How I wish that sentence didn’t contain a “nearly”… ;)

You seem to be more bothered about not being able to drive than the fact you could have killed someone.
If it was up to me you wouldn’t even be allowed to own a bicycle.

I think there’s a bloke (he’s in the Guinness Book of World Records) who’s had continuous hiccups for decades.
I’m guessing that’s not really what you want to hear, however! :o

Re: Ministry - House Of The Mole in Other Bands & Artists
Went out and bought it, pretty darn good. “No W” is class, with the sample from the music off the old Old Spice aftershave adverts!

You know how it’s said that a homophobic is actually struggling to repress and deny the fact they might be gay? I’m seeing a similar thing here… ;)

National variations on the Chav/Scallie/Townie in Chit-Chat
Title: National variations on the Chav/Scallie/Townie
In light of JSar666’s revelation that Norway remains free of the breed of badly dressed, loutish scum we in Britain know and hate as chavs/scallies/townies/Kappa Slappas, I’m curious to find out whether any other countries are unfortunate enough to have them?
A rough guide to chavs can be found here:

Cool, glad to hear the absence of Mr Barker and Mr Brownstone didn’t affect the recording process :)

Re: Ministry - House Of The Mole in Other Bands & Artists
I’ll drag this one back from the depths…to get some more confirmation that their new album’s pretty good?
I’ve just been listening to my old Ministry CDs, dunno why they’d been in a box in my cupboard for so long, to be honest. Land of Rape and Honey is class, way ahead of its time…

Mercury Music Prize Nominations in Chit-Chat
Title: Mercury Music Prize Nominations
Surprise surprise! Keane, Belle and Sebastian, and Snow Patrol (three bands I’ll have summarily executed when I’m King) have been nominated, as well as US-influenced rubbish like Joss Stone and Amy Winehouse.
I hope Franz Ferdinand win it, though I’m getting slightly annoyed by the hysteria surrounding them, considering the fact they’ve only done one album…

Re: Top Ten Rock Albums. in Other Bands & Artists
Come on people, let’s not allow the US to dominate this top ten!
Iron Maiden’s debut has got to be in there somewhere! Led Zep too.

Next time I’m at a wedding reception/works Xmas do/family birthday party and that bloody awful “Lady In Red” song comes on, I intend to re-enact the alien stomach-bursting scene.

He’s a good drummer and all, but he doesn’t really fit into the NIN vibe, does he?

Re: The Almighty in Other Bands & Artists
I dunno if Rick’s still married to Vanessa. I do know, however, that I used to think she was something of a rock fox.
A quick search of the net informed me that Rick’s now a solo artist, and big chums with Joe “Def Leppard” Elliot - who produces his records.
Which was enough to make me chuck my copy of Powertrippin’ back in the cupboard from whence it came.

Gary Oldman and Donald Sutherland starring in those bloody awful Barclays adverts. I’ve lost all respect I had for them.

So guys and gals, how would we feel about a Morrissey/Marr reunion?
I’d like to see it happen, thought the last interview I read with him he was going on about being a huge fan of loads of weirdy beardy folk guitarists from the 70s
