Re: Exclusive Therapy? Webgig in General Therapy? Topics

For the regulars on this board it wouldn’t make much sense to vote for songs like Nowhere. On the other hand, if you haven’t been to a T? gig before, I can imagine why you would vote for the most popular songs. If I had to pick a song for Metallica to play, it would be ‘One’, even if they play it regularly. So yeah, I can understand it.

I’m happy some of the songs made it though (Straight Life! Evil Elvis!! Manson!!!).

Re: Confirmed Dutch gigs (JD rock nights) in Therapy? Live

I’ll be in Tilburg as well!!! Would be nice to meet you guys again!

Re: Feeder… in Other Bands & Artists

Yeah, I have it. It’s a great cd, isn’t it? I especially like the rocking songs, they should do songs like that more often. Overall, the tracks are quite mellow, but still very good nonetheless.

Do you have Picture of Perfect Youth as well? That’s a great album as well, finally all the b-sides compiled on two discs!

Re: Songs T? should play live… in General Therapy? Topics

You’ll also find it on the Dead Laughing bootleg. The version on this one is the same as on the Fanclub 1996 cd, but Dead Laughing is way easier to get.

Re: Feeder… in Other Bands & Artists

Shade is also an amazing song, both on album and played live.

I already listened to the new album ‘Pushing The Senses’ (out end of January 2005), it’s a winner!

Re: Only One Guitar in Therapy? Live

But on the other hand: we won’t be hearing the boring, sloooooooow version of Diane ever again. If they’ll ever play it live again, it’ll be the *cool* rocking version!

Didn’t really miss the second guitar I must say. Nowhere sounded great as always, even Stories sounded good without the cello!

Re: New(er) Therapy? fans… in General Therapy? Topics

I got into T? back in ‘99, when I picked up Troublegum and Infernal Love. But I got really hooked when I listened to Semi-Detached, ‘twas love at first listen!

Re: General Happy Birthday Topic! in Chit-Chat

Cheers you guys! And thanks for the compliment Robby, you Belgians aren’t that bad either :D

I missed the Germans this year! Yesterday must’ve been my first T? gig ever without seeing you guys standing in front of the stage :( Hope to see all of you again at the next gig, wherever it may be!

Re: Tilburg in Therapy? Live

I really liked the 013 show, best one out of the four 013 T? gigs I’ve seen so far. The crowd wasn’t that bad I thought, way better than at previous 013 gigs. Good setlist as well, good to see the lads liked the gig themselves as well!

Always great to meet some of you WOMbles on tour again, greetings to Robby, Gie, and Ronald!

I would qualify as a doubtful case, wouldn’t I?

Happy b-day Robby! Also a late (but better late than never) b-day to Roxana!

Re: Stories re-issue for trade in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade

Funny how the current Ebay item seems to be quite popular… I still have a double copy of the Dutch re-issued Stories single, I’m willing to trade it for other interesting T? items.

Re: Metal Hammer November 2004 in General Therapy? Topics

In the ‘Nieuwe Revu’ (Dutch magazine, not really a rock/music magazine, but still) it got 5 out of 5 stars and was called ‘record of the year’!

The Durchfall thing is from our good Belgian friend RobbyVDH. I guess we’ll always remember him as ‘The Durchfall guy’ from now on :D

Re: While we are busy about alcohol: What is the worst thing you did or happened to you? in Chit-Chat

Passed out somewhere in an alley in the city centre 5 years ago. The police found me, phoned my parents with the message: ‘Do you have a son of about 20 years old (I was 18 back then…)? We found him… totally hammered!’. Scared the hell out of my parents, but we could all laugh about it afterwards (my mum and dad are the best!).

Quite some blank spots in my memory after some heavy drinking. Conversations like ‘you kissed girl X’, and me replying ‘I did WHAT??!!’ are no exception.

Fell asleep sitting on the toilet with my pants down once or twice.

