Am going to both Exodus and Unholy Alliance as well - what a week this has been.

Sitting in the office feeling very fragile…

AAWWWW!!!! FUCK…

Looks like I might not make it to Exodus after all… :(

But still going to Unholy Alliance. :D

And did we meet Jobrok? I wasn´t that drunk (at least I think so:)) but there was many folks I had chat with, with my “excellent” english so I don´t remember everything…

Yeah! We were talking for a while in the Foggy Dew about an hour before the gig.
I was there with the tall skinny fella. A really long “6foot 6inch” streak of piss by the name of Marty.

It was a bit wierd alright. Putting faces to a lot of the WOM heads… But a good kinda wierd. ;)

Vader tonight, can’t wait…

Can’t afford to make another trip up to Dublin the same week as MOTORHEAD/THERAPY? and SLAYER. :(

At least I’m going to take in EXODUS on Saturday night before SLAYER on Sunday… :D

Yup! No argument there. ;)

Soul Doubt… It’s a pity we missed each other. I didn’t get into the Foggy Dew until late and was told you were gone.

All I can say is fair play to you for coming all that way to see T?. That’s real fan commitment.
And Kossu also! You guys should get a medal or something. ;)

Actually! The quality isn’t that bad at all.

You just need to give it time to load fully. :)

Just reading what they are saying on that site…half of them have decided they don’t like them before they have even heard them and refuse to even give them a chance…what kind of comment is “don’t like them Andy does too much eye brow lifting” or somthing??… fuck em it’s there loss.

I wouldn’t worry to much about what they are saying about T?. Like you said! They weren’t going to give them a chance to begin with, so it’s their loss.
Most of the people on that forum are PURE METAL all the way.

From where I was during the show, everyone was having a good time during T?’s set.

Re: Therapy? confirmed as Motorhead support in Therapy? Live

Looks like our beloved trio are taking a bit of a bashing on METALIRELAND.COM from all the Irish die-hard metallers. :(

But not to worry, folks…

Kobmosh and myself are keeping the T? flag flying high. ;)

HHAAAAhhaaaaa!!!! :D

That rickshaw was the business.

And we still didn’t make it to the feckin’ Nightlink.
It was well gone by the time we got down to the bus stop.

Oh yeah, nice running into some of you guys yesterday - cool to put (screen)names to faces.

Yeah! It was pretty cool to finally meet some WOM heads up close and personnal. My buddy and I had a good laugh with Judged all night! Went to Bruxelles afterwards. Ci? and her boyfriend were there also. Loads of drunken sing-alongs to Maiden and Dio and the likes. Good drunken fun…!!!
We tried to rob a 6 foot Unholy Alliance poster as we were leaving, but the bouncers caught us.

Got to shake Mickey Dee’s hand before we left too! Which was pretty cool. He was the closest thing to Animal from the Muppets that I’ve ever seen.

Re: Therapy? confirmed as Motorhead support in Therapy? Live

Just got back to Cork a couple of hours ago. Back at work for 1:30. Not too bad. Only 5 hours to do today.

Gig was fantastic. T? were well on form. Rust, Rock You Monkeys and Innocent X were my fav tunes from the set.
And how funny was it to hear Andy shout the word CUNT 4 or 5 times while ranting on about Phil Lynnots bass being whipped.

MOTORHEAD were just huge…!!!! Absolutely killer.
About half way through the set Lemmy asked if we wanted it “LOUDER?”. Naturally everyone said YEAH! And I swear to the God of Rock’N’Roll, they actually did turn the volume up.
The last half hour was incredible. The place went into over-drive.

Great sets! Great bands! Great fuckin’ time had by all! :D

Can’t wait for tomorrow night…!!!!! :D

Re: Therapy? confirmed as Motorhead support in Therapy? Live

My flight from Cork doesn’t get in until after 6:00pm. Wish I’d known about the HMV set before booking the flight. I’d have booked it for earlier in the day.

So is everyone still heading to the “FOGGY DEW” before the gig? Might bumb into a few other WoMbles that night. Don’t really know how this will work though, as I have no idea what any of you look like…

The Caribbean…!!!!!

Ya Bollix!!! :(

Been there a couple of times. Jamaica and the Dominican Republic. Absolutely brilliant part of the world.

I’d ditch a few gigs for a trip back there, too.

I will go as myself - that should be scary enough :D

Man, that week is going to be a killer, going to see Therapy/Motorhead, Vader, Exodus and on Sunday the Unholy Alliance. Might go and see Opeth also.

Dublin Rock City!!!

Vader is on Thursday, so I’ll have to miss that one. Working and living in Cork.

Got my ticket for The Unholy Alliance and I am really hoping to make it to Exodus on Saturday also! I’ve been listening to the 2 latest albums a lot recently! Brilliant stuff. Not a weak track in either of them.

Opeth I’ll probably give a miss. I just can’t afford another weekend up to Dublin. Anyways! Went to see them a couple of months ago. Brilliant gig with Primordial supporting. Although I would love to see Paradise Lost again. It’s been a few years since I last saw them. :(

Re: Therapy? confirmed as Motorhead support in Therapy? Live

The Foggy Dew it is then.

