Re: The Return Of The King in Chit-Chat
I went to see it last sunday, and it was a bit of a dissapointment. I’ve read the books about once a year for the last 6 years, and the 3rd book is far better than the 3rd movie. I didn’t have this feeling with the previous 2 movies.
The movie is much too short, I hope the DVD version will be better. It probably has also something to do with the fact that they had to cover the end of the 2nd book in the 3rd movie. Why they didn’t do this in the 2nd movie instead of adding bits to get Arwen in, I don’t know.

Re: dante’s inferno test in Chit-Chat
You are one of the lucky ones! Because of your virtue and beliefs, you have escaped eternal punishment. You are sent to the First Level of Hell - Limbo!
First Level of Hell - Limbo
Charon ushers you across the river Acheron, and you find yourself upon the brink of grief’s abysmal valley. You are in Limbo, a place of sorrow without torment. You encounter a seven-walled castle, and within those walls you find rolling fresh meadows illuminated by the light of reason, whereabout many shades dwell. These are the virtuous pagans, the great philosophers and authors, unbaptised children, and others unfit to enter the kingdom of heaven. You share company with Caesar, Homer, Virgil, Socrates, and Aristotle. There is no punishment here, and the atmosphere is peaceful, yet sad.

Re: I should be called Mr sabotage! in Chit-Chat
I’m already voting Accelerator and Moment Of Clarity, so I can live with those. I’m listening to Dancin’ With Manson right now to see if it’s going to be my 4th choice, but I think I prefer Innocent X.

Happy birthday to all.
It’s good to see there’s at least one persons birthday who is older than me for a change. I was beginning to feel old. :)

Re: How many forum members does it take to change a lightbulb? in Chit-Chat
On topic: I just remembered that I actually did change a lightbulb last week, so I can speak from personal experience that it indeed takes 1 forummember to do the job.

Re: Pukkelpop 2003 in Chit-Chat
I was also disappointed that the Foo Fighters didn’t play an encore. The show was very good.
I also liked Beck, earlier on the day.

Re: Pukkelpop 2003 in Chit-Chat
I’ll be there on Friday, not yet sure how soon I can get there. I’m going mainly for the Foo Fighters and Beck.
I saw Limp Bizkit the previous time they were there (same day as Therapy?), and left after 10 minutes. I hope for Robby they’re a bit better now.

Re: Who has the best haircut in T? ? in Chit-Chat
I saw this coming as soon as I read the Pollmania thread.
Now all someone has to do is mention beer in this thread and take it off-topic. :D
Just noticed that my next post will be my 100th. Got to make it a special one.

Your average is 0.24 posts per day which makes 1.68 posts per week. do you really call that a few? :)
Well, since I can only post whole messages, this rounds up to 2 posts per week.
I call this “a few” because in fact I was translating from Dutch and meant to say “een paar” which strictly speaking would translate as “a pair”. But saying “a pair of posts” doesn’t sound like real English.
A pair equals 2, so my statement was exact :D (even though I didn’t check my statistics before making it).

I’m active.
I’m not up to 100 posts yet, but I only post a few per week.

Re: Crowdsurfing should be banned! in Chit-Chat
I don’t mind stagediving, as you can see them coming. My brother-in-law once got hit in the back of the head by a crowdsurfer with heavy boots during a T? festival show. He went out cold, but luckily recovered before I could drag him over to the side. This meant that he wasn’t badly hurt and we could enjoy the rest of the show. But we spent some time in the first aid tent with some ice on his head afterwards, and a headache. It does take away some of the fun when you have to watch your back all the times.
I think it is even a bigger “problem” in festivals, as there are a lot of crowdsurfers that don’t really care about which band is playing. You just keep on seeing (and carrying) the same people over and over again. I understand that you want to crowdsurf, but there is such a thing as overdoing it.
Perhaps they should split the audience in 2 parts (which is mostly already done on festivals). Then they could allow crowdsurfing on one side and you could choose whether you want to support the crowdsurfers or not.
Definitely my longest post yet ;)
