Re: Iron Maiden in Other Bands & Artists

I’m a steak kind of man. I just got Live After Death, A Real Live Dead One and Live at Donington, a real Dickinson-celebration. I guess it’s not a wonder they didn’t release Blaze-era live albums, but I would have liked to listen to one.

Re: What’s the weirdest place you found your… in Chit-Chat

Our cat somehow learned to knock on the door. He was out in the yard and in time figured out how to do it by himself, no one ever thought that we could teach the cat something like this. We don’t have a doorbell, just a metal knocker that you lift and it makes a loud enough sound. I was a bit amazed the first time I went to open the door and only one in there was the cat.

Re: NANE: What’s With The Animal References?? in General Therapy? Topics

Hmm, I hadn’t noticed it either but now that you mention it, it’s pretty clear. It’s not just Animal Bones anymore now is it?

Re: martin in General Therapy? Topics

Quote (author unknown):

Personally I’d love to hear Bruce sing the Clansman

They played the song when they were in Finland on “Give Me Ed… Till I’m Dead” tour and Bruce sounded amazing.

Back to the topic, I have no reason to suspect Martin not telling the truth. It can get personal when people leave a band but I’m not sure if that’s the case here. Anyway, best of luck to Mr. McCarrick.

Re: Dublin Baby!!!!!!!!! in Therapy? Live

Oh yeah, just got my ticket and I’m looking forward to my first visit to Dublin (not counting the brief stop at the airport). Damn shame the Cork concert didn’t come through but that’s ok. Gonna rock like there’s no tomorrow.

Re: Dillinger escape plan in Other Bands & Artists

Dammit. I missed them a few weeks ago at Provinssirock festival and now after reading this I regret not seeing their show. Although being targeted by flying feces isn’t really my cup of tea but still. I did get a glimpse of them as I was on my way as I had road manager duties and it sparked an interest but now I wish I’d stayed there.

Re: best 3 piece bands in Other Bands & Artists

And Green Day? :D

Beastie Boys are a trio as well but they have at least Mixmaster Mike with them.

Re: Good, good year for Rock n Roll! in Other Bands & Artists

And, of course, Iron Maiden are likely to release a new studio album this year. These are interesting times.

Re: New Song Titles in General Therapy? Topics

If the songs are half as good as some song titles mentioned here (my favourite is of course the tongue-in-cheek satanism of Hey Satan, You Rock) they’re pretty damn good.

Re: Yes, another new person in New Members (Introduce Yourself)

Since there’s no forum for farewells I’ll try this one. Yes, my dear young lover, this is just to say I’m gone. No, it’s not that I couldn’t face your face the morning after but it’s just that I won’t using the Internet for a while. I’ve left my current job and looking for a new one and I don’t know when I’m on the ‘net the next time. It might take a couple of months or so. Who knows? I mean seriously, if someone knows please tell me.

I haven’t been here for a long time so I don’t think I broke any hearts. Anyway I’ll turn 24 next Sunday and I’ve made a promise that my 25th year in this world will be devoted to heavy metal. So, until the next time, let’s born to rock. Love to all.

Re: <title deleted by moderator> in Chit-Chat

Your money is looose and I think this guy might be going down. As Don Cleveland in the all-powerful movie ‘The Adventures of Ford Fairlane’ said it, “This shit is getting old, man.”

Re: any Khaled and / or Faudel - Fans here? in Other Bands & Artists

Interesting. I don’t know Faudel and actually I don’t own any Khaled records, probably since they’re not easy to find here. The show back in 2000 was terrific. You can probably guess that rai isn’t all too popular up here in the North corners of the world so it’s hard to find like-minded people. But whenever I get a chance to buy a record or see a show, I take it.

Thanks sunshine for the email address but I’m sorry I’ll be away from the ‘net for a while since I’m between jobs and all that so I don’t think I’ll be writing anyone anything anytime soon.

Re: <title deleted by moderator> in Chit-Chat

I don’t know, I think it does sound familiar but I have no idea. I first thought of Cliff Burton but I don’t think he’s ever been called CJ.

Re: <title deleted by moderator> in Chit-Chat

Hey, contestant number four is Thom Yorke! Whee! Isn’t the music business profitable anymore? And after this I’m naturally waiting for a post directed to us euro users.

And I do agree with Blonde Blade.

