Wall of Mouths

I’m a regular texter/song requester on Xfm South Wales and the DJs all kind of know who I am now. In some cases, I’ve got my own fanfare that they play whenever I text in. They even gave me my own half hour stint on there a few weeks ago.

Today I was listening to Stuart Cable’s show (ex-Stereophincs drummer) as I left work. As I was walking out, he said someone had requested a Therapy? song, but he didn’t think he could play it (even Xfm have playlists they have to adhere to). I text him straight away saying I’m a huge T? fan and even have a tattoo and that T? never get played anymore, so he said he’d try and get something on.

After a few songs he said “This is for the girl who text in earlier and for Phil in Swansea, who is a huge Therapy? fan and even has a Therapy? tattoo! Turn up loud, this is Screamager!”

After it finished he was saying what a great band they are and it turned out his producer/co-presenter is a huge fan too. He kep giving me shout outs too, which was cool.

As for Andy sounding like Roy Walker… it’s good, but it’s not right.

I heard it’s just some kid, but it’s an interpretation of a young Dahmer. Meant to be him, but actually isn’t.

I thought it was a promotional shot of Robin Williams in Popeye.

One of the members of the VR forum I’m on got into the Metal Hammer awards and met a load bands. Therapy? were there, and he’s got 2 pictures with them.

The line was used in an Edward Norton film about 3 years ago, can’t remember the name of it, something like 13th hour (directed by Spike Lee). It’s been around for a while, anyway.

My friend had it as her MSN screename for a while, she’s not a T? fan and it was before Fall Out Boy were even heard of. Halcyun days.

Bought it yesterday, apart from Therapy?, that CD is absolute shit and I’m not even going to play the other free CD that came with the magazine. They should change it to Emo Sound.

Doesn’t the hidden track at the end of Suicide Pact have lyrics from another song too? I haven’t listened to it for some time, so I’m not sure.

For the record, I love Shameless. Not the best album, but I listen to it a lot.

My cat on the other hand loves Troublegum and has denounced every album since then, apart from a few tracks on Infernal Love. There’s no reasoning with him.

I got home yesterday to find that one of my cats had shit on the Shameless CD I had carelessly left on the floor.

Everyone, even our feline friends it seems, is a critic.

They’re pretty good and catchy, but totally different from the old stuff though.

I probably won’t even burn it onto CD, just keep it on my PC and my MP3 player, so it doesn’t really bother me.

I was wondering the same thing when I looked there the other day. There’s Lonely Cryin’ Only and little else on there. There must be a lot of interviews, live performances, etc, from the last 10 years. The original Isolation video would be good. Haven’t seen that for a while.

At least it’s got some studio recorded, non-album tracks with it and there’s artwork to download too.

I’m not listening to it. I gave into the temptation of listening to the leaked Guns N Roses demos, but the way I see it, no one knows when that album’s coming out so I could be waiting a year or more. I can wait a month for the full effect of One Cure.

His name’s familiar. I’m not familiar with The Colour Of Fire, who he produced, but everyone’s got a soft spot for The Darkness and working with The Tokyo Dragons is never a bad thing. They were pretty good supporting T? last year.
