Re: Siouxsie in Other Bands & Artists

Yep, he looks ridiculous alright. Not as bad as some of the others, mind you.

Re: Soundtrack To Your Funeral in Other Bands & Artists

Paradise Lost - “Deus Misereatur”. That’d cheer people up ;)

Re: wanna put yourself to the test? in Chit-Chat

I did this!

I was an Artist and my girlfriend and I were 84% compatible.

She and my best (male) mate were 100%!!!

Aaaaaaaagh! ;)

Re: Ozzfest in General Therapy? Topics

Ozzy didn’t play at his own ‘kin festival?

Lazy old bugger.

Hello Paranoid Pumpkin.

I too am new.

What are you paranoid about? It’s ages ‘til Halloween ;)

I guess I’ll have to share one of my experiences. I haven’t had a decent hangover in quite a while now (expect yesterday I had a splitting headache because of too many Vodka Russians and cigarettes). But nothing spectacular.

Nice story man, really nice ;)

Re: Worst Therapy? Songs in General Therapy? Topics

I’m not too keen on their more ‘upbeat’ numbers. So Church of Noise or Loose get my vote.

Re: what is the perfect Therapy? song? in General Therapy? Topics

Probably Screamager

Re: what other bands/music do you listen to? in Other Bands & Artists

I have to say, I’m impressed by everybody’s wide ranging musical tastes in here.

Re: Come on, Therapy? should just do the decent thing in General Therapy? Topics

“Shameless” got me back into Therapy? after a few years abscence (since Semi-Detached, in fact).

I think it’s a brilliant album. Listened to it for 2 weeks non-stop when I first got it.

Re: Paradise Lost? in Other Bands & Artists

Emperor - Yep, love ‘em. I don’t listen to any other really heavy stuff apart from them, but they really stand out in the genre. “In the Nightside Eclipse” is one of the most atmospheric albums I’ve ever heard.

Impressive, Jobrok :)

MDB are pretty good live too.

Re: Greetings in New Members (Introduce Yourself)

Hi Alan

I have to say I prefer older Therapy?, “Infernal Love” being my favourite album. Favourite song is “Screamager”, I have good memories of that one from when I was an angst-ridden adolescent ;)

Re: Paradise Lost? in Other Bands & Artists

Cool! Not that I’m trying to poach members from this board, but you should come over to the PL board sometime. Everyone gets a friendly hello ;) At first, anyway :D

Anathema? The albums in between the two you mentioned are definitely their best - “Alternative 4” (1998) and “Judgement” (2000).

Paradise Lost? in Other Bands & Artists

Title: Paradise Lost?

I’m curious how many goth/rock/metallers are in here? I like a bit of that stuff, particularly Paradise Lost (I’m a regular on their message board).

So, what do you think? Like the heavier stuff? Loathe it?

My favourites in the genre are PL, My Dying Bride, Anathema, and Katatonia.

For the record, I mainly like electro/rock type stuff (NIN, Sneaker Pimps, Muse, Radiohead, Curve, New Order, Depeche Mode) as well as electronica like Orbital, Leftfield, Portishead etc.

Cheers

Glactinbury!? Hah!

I’ve seen them live too, they were pretty good. Not heard their new stuff though.

Re: Greetings in New Members (Introduce Yourself)

Well, thanks to all one of you who said hello.

I guess this isn’t the friendliest message board on the net!

Re: your job - pros and cons in Chit-Chat

Unemployment:

the pros: I get to lie in every morning and stay up late, drinking.

the cons: I’ve got no money, I get quite bored and a bit frustrated, and I have to go to the Job Centre quite regularly, which is never a pleasant experience.

Re: The first record you’ve bought in Other Bands & Artists

The soundtrack to that gangster film with Warren Beaty (the name escapes me), by Madonna.

I was too young to appreciate “Hanky Panky” however

Re: Greetings in New Members (Introduce Yourself)

Tell me about it, I was narked to say the least. It was the worst festival I’ve ever been to, in fact.

Anyway, cheers for the greets!

This is true! If I ever have a small child I’ll be sure to view it with suspicion, the cynical little bugger

I haven’t met many cynical toddlers

Re: you definition of real, true, deep love? in Chit-Chat

I’m a bit cynical about love and I’m “only” 24. Does this normally happen at my age?

Greetings in New Members (Introduce Yourself)

Title: Greetings

Hello, I’m one of those annoying newbies that occasionally pops up on message boards like this. But at least I posted in the right place.

I was a Therapy? fan for years but lost them after Infernal Love, just got back into them with Shameless.

And I went to the Essential Festival in Bristol specifically to see them the w/e before last. I wasn’t too chuffed that day I can tell you!
