neither of them will arrive until the 30th at the earliest as the Vinyl won’t be available until then.

Wow, just heard ‘Blacken the Page’ - at first I thought there was a mistake (this doesn’t sound like Therapy?) but it was a pretty cool tune - I’m really looking forward to this new Album now
