Re: Feeder… in Other Bands & Artists
Yeah, I have it. It’s a great cd, isn’t it? I especially like the rocking songs, they should do songs like that more often. Overall, the tracks are quite mellow, but still very good nonetheless.
Do you have Picture of Perfect Youth as well? That’s a great album as well, finally all the b-sides compiled on two discs!

Re: Feeder… in Other Bands & Artists
Shade is also an amazing song, both on album and played live.
I already listened to the new album ‘Pushing The Senses’ (out end of January 2005), it’s a winner!

This album is superb, one of the best I’ve heard in a loooong time!

Re: Favourite song at present. in Other Bands & Artists
Damn right ‘Somebody Told Me’ by The Killers is a great song! The intro strongly reminds me of Dancin’ With Manson though, I was really fooled when I first heard ‘Somebody…’ on the radio, thought it was Therapy?
Also like ‘Getting Away With Murder’ by Papa Roach, it’s kinda catchy.

Re: Velvet Revolver in Other Bands & Artists
Can’t help but noticing a reference to Guns ‘n Roses in the band name: Revolver -> Gun; Velvet -> Rose. Or am I talking crap here? Both band names have a clear ‘paradox’ in it, if you know what I mean.

Re: Guilty pleasure in Other Bands & Artists
Not sure if I’m the only one, but I quite like ‘This Love’ by Maroon5. Does that qualify as a guilty pleasure?

Re: Thanks Creed… in Other Bands & Artists
They started out good with My Own Prison I think, but then they must have fallen for stardom or something, I don’t know what happened. They were really full of shit, weren’t they? They had some good songs though, Torn is still a killer track.

Re: Worst Album Cover… in Other Bands & Artists
Has anybody ever seen the cover for Denim Demon by Turbonegro? That’s the worst and scariest thing I’ve ever seen on a cover, how do you expect to sell something to straight people with a cover like that!?

Re: Favourite song at present. in Other Bands & Artists
Been listening to Yellowcard (Ocean Avenue) and The Get Up Kids (The Guilt Show) a lot the last couple of days. Both can be labelled ‘emo’, but they both have somewhat of a distinctive sound I think.

Re: Worst Album Cover… in Other Bands & Artists
It’s a lame cover indeed! But how about the best cover? I’ve been thinking about this a while ago, I think my fav is the cover of LoveHateTragedy by Papa Roach. I attached the pic, but I edited it a bit, that is, I removed all text so that the ‘rocking baby’ is the only thing left!
(Before changing the message boards’ software in August 2007 this post had a file attachment, which may return in the future)

Re: Favourite song at present. in Other Bands & Artists
Guess it’s time for an update. Songs I’ve been listening to a lot lately are:
Courtney Love - Mono (this one really blew me away!)
Murderdolls - Love at first fright
Evanescence - Tourniquet
Feeder - Shade
Electric Six - Gay bar (now matter how often I hear it, it’s still funny as hell!)

Re: Feeder… in Other Bands & Artists
For the Feeder fans among us (which includes me!): check out the link below to find out which Feeder album you ‘are’. I ‘am’ Comfort in Sound:
“You’ve been through a lot in your life, but although you remember the tough times and always will, you look to the future with optimism and even a smile on your face”
I can live with this description…

Re: Feeder… in Other Bands & Artists
Comfort in Sound is a very special album for the band, it’s by far their most personal. Although I prefer the ‘rocky’ Feeder, I still think CiS is one of their best. It helped me through a difficult period too. Some of the lyrics are very recognizable, I think it will remain an alltime favourite of mine, Forget About Tomorrow being the standout track for me. That song really does something to me anyway.

Re: albums in 2004 in Other Bands & Artists
Don’t worry Alan, I agree with you on the first album and TCATS, that last one is a real classic if you ask me! And I’m not that old, so there’s nothing to worry about mate!

But at least we have better roads in The Netherlands compared to Belgium! I always find it funny that you can exactly pinpoint the location of the border between Holland and Belgium, it the exact same place where the good road stops (goodbye Holland), and the bumpy uneven road begins (helloooo Belgium!)!

Re: Favourite song at present. in Other Bands & Artists
Some of the songs that are on ‘heavy rotation’ right now:
The Ataris - Boys of summer
Incubus - Megalomaniac
Evanescence - My immortal
And this one is probably going to piss off some of you:
The Rasmus - First day of my life
It’s just so damn catchy!

Ride The Lighting also belongs to the Hall of Fame of rock classics, dunno which one I like better: RtL or MoP.

They’re playing Amsterdam in June as well, with Korn and Slipknot as support.

Re: 2003 in Other Bands & Artists
Fav album has to be High Anxiety, followed by Muse’s Absolution and Natural Selection by Fuel. Best singles are:
1. Muse - Stockholm Syndrome
2. Therapy? - If It Kills Me
3. Muse - Time Is Running Out
Then, in no particular order:
Feeder - Forget About Tomorrow
AFI - Girl’s Not Grey
Marilyn Manson - This Is The New Shit
Face Tomorrow - Worth The Wait
Kane - Rain Down On Me (Tiesto Remix)
HIM - Funeral Of Hearts
QOTSA - Go With The Flow
WORST songs/singles (and there’s been quite a few this year, these are the worst though):
1. Lorna - Papi Chulo
2. Jamai & Dewi - When You Walk In The Room
3. Benni Benassi - Satisfaction
Personally, 2003 was really memorable, lots of weird stuff has happened, both good and bad things. I hope 2004 will be a better year for me though, cos the bad things really outweigh the good things this year.

I don’t LIKE them, I LOVE them! Went to the Amsterdam gig last week, which was a blast! My fav songs are My Perfect Day, Turn, Insomnia, Forget About Tomorrow, among others.

After he left T?, he played in a band called The Divers for a while. If you use the search option on this site, you should be able to find other threads in which the same question you ask is answered. I don’t know what he’s doing now.
