Re: Which would be the perfect band to go on tour with Therapy? ? in Therapy? Live
that’s it, I’ve officially changed my mind about this (I wonder when this will happen again). I had previously said Throat or Idlewild but hey, how much would I like to see Therapy? and Deftones headlining plus Isis and Finch as special guests…?? Do not make me think about it too much, aw :D

Re: Pot Noodle in Chit-Chat
I do love them but I only have them at festivals and after really great gigs. It’s like a celebration. We go to Sainsbury’s near my place (open 24 hours monday to friday) after the gig and buy a couple of them hot and spicy ones and while we eat them we send a text to all our friends who couldn’t come see the gig to let em know what they just missed…

Remind me to breathe when I listen to Stand In Line in General Therapy? Topics
Title: Remind me to breathe when I listen to Stand In Line
We-ell, I thought I had to share this :)
My mate came to see me today (I was not expecting him) and brought me a promo of High Anxiety. Unfortunatly he couldna leave it to me ‘cos it was someone else’s copy and had to give it back soon, thus I could only listen to it about four or five times. But it made my day all the same!
I had already heard Rust, IIKM, Hey Satan U Rock and Who Knows and, like most of you, thought they were brilliant. And the rest of the record is even better. There was not one song I didn’t like. At first I thought my least fav was Last Blast but I really love the last fifty or so seconds when it goes all quiet..
My Voodoo Doll and Watch You Go are great singalong tracks - bit of punk rock just like Hey Satan - but at the moment my favourite ones have to be Stand In Line and Not In Any Name (I was standing still and held my breath to be as silent as possible while listening to them for the first time..but my mate got worried when I started changing colour..). I’m sure I’ll change my mind in a few days time but it doesn’t really matter. High Anxiety is superb and sounds nothing like the old records. In fact, I won’t be surprised if it will replace Infernal Love as my favourite Therapy? album..
Am I sounding too excited? Well worth it, I can’t wait to buy my own copy of High Anxiety…here starts the countdown! :D

Re: … and TotalRock… in General Therapy? Topics
no-one has mentioned martin also said andy and michael were in milan that day. in fact, a friend of mine who lives over there told me she heard them on some italian radio but she wasn’t bright enuff to record it. dammit dammit dammit

Re: what about parents??? in General Therapy? Topics
i’ve been to many gigs with my mum (although i’m pretty sure she’s upset with me cos i’ve never taken her to see 3 colours red) and i have a couple of friends who, too, have gone everywhere with their mums (and still go everywhere).
it never looked as though they were trying to be rock or act younger than what they actually are. i know for sure they do it because they like live music a lot :)
plus, it’s good to have someone who stays at the back and can hold your jacket and your keys for you :D

Re: Going Nowhere? in Therapy? Live
ok sensei, when i’m done with the english version i’ll send it to you. unfortunatly i was asked to translate it in three languages and it’s taking me some time cos jokes can mean something in a language and nothing in another..but i’m so embarassed about it…
(uh, i’ve just heard martin on totalrock radio! thats why it was taking me ages to write this post..)

Re: Which would be the perfect band to go on tour with Therapy? ? in Therapy? Live
Feeder would be a wonderful choice. either that, or Idlewild. or Throat, even.

Re: Vote for T? to play your favourite song live! in Therapy? Live
i went for Jude The Obscene too.
and Disgracelands.
and Hate Kill Destroy.
hard choice though. after voting i realised i had forgotten about other great songs..skyward, a moment of clarity..
a live album is capital.. but an album for every gig is a suicide! pearl jam are currently doing an album for every gig they’re playing. they’re available for one week and you can order them online. i bought an australian one, can’t afford others and pisses me off cuz i’m a big fan!

Re: Consequences in Chit-Chat
are there really people who iron their underwear?? :p
my old flatmate used to give me funny looks every time i was ironing pillow cases. she used to say the only person she’d seen doing that was her granma.
i was flattered.

Re: Been so long gone… in Chit-Chat
oh yes! “bandages”! that’s why it sounded so familiar…your son’s version’s much better though :D
i’ll try my best in taking good pictures. i’m usually in two minds about it when i go to gigs…and i’m like, shall i take my camera and stick to the front or leave my bag at home and do some great crowdsurfing???
i eventually end up going for the latter :D
alas, this time my knee has already decided on my behalf and that means no jumping no stagediving whatsoever..which might as well be a good excuse for taking out my camera again..

Re: Going Nowhere? in Therapy? Live
nope osaki, i wasn’t at those gigs. i had tickets but i gave them to someone else cos i still couldn’t walk properly.
elise and silvia ain’t coming, in fact they gone back home for good. they will be in zurich though.
as far as i know they are not working on Heaven Kicked Us Out anymore. they’re still waiting for my therapy? fictional biography to put on their site but they wouldn’t know how to do it anyway. my ex (he was helping them with the website) said none of them can remember the angelfire password to the webshell or something like that. it’s ridiculous but if you know them you can expect things like that from them…:D

Re: To all the Therapy? fans out there worldwide in Site Announcements
hey you kind people in italyyy! please tell me how to get tickets to see therapy? in milan, will you. do you have any info on the venue? any idea on what time doors will open and stuff like that???

you’re right, it was by tears for fears, even if i don’t know their version. this one i mentioned was a cover :).
a couple of days ago we were playing ‘hurt’ on the stereo we’ve got at work; my collegue and i sang it all by heart, eyes closed. and we didn’t notice a customer coming in. she said “i tried to be quiet cos i thought you were having a moment…”. oh boy. how embarassing.

