Re: Fyfe to record with Ginger in Other Bands & Artists

I too hadn’t pledged but I will be now - a chance to hear Fyfe playing again is great news. I hope he tours with Ginger as well

Re: RIP Gary Moore… in Other Bands & Artists

I was pretty shocked to hear about Gary Moore - such a brilliant, scratch that, amazing guitarist. Truley underatted, just watching him bend the life out of every note on that fret board makes the hairs onthe back of my neck stand on their ends

Re: Soundgarden Reunite in Other Bands & Artists

Wow that’s great news - I was just thinking about their reunion the other day and wondered if they’d appear on any big festival line ups this year. I’m guessing not now

Re: Stone Temple Pilots in Other Bands & Artists

Re: Stone Temple Pilots in Other Bands & Artists

lol thats bloody brilliant - poor guy hasn’t got a bloody clue what’s going on

Re: Stone Temple Pilots in Other Bands & Artists

I’d only just read that on BM - it reminds me of story from when around the time STP got back together. He started rambling at a gig, after being late on stage, and the band just started to play while he spewed random wreck head crap. I wonder what the back stage talk is like “Hey Scott next time you’ll wish you had fallen off stage”

Thing is, would his music have been so good without the wehat ever magic power he’s on?

Re: HELMET - new album in Other Bands & Artists

Cool - thanks for that, I wasn’t sure whther to pick it up or not. I think I’ve listened to Monochrome 3 or 4 times asnd took it out of my play list. I’ll get a copy this weekend after payday.

I didn’t know they were playing Manchester - I’d only seen a gig in London listed

Re: Stone Temple Pilots in Other Bands & Artists

I’m suprised he remembers what the bloody question was - he’s just rambling.

Well…

I wonder if they’ll make it to the UK this time around - I’m sure they haven’t been here since 2004

Re: Soundgarden Reunite in Other Bands & Artists

Does he say no to the reunion or to them appearing at the Coachella festival in April though? I think if it wasn’t true someone would have come forward with a statement to say otherwise by now surely??

I’ve had Superunknown on in my car since I heard about this the other day, love that album

Re: Alice In Chains in Other Bands & Artists

Man thats sounds awesome, I cannot wait for this album.

Duval sounds like the right guy to replace Layne

Re: Green Day in Other Bands & Artists

I haven’t heard it yet but as my misses is still a fairly big fan I was thinking about getting it for her - If it’s anything like the last album though, all the songs will get played to death and I’ll never want to hear it again. I loved Dookie when I was 15, but when tracks from it come up on my iPod now I just skip them now, it’s the same with their other albums as well.

I don’t know what it is about Green Day, they get older, but they’re fans don’t seem to.

Re: Marilyn Manson in Other Bands & Artists

…or when the interviewer ask him about his appearance at download and Manson goes “you said ‘Load’ and ‘Down’” trying to make some sexual inuenndo.

Listen, it’s well worth it for the comedy alone

Re: Marilyn Manson in Other Bands & Artists

Dammit Gav I just logged on to post a link to that

I’m no fan of him as such but that interview is pretty funny

the other two had at least a few quality tracks. just got tickets today and i’m really looking forward to it. skin’s voice and energy is absolutely stunning.

@ dan: listen to “selling jesus” or “intellectualize my blackness” and think again! :-)

Agreed - they’re all brilliant musicians in my opinion, Cass, Ace, Skin & Mark (who now for some reason decides to play with Feeder) and I don’t know where you get this idea of ‘average’ from

Re: chris cornell - new album “scream” in Other Bands & Artists

Yeah he does know how to shred a guitar - mucho respect, shame he hasn’t done anything else other than ‘age badly’ since

Re: chris cornell - new album “scream” in Other Bands & Artists

It doesn’t even sound like ‘Tad Doyle’ had heard the songs before FFS

He’ll get bottled

Re: skunk anansie in Other Bands & Artists

Woooow that is so weird, I was only thinking yesterday that I wished they’d get back together (and follow suite as everyone else is these days) as they were an amazing band and gave up far too early.

I hope they add more dates as well!

Where did you hear about this????

That song is terrible - he looks like a right knob in those Timberland style boots as well

Re: chris cornell - new album “scream” in Other Bands & Artists

Man this lack of edit functionality pisses me off, it should read ‘he looks like a right knob in those knee high Timberland style boots’

Re: Faith No More in Other Bands & Artists

Ripped from wiki:

Mosely was fired in 1988 due to his erratic behavior during sessions and at shows and the release party for the album Introduce Yourself. He was replaced with singer Mike Patton. Patton, who was singing with his high school band, Mr. Bungle, was recruited at Martin’s suggestion after he heard a demo of Mr. Bungle’s long-over death metal days. Patton dropped out of Humboldt State University to join Faith No More, and in two weeks, had written all the lyrics for the songs that would make up the Grammy award-nominated The Real Thing.
