Re: Lost… in Chit-Chat
Ahh you see, I leave typing away on message boards till I’m at work :)
Thats fair enough to . I don’t see any problem with taking something serious if you like it though, there are obviously extremes but Butters is defending a program which he likes, and I for one agree with him

Re: Lost… in Chit-Chat
Completely - the program never tried to be anything but fictional.
The opening scene to the pilot was one of the lead characters lying in the jungle, with a few scratches on him - he’d just been thrown from a 747 plain that had crash landed - the show has always portrayed an element of mystery that have been ascribed to science fiction or supernatural phenomena from the get go - logical explanantion??? Are you sure you weren’t watching Desperate Housewives?

Re: Lost… in Chit-Chat
Hang on a minute, he’s not mentioning Dallas or any other gay fucking show - he merely said that the creators of lost had a game plan which thy write the story around - what’s so hard to beleive about that?

Re: Lost… in Chit-Chat
I have to agree with butters I’m afraid - the ideas were thought out to begin with by the creators, they may have changed slightly but I think the origonal concept and idea still remains
I’ve been a fan from the start and every episode is cleverly though out and there are always so may little things, such as songs that are playing to books people are reading and the way that everyones lives seems to have crossed before they go to the island.

Couldn’t agree more mate - it’s my fav album, most underrated one they did imo.
If you play guitar try learning ‘Like I Care’ for a tricky riff.
Shame there’s no uk dates, I hope that’ll change as Helmet are one band I’d like to see live again soon

Re: The end for Velvet Revolver in Other Bands & Artists
Yeah I quite liked stone temple pilots, I think Scott’s voice suited their style a little more.
I was a fan of VR for their first album, I liked the single from the ast one but as a whole album I thougt it was quite weak

I couldn’t agree more, she’s always so ‘Star Struck’ when she meets any band on her show, oh my god you so amazing - fuck you Jo and the shitty bands you rate cos they are boring

Re: T? album release date?? in General Therapy? Topics
The last time I saw the band was at Novarock and they were the tightest I’ve ever seen them, with Neil, and as a three piece.
I have to say though, 9 months to release the next album is pretty shit.

To be fair they’re tight and have a good sound, and Michaels right they do put a smile on your face. Not my cup of tea though - I hope you won’t be burning your collection Dennis

Re: Am I being too critical? in General Therapy? Topics
I think Michael, more than any of us, knows how hard it is to get by in the Music Industry today. Sure the Internet (MySpace etc) can help build a fan base and spread your music but without the backing of a major label it’s hard to make end meet and pay all the band members a wage they can live comfortably off.
Michael’s seen an opportunity here to help a band ‘make it’, the fact he’s putting his experience forward and judging the entries is a good thing I think. There are far too many shows that make celebrities of individuals and forget that there are bands out there that produce music as a whole, and are probably working really hard to do so.
I’m not saying that I enjoy these shows that make stars out of people, but f there has to be one I’d rather it helped bands that actually play instruments – fair play to Michael for helping some of these bands to have a chance of making something
