Re: Hai in New Members (Introduce Yourself)
Well said that man! I mean c’mon, “What if I send them an email and just ask if they can put on me the list?” You should be BANNED from their next gig Rathype!

Re: what was the last gig you went to? in Chit-Chat
Last gig I saw was a Czech AC/DC tribute band (in the Czech Republic), it was hilarious. The audience were nutters :p

Actually, ‘hai’ means yes in Japanese. Alternatively, it means ‘hello’ in Dutch.
So what do I do if I meet a half Japanese, half-Dutch person? I could get into a whole load of bother… :)

Hooch, The Darkness fucking rule!
I’m still gonna try and make it up for Leeds. I’ve just been sat here fondly reminiscing about Belfast. Was a truly top quality night or what?!

You’re just too boring ;)
By the way, is “Hai” a Japanese greeting?

Look forward to hearing the tribute album.
n.b. Jerry’s album is called “Boggy Depot” ;)

Re: the cure: bloodflowers in Other Bands & Artists
Yeah, the songs on Bloodflowers are too long IMO. Nothing can top Pornography - the most miserable album EVER!

Re: Europe is back!!! in Other Bands & Artists
If they gig here I shall carry a sign bearing the legend, “5, 4, 3, 2, 1…bang!”
Naturally, I shall be carrying a gun.

sorry, but can’t agree. Would is a great song, but as a whole they’re boring.
I think they brought a real depressive mood into grunge and live they seemed to be, at least in my ears, to be a bad Cult clone.
Grunge WAS essentially depressive in mood!

Alice In Chains in Other Bands & Artists
Title: Alice In Chains
What a great band, and what a classic “Dirt” is. What a shame Layne wasted his talent :(

Re: yo yo yo in New Members (Introduce Yourself)
I’m from Leeds, but I now live in Bristol. It’s quite similar to Leeds, but I think there are probably more shootings here.

Re: arnie’s, ahem, “victory”… in Chit-Chat
Leave, and live somewhere sane. Like Switzerland or Australia. That’s where I’m heading.

I’d line ‘em all up head to head, take a very high caliber revolver and…bang!

Heh, interesting indeed. I particularly like the bit where Richey and Blaze fall out, and when Tony passes out drunk :p

Re: Hello there! in New Members (Introduce Yourself)
Heh heh. I’ve been to the Eclipse but it’s a little too \m/ for my tastes ;) I usually go to Ramshackle at the Academy on a Friday, that’s pretty good. Better than Moles, put it that way ;)

Re: o hurrah in Chit-Chat
Greetings! My travels were excellent, cheers. I had a fantastic time, and managed to consume about a thousand gallons of booze along the way ;)
The reason I didn’t meet you and Tatty was because I spent literally a few hours in Austria, whilst passing through Vienna! Time was short, money was running out, and most of my time was spent in Slovakia and the Czech Republic, where the beer was cheaper ;) But one day we shall meet!
Right, I’d better shut up, as this thread isn’t supposed to be about me

Suede’s best IMO, I like it a lot.
I’m sick of them now, though.

Title: Muse’s “Absolution” (second merged thread)
Bugger me with a fishfork if this album doesn’t rock big-style.
It’s totally and amusingly over-the-top, but the best thing I’ve heard in a long while. Anyone else?
