Hey! All…

Just wanted to let everyone know that my twin girls were born last month. 19th Sept.

They were 2 months premature, but are doing really well now.

Kate was 3lbs 9oz (1.64kgs). And Abbie was 2lbs 2oz (0.96kgs).
Pretty small but they’re tough as old boots, the pair of ‘em.

We have had Kate home for the last 2 weeks. She’s doing great. She’s nearly doubled in weight already.
Abbie is still in hospital. She needs surgery on her heart. It’s a pretty routine procedure, they just need her to gain some weight before they can operate on her. We’ll hopefully have her home in about a month to 6 weeks.

Watched a trailer last night for a remake of THE HITCHER.

The original is a great movie. One of my favs. I really hope they don’t butcher it.

They’re already off to a bad start with SEAN BEAN playing the role of THE HITCHER.

Paula Hogan of MANIC Music & Distribution and Candlelight Records USA has contacted BLABBERMOUTH.NET to report that “eBay is [allegedly] currently starting a ban on black/extreme metal. A few of our vendors who have sizeable eBay stores are now finding their items pulled down by eBay directly. The list we have compiled so far that have been pulled for sale via any eBay stores or auctions is noted below. I’m sure there are more.”

Added Dan Ferguson of Indianapolis, IN’s Abyss Records: “I had a number of items removed and account suspended by selling black metal. It seems a group of so-called Christians have been reporting black metal bands (even though eBay has black metal as a search genre) as all racist and hateful and discriminatory.”

The items that were allegedly removed by eBay because they “violated the eBay Hateful or Discriminatory policy” are as follows:

Yeah! I’ve watched this the last couple of weeks.
Its mildly interesting.

Seb Bach is a complete pratt alright.
But what a killer voice when he gets going.

Nugent makes me laugh.
He’s so far up his own arse, its hilarious.

Gilby Clark and Jason Newsted are the other band members.

Could make an alright band, but the singers they have lined up are awful.

And all the songs they have them singing are pretty bland for the most part.

I don’t rip DVD’s THAT much. And even then it’s only if I really like a movie and I just load them to my PC so I can watch it a few more times.

Then it has to be cleared regularly as they take up so much HD space.

Title: DVD ripping/copying

Can anyone recommend a DVD ripping software.

I already used “DVDshrink” with “DVDdecrypter” and “Nero”, but lately some of the newer DVD’s with new encryptions on them just cannot be decrypted with these.

I found a program called “DVDFabDecryter” which will decrypt some of the newer DVD’s that “DVDdecrypter” cannot crack, but not all of them.

The DVD’s I’ve found to be the most difficult to rip are movies released by SONY with a red coloured dye.

Any suggestions…?????

I bought the “OFFICIAL BOOTLEG” video from the Devin townsend website a few years ago. When I got it there was a problem with the sound so I sent it back. To make up for the mistake they sent out a new copy with the cover signed by all the members of STRAPPING YOUNG LAD.
Plus! Every Xmas I get a HevyDevy Records Xmas card SIgned by Devin Townsend himself.

“CRADLE OF FEAR” on video signed by Dani Filth and the director Alex Chandon.

CROWBAR’s “LIFESBLOOD FOR THE DOWNTRODDEN” CD signed by Kirk Weinstein when they toured with Hatebreed a couple of years ago.

Spent all morning looking into it.
Website! Email! Finally got a reply about an hour ago by phone, and they said that it is only from today on.

They are expecting a massive response to this grant, and expect a huge increase in these systems for the future. The budget is limited so they had to draw the line and are making it only available to applications from today on.

Also! To be eligable for the grant, you can only use products/installers/suppliers from an approved list. Any company who wants to be added to the list needs to register first.
And the application has to be pre-approved, before you install and commision the system.

We just finished our new house in the last few weeks. Moved in last Friday. When we were planning the design of the house we decided to have a Solar Water Heating System installed which is something I am really excited about having. We also pushed the boat out money wise and have bought a micro wind turbine which will generate most of our electricity needs. A high capital cost, I know. But these systems should, if managed properly, save us a huge amount of money down the line.

A new Government grant scheme has started today, for housing developments that use renewable energy systems instead of conventional fossil fuel systems.

A great idea. It’s about time. Nearly every other country in the EU has had something similar in place for years already.

With the system I have installed I would be eligable for a grant of up to €4000.

Except for one problem. It only applies from today on.

What a f****ng kick in the teeth.
