I dunno about that, but he appears to be oblivious to the fact that somebody has kidnapped Avril Lavigne and replaced her with Rosie from Coronation Street…

Theres also a bootleg called “Live, England 94” which is a piss poor qulaity recording from Donnington - it’s also called “Now and Then”, which has the Astoria set added to the end as bonus tracks.

Re: Discuss different types of guitars in Chit-Chat
Bollocks to all that technical mallarkey, get a flying V, heres the reasons why:
1) you don’t actually have to play it, just swing it about a bit and it’ll look raaaawwwwkkk. Useful tip - If somebody does actually demand a demonstration, just tell them that if you actually learned how to play, it would be against punk rock ethics.
2) It’s the only guitar that lets you get away with wearing spandex! Also, have some pyrotechnics set up in your living room for that authentic rock solo ending.
( Disclaimer- that bit about spandex may not be true, also, I accept no blame for any harm caused to pets or loved ones as a result of front room pyros. )

Re: Kevin Smith - new jersey saga in Chit-Chat
Aparently they are going to be doing something with J & Silent Bob in again. I was reading an interview where he’d said something about the door not being closed on them. The main problem is Jason Mewes and his heroin addiction, he’s been given an ultimatum to get clean or not be in anymore of his films!

Failing that I’ve got a script here for a film called Weapons of Ass Destruction… I bet you can’t guess what that involves?!? ;)

I had an idea for a tv series in which people demonstrate their porn qualities, it’s called bone idol.
So far the BBC and ITV don’t seem interested though!

Re: Record Industry… in Chit-Chat
I think the funniest thing was when they wheeled out Westlife to tell “da kids” that burning cd’s was the same as dealing drugs… eh?
The big irony is that the people continously pushing this message are the ones who keep the dealers going?! No names mentioned obviously!
Speaking of copy right and file share whingers and drugs…heres a little quiz for you. Which major music and film retailer had to have their MD resign last year to save their public image and placate their shareholders after he was embroiled in an argument with a policeman which resulted him in hitting said copper, who then arrested him to find him in possesion of a rather large amount of “bolivian marching powder”?
Alledgedly, of course! ;)

I don’t really go into Manchester much since moving to Rochdale, but what about the pub that’s right across the road from the H&G? Any ideas what that ones like?

:D Very funny!
I dunno about you, but I got so sick and tired of the news when that silly whiney moo had to pull out of the Olympics, you’d think she’d died by the way the newscasters were lowering their voices!

Bloody too right, in fact, I even had to have another drink to calm my already frayed nerves from the drinking.
Just thinking about it has raised awful traumatised memories… I’d better have a drink to get me on an even keel!

Re: How will NANE be selling? in General Therapy? Topics
What we should do is an impromptu pirate broadcast, everybody get yer stereos, stick the speakers out the window, turn it up to full blast and all start playing the album at an arranged time! Let the streets ring out with the sound of NANE! Followed by multiple arrests for breach of the peace.. still, could be a useful publicity tool!
Next week I’ll be doing a seminar on world domination for the home enthusiast despot…

Re: New Megadeth in Other Bands & Artists
If I recall correctly, this album originally started off as Mustaine’s solo album, then he got together with Poland so they decided it would be the new Megadeth album.
Now, if one was cynical.. one may suggest that a new Megadeth album was a more attractive idea than a Mustaine solo album in terms of sales…
Not that I’m cynical or anything… oh no sir.

I wouldn’t have compared it the 80’s.. but there are some bits throughout the album that reminded me of Kepone.

Re: New Megadeth in Other Bands & Artists
Apparently the whole hand injury story was to cover the fact that Mustaine was back on the drugs… I’m not sure if he did actually have a hand problem due to over indulgance… from what I’ve read and heard Ellefson had got to the point where he couldn’t put up with it anymore.
It’s bizarre to think that they were the biggest metal band bar Metallica a few years back, a sorry lesson on how to truley fuck up a career!

Re: Best NANE track in General Therapy? Topics
Yeah, the responce I usually get is “are they still going?”. In a way it highlights a) how poor the music press is, and b) how lame the general public is when they have to be force fed which bands they should like!

I think this is the first T? album where I can imagine every song is going to be a monster played live. I love the raw power ( fuck, I’m turning into Krusher! Rock lobster! ), I was trying to think of a word to describe it.. momentum! It’s got a momentum running through it that can sometimes get lost in the studio.. can’t wait for the Manc gig!
