Re: Damnation Festival in Other Bands & Artists
Cheers, only a fellow metal collector would describe it as “sexy shit” :D

This Nick Cave appreciation thread has quickly turned into a mock Nick Cave thread

Re: Damnation Festival in Other Bands & Artists
My Mum once saw the Reek Of Putrefaction cover and was quite understandably disgusted by it.
I collect Carcass stuff and I made a very geeky website about it: http://www.necroticism.com

Doesn’t your Mum want to come and see a bit of Incarnated Solvent Abuse then?

I was gonna stop over - but its my Brothers birthday (and its the day after my 30th Birthday) - neither of us wanted to drive… he wants to go to his girlfriends after the gig so he has been sweet talking my mum… My house is half way between Leeds and his so I can probably bag a lift back too!
No need to explain…getting picked up by your Mum is the new rock n roll

Re: Down live - any good? in Other Bands & Artists
They wouldn’t let me in with my camcorder…or my wallet chain or my fucking little umbrella! Managed to not find my weed though which was actually in the wallet they insisted I detach the chain from :) Good show, Phil is in much better shape than when I saw him 10 years ago. Bury Me In Smoke was heavy as fuck.

Re: Damnation Festival in Other Bands & Artists
It’s going to be ace seeing Carcass in a hall rather than at an outdoor festival.
My folks live in Leeds so I’m combining the gig with visiting them. Aww - Gav’s Mum’s picking him up and I’m staying at my Mum’s :D

Kirk suited the eyeliner but Lars looked like a right tit.

Re: Down live - any good? in Other Bands & Artists
Jail and Stone The Crow are my 2 favourite songs so I was definitely going to do them. Need to find a recent setlist so I know when to start filming :)

Any Down video requests? Might film a few songs tomorrow if I can get my camcorder in again.

Re: Metallica in Other Bands & Artists
What do you think was their worst look? I go for either their spotty early look or the mullets and perm of the Metallica era (I dislike the Black Album or TBA bollocks too KJC Dublin)

Re: WOMble Fantasy Football League 08/09 in Chit-Chat
I think you could safely rule out winning any money…unless the WoMble team had quite a few substitutes :)

Re: This messageboard has a lot to answer for… in Chit-Chat
The latter:
1st conditional is for possible future events “If I win at pool tomorrow I’ll mock my opponent viciously.” (present simple + will)
2nd conditional is for hypothetical and impossible future events: “If I drank alcohol I would be as pissed as mrs h.” (past simple + would)
3rd conditional is for past hypothetical events: “If I hadn’t wanted to show off my grammar skills, I wouldn’t have bothered typing this reply:” (past perfect + would + present perfect)
€25 please :p

Me too…some of their stuff does drag but they are a quality band and it must be 10 years since I’ve seen them

What exactly is that tense, Sam? It’s a sort of weirdy past future conditional thing that I can’t figure out. And what does “pluperfect” mean?
“If it had been a penis, can you imagine the size it would have been when he was born?” would have sounded better, and that’s the 3rd conditional.
Trust you to spoil Gav and Jess’s good news thread with grammar questions

Yeah - it’s the same with 9/11…which is more incredible, the offical story or the conspiracy theory? I know which one I think is more credible.

If it had been a penis, can you imagine the size of his old chap when he was born?!
