Re: T? Stories in General Therapy? Topics
I’m sure Therapy? didn’t want me to sleep in their tourbus all night…

As did my little sis who had to help me to a taxi! Ah well, I’m sure the t? lads have done worse in their time :)

Re: T? Stories in General Therapy? Topics
I was so drunk on t?’s tourbus that I fell asleep…then woke up and vomited. Pretty embarrassing, but maybe worth it for the memory of Neil mopping up a puddle of my beery sick.

No, I really wasn’t sure. It could have been both to be honest, as you’re both annoying and dense…

Could you really not make an educated guess as to what this meant, or were you just being annoyingly pedantic?

Re: Troublegum wins Guardian award for worst album covers in General Therapy? Topics
A very prompt but unhelpful response from The Guardian just arrived:
Thank you for your message.
The woman depicted on the front cover is not vomiting into the bin; the article concerns ‘Freegans’, or people who plunder supermarkets bins for unspoiled food. The woman on the front cover is looking for food.
The headline accompanying the picture is ‘Your dinner’s in the bin. Foraging for townies? Alex Renton lifts the lid or Freeganism’.
If you no longer have access to the article, it can be read on the website:
http://observer.guardian.co.uk/foodmonthly/story/0,,2149141,00.html
I hope this helps. However, if you wish to make a formal complaint, please contact the Observer’s Readers’ Editor. Information and contact details are provided below:

RE: The Observer Food Monthly cover, August 2007
Dear Sir or Madam,
Unfortunately I’m writing to complain about the above mentioned cover, in which a woman appears to be vomiting into a bin.
It might be argued that a woman in a short skirt and high heels throwing up in a dustbin is the perfect visual accompaniment to such an unpleasant read as The Observer, but one has to call into question any artist’s motive for making a magazine cover so horrid to look at. If nothing else, imagine proudly taking the Food Monthly supplement round to your mum’s house on a Sunday afternoon. “I think I’ll just put this in the drawer, dear …”
I’m sure I’m not the only person to have been disturbed by such imagery. Was it perhaps your intention to send your readers into therapy?
I look forward to hearing your thoughts,
Yours faithfully,
Mr S xxxxxxx

We should email this to them:

Neil, how many times have you had to mop someone’s sick up, since that time I chundered on your tourbus?

Re: Anyone else been gipped over the signed webgig cover? in General Therapy? Topics
Did you actually contact the site to check whether your cover had been sent? Because I doubt very much that anyone associated with this site has deliberately tried to “gip”, “rip off”, or indeed, “shaft” you.

Re: Troublegum wins Guardian award for worst album covers in General Therapy? Topics
Absolutely…Shortsharpshock EP was great too!
Taste in art is so subjective but I’m just unable to picture the band being presented with some of the album artwork (the HA or OCFA cover for example) and triumphantly shouting, “Yes! That exactly represents what we’re about!”
Would be great to hear some “stories behind the artwork” from Andy!

Re: Troublegum wins Guardian award for worst album covers in General Therapy? Topics
Can’t disagree with the above. Found most of T?’s artwork fucking horrible.
High Anxiety I thought particularly shite. If I was a casual observer I’d probably think those blokes were the band…or was that their intention?

Alexis Petridis is a really good reviewer for The Guardian, I always enjoy reading his stuff. Apparently he contributed as the writers’ names are next to the last photo.