Forgot to store my contact lenses, so instead of safely storing them in lense fluid, I just threw them in the sink (happened a couple of times) and leave them there getting dried out and useless. I can’t remember how often I fell asleep with my contact lenses still in, and waking up with dry sore eyes.

Took a shower when I got home (or a couple of hours afterwards), and not remembering it. Then you look at yourself in the mirror, and wonder: ‘Dear God, what happened to my hair??’. Once, the wet towel next to my bed didn’t even ring a bell, I just showered again only to find out after that that I showered twice!

Pretty innocent I’d say, apart from the first one. I never got involved in a ‘drunk fight’, even managed to prevent some between drunk bastards and my (drunk) friends!

Hoegaarden is fuckin ace - I really like Warshteiner (or however that is spelt), San Miguel, Oranjeboom and Corona as well - UK larger is shite

You’re the first one I know about to drink Oranjeboom voluntarily! Sometimes you’re ‘forced’ (not literally, but you know what I mean!) to drink it, since it’s the only lager a bar has, but when I have the choice, Oranjeboom would be the first I skip.

My fav brands would be:

Hoegaarden
Lucifer
Kilkenny
‘t Kolleke - Jonge Jan (private brewery, local brand)

My fav ‘drink till you drop beer’ would be Bavaria, after two or three glasses you drink it like water!

I still have it, you can send me an e-mail by clicking on my name, there’s an option there to send e-mails to members (I don’t like leaving my e-mail address openly on the Internet)

Re: Drivin Licence in Chit-Chat

The problem isn’t really that your endangering your own health by drunk driving. If you end up dead against a tree, it’s our own damn fault. But if you hit someone else, in the worst case a child, while you’re drunk and driving… Quite frankly, drunk people causing fatal accidents should burn in hell.

Stories re-issue for trade in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade

Title: Stories re-issue for trade

Hello all! I just picked up a copy of the fairly rare Stories Re-issue. Since I have two copies, I’d like to trade this for another T? item I don’t have yet. If there’s an interesting offer, I’m sure we can work something out!

(Bad Mother, anyone? Might as well try, huh? :D )

Therapy? once again in 013 Tilburg! in Therapy? Live

Title: Therapy? once again in 013 Tilburg!

Just read it on the website of 013 Tilburg: Therapy? will play on Sunday Nov. 21 in Tilburg! It seems they have quite a preference for playing in Tilburg the last couple of years, they play it every major tour. It’s a keeper, also because it’s only a 30 min. drive from the place where I live :D

Hope to see some of you guys there! Oh yeah, pre-sale starts Oct. 2!

Re: Favourite song at present. in Other Bands & Artists

Damn right ‘Somebody Told Me’ by The Killers is a great song! The intro strongly reminds me of Dancin’ With Manson though, I was really fooled when I first heard ‘Somebody…’ on the radio, thought it was Therapy?

Also like ‘Getting Away With Murder’ by Papa Roach, it’s kinda catchy.

Re: it’s over. in Chit-Chat

Saying stuff like this never helps at first, but it’s one of the most accurate sayings: Time heals all wounds! Just let time do it’s work, until then: all the best!

Re: New Single in General Therapy? Topics

I think HA was released somewhere at the end of April last year. I’m not 100% sure, but my memory’s pretty good usually!

Re: Longest stretch of hic-ups. in Chit-Chat

I recently saw a programme featuring this dude who’s had the hic-ups for years now, and they can’t do anything about it! That must suck! I’ve never had it for more than half an hour, it mostly happens when I’m really drunk.

By the way, having all four of your wisdom teeth pulled out must be HELL! I have had them removed a couple of years ago, but I had 2 pulled at one time, not 4. I can imagine it must be hell for you!

Re: hi there! I’m back… <infernalover> in Chit-Chat

Hey man, good to have you back! Did you manage to convert some generals to become T? fans? You did introduce some T? songs as marching songs, didn’t you?

That’s damn true, my Greek friend! Still in seventh heaven, or has the daily reality of working and other shit kicked in?
