Re: what is the perfect Therapy? song? in General Therapy? Topics

I met someone called Diane who hadn’t heard of Therapy? Nearly said ‘oh they did a song called that once’ but decided not to. Maybe I should have and then pointed out that it was only a cover.

Re: well here i am in New Members (Introduce Yourself)

The pit is for moshing, not so sure about crowd surfing though - got a boot in the eye at the last T? gig I went to, although a rather nice lass did ask if I was okay. That was last Nov, haven’t moshed since - must be age.

Any idea why it’s called a Gemil?

Re: <title deleted by moderator> in Chit-Chat

I don’t think that Xmyth is a real Therapy? fan.

Next time you get spam through the snail mail, send it back in the SAE, in order to waste the company’s money on postage as a thank you for them wasting your time. Don’t know if there’s an e-equivalent of doing that, but if anyone can think of one, then we should do it.

Re: New Therapy? cover version… possibly in General Therapy? Topics

I’ve put a vote in for ‘It’s a sin’ by the Pet Shop Boys, can’t take cover versions seriously since the Abba song

Re: Bigmouth Strikes Again in Chit-Chat

Are you sure? Sounds like you just described The Stone Roses and/or Courtney Love!

Re: New Therapy? cover version… possibly in General Therapy? Topics

1. You’re dead right
2. I’m being unclear, sorry

I don’t think that band performming the cover has to have had a number one, but the song covered has to have been a number one, therefore T? could do a cover of ‘Hit Me Baby One More Time’ or ‘Everything I Do (I Do It For You)’…

New Therapy? cover version… possibly in General Therapy? Topics

Title: New Therapy? cover version… possibly

The NME are trying to line up acts for a covers album to celebrate 50 years of both NME and the charts, and to raise funds for War Child. In short, the more emails they get nominating both a band (Therapy?) and a previous number 1 single to cover, the more chance there is of them asking the band to do it.

Full(er) details are on http://www.nme.com/news/102711.htm, or you can email at news@nme.com

Anyone got any ideas for a number 1? Anyone know if the and would be up for it?

Re: Bad Karma follows me around. in Chit-Chat

I currently have the world’s worst mouth ulcer, which has been giving me a headache since Sunday (right in the middle of 24), but it’ll go in a few days. Things going downhill let you build up momentum for the next up, which invariably leads to another down sooner or later, but try not to think about that too much.

Plus I’m at work. Never a good day when that happens.

Re: Holiday in Chit-Chat

Anyone going to Reading? Am only there for Sunday, to see The Offspring, so might see you there. Still another 3 weeks today until 2 weeks with no work… can’t come soon enough!

Re: Please read. in Chit-Chat

Missed Dog Soldiers but anything with Sean Pertwee is usually good, so will probably rent it sooner or later.

Resident Evil was fun if you like scary movies - didn’t freak me (seen NofLD too often), but my girlfriend was terrified.

Re 8LF - Spiders from Mars - bit of an anoraky reference I guess, but being an anorak just won me a bottle of champagne, which is a nice way to start the weekend.

Re: Please read. in Chit-Chat

Dano has a point regarding posting phone numbers etc. and I’m not sure if the moderator can be held for breaching the data protection act either, for leaving the message up.

Also went on the Big One in 1997 - first drop is a thrill but it was over too quickly, how very real life!

Re: Please read. in Chit-Chat

Sorry Dano, hope we haven’t spoiled it for you xxx.

Look out for the David Bowie reference though!

Re: Where is everybody from? in Chit-Chat

£60k a year, plus car, health cover and 40 days annual leave would be nice, but I’m willing to negotiate…

I loved it! If Blade 2 hadn’t come out this year, 8 Legged Freaks would be my movie of the year, no question.

And now I’ve got a DVD of Octopus to go watch, so I’ll catch you later :-)

Best bit? Probably when the tent started moving about in the mall - had me in stitches. Did you see the trailer for Reign of Fire? Can’t decide if it looks okay in a B movie sort of way or complete rubbish.

Re: Please read. in Chit-Chat

I had a friend, he got a girlfriend, he never wrote, he never called, and then he got unceremoniously dumped. Then he started phoning and writing and so on again. It wasn’t just me, it was all his friends he treated like this. And we forgave him, because he was a friend. Now he’s met someone else and has again gone very quiet. But we’ll still be here when he needs us, because we’re his friends & that’s was friends do.

Em - if you get back in touch with your mates then there’ll either still be there for you, in which case you’ve not lost anything, or else they’re not real friends, and you’re better off without them.

Blonde Babe - what did you think of 8 legged freaks? I saw it on Saturday and thought it passed the time quite well.

Re: Please read. in Chit-Chat

Really vile blokes do always seem to have a girl (or more with them), but then, all the worst women seem to get the blokes chasing after them when they should perhaps be left well alone. Anyone else think they’re attracted to the people that are worst for them?

Emily, you should get your mate to play you Troublegum very loud. Then go and do some of the things you used to like doing before you met your boyfriend and remind yourself of how cool you are without him.

BTW I watch Sex and the City and am a bloke. Never realyl saw the point of Bridget Jones though.

Re: Back from the Scandinavian tour - April 2002 in Therapy? Live

Off to Borneo in just under 5 weeks time, and can’t wait (mainly to get away from work).

Tried to get a cheap ferry deal to Scandanavia earlier this year, but couldn’t find anything that we could afford. Never seen Tpy? outside of the UK though

Re: Back from the Scandinavian tour - April 2002 in Therapy? Live

went to Kiruna at the top end of Sweden vlast December - gets chilly up there, but the whole place was gorgeous. Didn’t see any of Stockholm bar the inside of the airport, but I’m told it’s lovely.

Sunny Geordieland, not that I’m a local. Been here 7 years but am looking to move to London - anyone know of any jobs going that way?

Re: Stereotype T? Fan? in General Therapy? Topics

Thanks for the hello, it’s nice to finally make it :)

I thought we came off as quite cool at the start of the Meaning of Life though but the awful truth is far far worse - hence the need to be a T? fan.

would probably fit in at work more if I liked Travis or Popstars or something, but you can’t get lobotomies on the NHS…

Re: Stereotype T? Fan? in General Therapy? Topics

Hi! First ever post, be nice ; )

I’m an accountant for my sins (it’s true about bad karma), as far as I’m aware, I’m the only one that likes T?