Re: happy easter! in Chit-Chat
no holiday yet. it’s good to work during bank holiday, they pay you thrice more than usual, i can put up with that :D
i dealt with stomach aches for 6 years and did all sorts of tests but never found out what it was. i stopped seeing the doc and Gods know why, the last three years have been great. i’m not all that superstitious but i’d rather not say it too loud ;)

Re: Consequences in Chit-Chat
my word, i didn’t know the game was so famous! we used to play it at school (it wasn’t called Consequences, apparently nobody knew what it was called) back home in switzerland, about 10 years ago and i was talking about it with a friend of mine just the other day. what a coincidence. and even if we were only eleven years old and sober*, the fun was guaranteed..
*but we already had twisted minds..

Re: Been so long gone… in Chit-Chat
:) i like your one too, where did ya get it from?
i am actually taking a few days off and definitely go see them a couple of times. my only uk show will be the london one, then hopefully will fly to france, italy and switzerland, mainly because i have friends and relatives over there and it’s a good excuse to meet them too especially if they give me a free place where to stay overnight :d
having said that i feel really crap. you just said you might not be able to go see (aroma)therapy? and i’m talking about five gigs i’m gonna see. not very tactful of me. aw:(
what did you exactly meant by “bald (and blonde)”???
i really think we’de better stop letting other people messing with our hair;). last week i had to cut my boyfriend’s hair and that went ok. then he - the perverted soul - asked me if he could just help me get rid of the bloody split ends. right. when he was done he was like, shall we go out. i said, ah not me, i’ll be staying in for the next few months…!
since it happened on a tuesday night he was quite happy to stay at home and watch CSI instead. he needs to watch it as much as i need to watch ER. we all agree on that. our friends say we should get out more…hmmm..

Re: Going Nowhere? in Therapy? Live
it hasn’t been confirmed yet so i wouldn’t trust this info 100%. i’ve received this mail from a couple of mates who are big big fans of PJ and might know something more about the european tour than we do:
“here we are, boys and girls. not confirmed - could be
postponed till 2004. i guess it depends whether they
feel up to it after the 2nd US leg.

Re: listening to right now.. cd’s in Other Bands & Artists
I just feel I have to add two more songs (two covers actually) which I’m listening to over and over again these days…
Hurt - Johnny Cash
Mad World - Gary Jules (from the Donnie Darko soundtrack)

brilliant. it’ll be great to see aerogramme live again. i saw them supporting idlewild in aberdeen two years ago. only they look more like fishermen rather than musicians. no sorry, didn’t mean that…:p

jeez, i bin trying to e-mail you but never got any reply!
didn’t know what happened to you, did you go to see psi in the end?
as far as therapy? are concerned, will you be going to the london show as well? i’ve bought my ticket already, i hoped we could meet again. let me know.
oh, pearl jam will be playing in london in september. i’ve sent you a mail with all the dates in europe, dunno if you’ve checked it yet.
there you go.
no wonder why you were not getting any reply, you kept writing to my old email address..! i sent you 2 (one is not enough. i thought, two, perhaps…) mails saying i would be changing my addi. dint you get that?? :p
yes i’ve been too quiet but know what, i recently got injured during this volleyball thing (something always happens, this time it happened to my knee. more vitamin D, i expect), got a few days off and calmed down a bit to recover ASAP. i went to see pitcshifter but stayed upstairs and you can’t imagine how i longed to be down in the pit.
so basically that means no breakdance for me at any tpy? shows unless it gets any better! last sunday i finally bought tickets to see them in london and that was a relief, but i’ll be restless until i get those for rimini (who mentioned venice??? is there a gig over there as well??).
last but not least, nana, my mates elise and silvia say hi. remember them when we saw taproot? i hope you’ve checked out pulse ultra, they literally kicked ass.
i know about pearl jam, man. and i was meant to go to new york to see them but can’t afford £900 and my friend’s already found someone else to go with, sad but true.
i haven’t said it yet, shame on me, the new look of both msg boards and website is really cute :)

hehe i know. i just saw taproot play the mean fiddler (i liked it more when it was still called astoria II) two months ago. you’ve got to start queueing pretty early to get somewhere in the front rows..

LA2 is actually the Mean Fiddler, isn’t it?
and that would be another small venue. the Transilvania in Milan is pretty tiny too!

i daresay ‘sleeping with ghosts’ is even better than ‘without you i’m nothing’..! not bad, considering ‘black market music’ was really disappointing

Re: War On Iraq in Chit-Chat
people living in small towns, the kind of towns where everyone knows who’s who, were forced to support fascism. there was too much talking, and if only a person was known to be against fascists that village would have probably turned into a slaughter

Re: War On Iraq in Chit-Chat
hmmm..and did he have any other chance, i’ve always wondered. my grandfather wasn’t a proper partisan but had always been against fascism and such parties. yet i’m pretty sure i heard him sayin mussolini’s dictatorship sort of managed to bring some order to the country (i mean italy) during those chaotic times.
it’s best not to discuss too much about past history for we don’t know for sure what really happened. when you read different books, the facts don’t match. 1,000 teachers never tell you the same story. even what elderly people say sounds confusing. if i had to say what exactly is going on in the present i wouldn’t be able to tell ya. i can only suppose. and that’s the present. let alone the past..