Re: any Khaled and / or Faudel - Fans here? in Other Bands & Artists

I think Khaled rocks, well, as fas as a rai musician can ‘rock’. I had the pleasure of attending his concert two years ago. Usually lyrics are important for me but not in this case since I don’t know Arabic. He’s a great singer. Rai is the true rebellious music.

Re: <title deleted by moderator> in Chit-Chat

God damn it, if I had enough money in my pocket I would track down and punish the most notorious and disgusting criminals of them all, the spammers. No, I don’t want to give you a dollar or lose 20 pounds or look 20 years younger, I want to get medieval on your ass. I don’t know why it bothers me that much, it just does.

Re: The White Stripes in Other Bands & Artists

I haven’t got any albums but there’s a thought in the back of my head that I should get them all. The reason is simply the great and all-powerful “Fell in Love with a Girl” -video. If you haven’t seen it, one word: Lego. They were here a few months ago (or half a year ago, don’t remember for sure) and I missed them.

Re: <title deleted by moderator> in Chit-Chat

What a great and original idea!

“This program remains successful because of the honesty and integrity of the participants.” Jesus. If anyone knows any of the people on that list, please pay them a visit and thank them for their honesty and integrity. Snapperheads…

Re: all the covers that therapy have performed listed in General Therapy? Topics

Interesting. According to this, Therapy? has played a cover version of “Sick of You” by Iggy Pop, who has covered “Sick of You” by Therapy?. And hey, there’s no “You Give Love a Bad Name”, a part of which was not played but sung at Tavastia in ‘99, though it was just the chorus.

Re: The Emily and Rotten.com-test in Chit-Chat

Interesting. I’m with opalmantra. I sometimes wish I could live like that although, well, I don’t like football. The only thing that stops me from doing all that is the funny little thing called conscience.

Anyway, this is actually a more difficult question than I thought of. To be or not to be a pig, that is indeed the question. I got 2/5 of Emily’s list (ok, ‘the hitting the members of the opposite sex’ point is of course from childhood, haven’t done that for decades, cheers to both of my sisters). Hmm. I’ll have to rate me as a pig.

Anyway, thanks to sister for the poll. Don’t take this or life too seriously :)

Re: The Best Bad Religion album in Other Bands & Artists

Tough call. I guess I’ll have to go with “Against the Grain”. “Stranger Than Fiction” does kick ass.

Btw, has anyone heard the infamous (and their only album not released on CD?) “Into the Unknown”? It’s supposed to be somehing completely different.

Re: Please read. in Chit-Chat

This calls for an immediate study! We need to find out the percentage of men who really are pigs and how does it reflect to the percentage of men being gay. The results must be interesting. Not surprising, I’d say, but interesting.

Of course this has all been off-T?opic until now but you don’t see me care. Anyway, welcome, Emily, anything you need to find out about Therapy? is right here. Start with this site and the sound clips and check the links for more. I’m off for the weekend. Peace.

Re: Which 80s hair metal band are you? in Other Bands & Artists

I would have liked to be Twisted Sister. Mötley Crüe is a close second (the first time I ever did crowd-surfing (which is of course dangerous) was in a Mötley Crüe comeback -concert in Roskilde). But Europe rocks, even though most of the time I can’t remember only one of their songs. Guess which song.

Re: How do you change your member status? in Your Feedback & Suggestions

I don’t think it’s that, since I wasn’t a member in the good ol’ times, I just joined in May. Maybe it’s for some strange reason. Well, my mom always said that I was special.

I’m Europe! Yeah! Rock on!

Re: What other message boards are you on? in Chit-Chat

This is pretty much the only message board I’m active on, although I browse through some others frequently. All the other boards I read are in Finnish. They’re mostly just for entertainment purposes only, for some reason the Internet has been taken over by a truckload of people who want to test each other’s sense of humour on anonymous chatboards and usually fail at that.

Re: How do you change your member status? in Your Feedback & Suggestions

Strange days have found us. It’s there in my profile, and as you see I don’t have that many posts extra compared to yours. I don’t know. Maybe there’s some explanation somewhere.

Re: Do you remember M.A.D.? in Chit-Chat

I remember him. This whole mp3-conversation was the first ever real conversation for me in this forum. And now that person is gone. I don’t know what to say. Rest in peace.