Makes sense if it’s only around the corner.

Looking forward to this one. In all me days on these forums, I’ve only ever met one other WoMble.

Plus! It will be nice to meet the lucky sod who bought my “30 Seconds…” demo… ;)

So are we having a get-together for this gig? Or what?
Where’s everyong going before hand.

I’ll be landing in around 17:30. Bus straight in to town.
BEER! BEER! BEER!…

Oh! So you’ve seen the AIRHEADS movie then…!!! ;)

That’s a funny movie. I really enjoyed Steve Buschimi(spelling) in it. And Adam Sandler before he became America’s favourite comedy golden boy.

Answer : LEMMY IS GOD! :D

Nov. 04 ; EXODUS

Nov. 05 ; SLAYER / LAMB OF GOD / IN FLAMES / CHILDREN OF BODOM

The Foggy Dew also? (not from dublin. don’t have a clue)
Or Bruxelles maybe?

Re: Therapy? confirmed as Motorhead support in Therapy? Live

Just glad they didn’t change the date. That would have fucked me up altogether.

The Olympia should be a good venue for it.
And it’s easier to get to than the Point.

Re: Therapy? confirmed as Motorhead support in Therapy? Live

I love OVERKILL…

Even after listening to it for the millionth time, I keep expecting it to just never end. For Lemmy to start the bass line again and just keep it going…

Re: Therapy? confirmed as Motorhead support in Therapy? Live

EXODUS were supposed to be playing on the Saturday, but it looks like it will be on Friday now.
Saturday would have been fantastic. EXODUS with Paul Bostaph on drums,… Then SLAYER and the UNHOLY ALLIANCE line-up on Sunday. I’d have made a 2 nighter out of it.

I just pee’d a little even thinking about it.

It’s mentioned on http://WWW.DUBLINMETALEVENTS.COM but the date is to be confirmed.

I first heard about it on the forums pages on http://WWW.METALIRELAND.COM
The promoter who organises a lot of metal gigs in Dublin posts there regularly. He originally said it will be on Saturday, but then said it has changed to Friday.

Re: Therapy? confirmed as Motorhead support in Therapy? Live

Plus! VADER and EXODUS are playing shows on the Thursday and Friday between MOTORHEAD and SLAYER.

Finally! This country is starting to wake up to the Metal scene. It’s just a pity they’re nearly always only in Dublin and 9 times out of 10 they are on weeknights.

I guess I’ll just have to move to Dublin… hahahhaa!
Now that’s commitment for you :D

Re: Therapy? confirmed as Motorhead support in Therapy? Live

I’m going to the UNHOLY ALLIANCE TOUR the weekend after MOTORHEAD and THERAPY? But I can’t be arsed driving up to Dublin from Cork, twice in the same week.

So I booked a flight for 4:40pm on Halloween and returning 11:30am the next day. Works out pretty good too. Only miss 4 hours of work.

I can’t fucking wait for that week.
THERAPY?, MOTORHEAD, SLAYER, LAMB OF GOD, IN FLAMES, CHILDREN OF BODOM.

Sweet! Sweet! METALLLL…

Re: What is a nice Cover for the next Tour…!! in Therapy? Live

I recently saw CRAZY HORSES by “The Osmonds” on VH1.

Eventually I stopped laughing at how ridiculous they all looked in their shiny flared pants, 5 inch platform shoes and shirt collars that would put a B-52 Bomber to shame.
And thought to myself that it would be a killer song for T? to cover.

If they can make ABBA’s GIMME… sound cool, they can definitely pull this Osmonds track off!

Re: T? on Guns ‘N’ Roses Linup at Download Ireland in Therapy? Live

I’ve seen METALLICA the last 2 times they were here. First gig was excellent. But the second one was a bit of a let-down.

Not really interested in checking out Axl Rose Band. Would love to see T?, but the rest of the line-up, so far, doesn’t really appeal to me.

Plus! OPETH are playing in Dublin on the 12th. And I really want to see them live. So I think that’s the one for me. Especially since I’m travelling from Cork. To go up and down to Dublin twice in one weekend would be a bit much.

But who knows! I might get a fit and go anyway!
So how much are the tickets?

Re: Guns n roses RDS dublin in Therapy? Live

Apparently MOTLEY CRUE are special guests for this gig.

Unless I’ve heard wrong.

Re: Cork… Savoy Re-opening!!! in Therapy? Live

9 appeals…!!!! Wow!

It’s a shame really. It’s a fantastic live venue.

No offence Cyprus. Your place is great too.
But the stage in the Savoy is huge. And the floor space is very big also.

I would love to see it re-open…

Cork… Savoy Re-opening!!! in Therapy? Live

Title: Cork… Savoy Re-opening!!!

I heard recently that the SAVOY was re-opening.

Have any other Corkonians heard about this…????

If it’s true! Then there will finally be a decent venue for THERAPY? play next time they come here…

Which better be soon…!!!!
