Re: deftones in Other Bands & Artists

Apparently it’s about falling asleep on your wrist… so yeah!

There’s lot of rumours that this could be the last album from them but if it is it’s a hell of away to go out.The other only track i’m not really fond of is Pink Cellphone but everything else is class!

Re: deftones in Other Bands & Artists

The new album is brilliant, the title Saturday Night Wrist is a bit dodgy though.

Re: Doctor Who in Chit-Chat

Last nights Torchwood was alright, one of the better episodes. It could interesting whatever this thing in the dark is thats going to come after Jack.I missed the episode that was on the week before.

What i mean’t was Squall quite a few guests on the Jonathan Ross show slag his hair, clothes etc but it’s just good friendly banter i don’t think either him or the guests seem insulted.

Re: The Killers in Other Bands & Artists

I’ve only heard 4-5 songs off Sam’s Town and i’ve not been impressed.

I want someone to go on Wossy’s show and completely lay into him, say his hair and clothes are shit, his voice is pathetic, his jokes are sub-carry on crap and see hwo he takes it :D

That happens most weeks.

I didn’t see the last episode of Torchwood, i read Captain Jack will be appearing in an episode of the next series of Doctor Who.

Re: Doctor Who in Chit-Chat

Did anyone watch see John Barrowman on the Jonathan Ross show a few weeks back and on last weeks Nevermind The Buzzcocks? He was very funny.

I’ve seen 5 episodes of Torchwood now and i still can’t decide whether or not i like the show and i still can’t name any of the characters other than Captain Jack.
The show doesn’t seem to show any signs of improving, i saw a clip of next weeks and they’ve resorted to more lesbian scenes.Which like Dennis said fun to watch but i wish they would put more effort into the scripts.

I think if Torchwood the series was more like the Torchwood in the final two episodes of series two of Doctor Who and was more sinister the show would be better.

Re: Your albums of this year (2006) in Other Bands & Artists

I’ve not bought many new albums this year but these are the ones i’ve liked…

Mastodon - Blood Mountain
James Dean Bradfield - The Great Western
Thom Yorke - The Erazer
Ginger - Valor Del Corazon
Lacuna Coil - Karmacode
Therapy? - One Cure Fits All
Muse - Black Holes and Revelations
Scissor Sisters - Ta Dah!

Not strictly an album but the Silver EP by Jesu was one of my most played CD’s this year and it’s worth checking out.

There’s lots of album i’ve not got around to buying yet due to me wasting money on things like food, bills and driving lessons but hopefully i should pick up a few more 06 albums in the New Year sales.

For me the most disappointing album of 06 has been Tool 10.000 Days.

The best re-releases this year have been…

Manic Street Preachers - Everything Must Go 10TH Anniversary Edition
Mansun - Legacy The Best Of

Re: Doctor Who in Chit-Chat

Unfortunately freeview isn’t available where i live so i have to wait until BBC2 show Torchwood on wednesdays.I thought the first two episodes were alright.I enjoyed the two girls kissing :D, i liked the references to the Doctor especially the severed hand.I think Torchwood will get better as the series continues, John Barrowman was great again as Captain Jack.

Re: Reissued, Remastered, Repackaged in Other Bands & Artists

I don’t mind it when a band puts a lot of effort into a re-release like the Manics have but it pisses me off when an album is re-released with one bonus track like Roadrunner used to do with their bands.

Re: Lost… in Chit-Chat

RTE the main television channel in the Republic of Ireland are showing Lost season 3 very soon.I think they’re showing a recap of season 2 first. They get all the American TV series way ahead of the UK channels, they’ve already shown the complete series of the Sopranos months ahead of E4.

Re: Lost… in Chit-Chat

I’ve seen both seasons and for the most part i’ve enjoyed the show but i’m not expecting them to ever really explain it all and they’ll probably have one of those endings where you have to make your mind up over what happened.

Re: Extras in Chit-Chat

The repeat is on tonight on BBC2 if anyone missed it, I enjoyed this series of Extra’s.I thought the scenes with Jonathan Ross were very good, i was surprised to see De Niro at the end.

Someone likes Black Holes For the Young?! I’m proud the Manix ‘discovered’ Sophie first but i really hate that song!

They didn’t really discover her because Theaudience around that time had a cult following and her mum used to be a Blue Peter presenter,i don’t mind the song it’s much better than some of the tracks that made the album.

Anyway back to JDB bought the new single and Days Slipping Away is a brilliant track should have been on the album. The other two original JDB songs are rather annoyingly vinyl only so i haven’t heard them, hopefully i can get them online.
