Title: Metal Hammer Awards tickets!!

Hi guys!! *waves* Sorry i’ve been absent for such a heck of a long time, i’m still lurking around occasionally… :D Anyway, i thought i’d just duck on briefly and ask you guys something:

Does anyone want a couple of tickets to the Metal Hammer Awards on monday 7th in London??

I won these bloody tickets in a competition and i can’t get rid of them! I can’t go myself due to stupid busy work, and it’s really annoying me that they might go to waste. HIM are headlining the night, plus i think Killswitch Engage and a couple of other bands and stuff, so it sounds pretty cool.

*sniffle* Ohhhh, Cities of Gold was my favourite show ever when i was a kid. It was repeated about six years ago or something, and just the title music made me cry. Um, maybe i shouldn’t admit stuff like that.

While we’re on the subject, i’d just like to point out that Samurai Jack is a damn fine example of modern cartoons that rock (as is Angry Beavers and the Powerpuff Girls, of course). And Fox Kids is now my favourite channel because it’s showing old episodes of Ghostbusters (although i have to keep sneaking out of work early to watch it). Ghostbusters is clearly the best cartoon series ever made in the history of anything, and anyone who argues with me is just wrong. Yes. :D

@Jsar666 - Shannon Doherty stripped to the theme from Mighty Mouse, not Danger Mouse. Ha, i’m a bigger pedant than you! :p

My dad wants to be stuffed and put on the couch when he dies. Can anyone think of a good way for me to talk him out of this?

At the moment, i reckon Futurama is better, but that’s just because the last couple of seasons of Simpsons have been pants. Obviously the Simpsons have had many more good episodes than Futurama because it’s been on for three times as long. But at the moment, Futurama is better. Yes.

How can anyone not like Mingles?

i had a late new year’s party on saturday, and it was a lot more successful. I think i’m going to do this every year - have it two weeks late so no-one’s busy doing anything else. :D

no-one came to my new year’s party! I ended up getting drunk with my five year old kid (disclaimer: i was drunk, he obviously wasn’t) and watching The Goodies for three hours. Best new year i’ve had in ages! :D

I think i’m gonna try again and have a belated party on Saturday… hopefully some people will actually turn up to that one. :D

Title: My Dumb Dream

Okay, i doubt anyone cares about this, but i had a really stupid dream last night. I dreamt that Andy Cairns was in my basement, singing ‘Tatty Seaside Town’ really badly, and wearing these horrible hillbilly dungarees. I couldn’t figure out how he’d got down there, but he wouldn’t come out until he’d finished singing and drunk his beer.

Just thought i’d share that with y’all. :D

Second only to chips, cheese and gravy, but nowhere ever sells that. *sigh*

I’ve got mine this evening, argh. I plan to get the mental fella who works next to me drunk again, because last year he ended up dancing on the tables and singing ‘Santa Baby’. Disturbing, but a lot of fun.

It’s also my mum’s birthday (bless). And i believe it’s the anniversary of John Lennon’s death as well.

Anyway - Happy birthday to the huge number of 22 year olds!! :D

That’s one heck of a long Christmas break. :D Well, i’ve probably missed ya now, but have a top Christmas!

lol, didn’t mention anything about that on friday. :D Personally, i didn’t see any scousers that looked like him… which is probably a good thing because i embarrassed myself quite enough for one night without jumping on random strangers and telling them they looked like Andy Cairns.

It’s a real shame that Martin’s not well, although it was hellacool seeing t? play as a three piece again. Really hope he gets better soon - it must suck so much for him not being able to play live.

i shouldn’t even dignify that with a response. But i just did. Dammit.

OMG the gig rocked SO MUCH!!! I still can’t believe it! Thank you so much to the lovely guys i met for letting me share a taxi/sleep on your sofa/drive me to the airport at a truly unsociable time in the morning. You guys are the best! *big happy hugs*

I’ve still not wiped the big stupid grin off my face… i’m sure Andy thinks i’m a total stalker freak now, but it was so worth it! I probably should have left him in peace as well, but i was having the most bizarre conversation in the world with his uncle and just didn’t want to leave! :D

Can anyone help me out with the setlist, btw? I have a terrible memory and can’t remember the song order at all. And now i’m going back to sleep for a bit. :D

Ah. I actually liked that. I thought it was a cute touch - the airplane seats are equiped with storage spaces for your swords (and the motorbikes have them as well, how convenient!), because the ‘Kill Bill’ world is obviously utterly different to the real world (where are the police? why did no-one at the hospital notice Buck was missing? didn’t they think to search his car?). I thought that was all part of the fun - it’s like a comicbook world rather than a real one.

Or that’s my opinion, at least. :D I can see why it would annoy other people though.

I’ll make up a shirt for you as well - ‘I collect Special People’s underwear’. :D

I’m trying very hard not to lose underwear at the moment, but if i get a chance i will throw a thong at the band. Not necessarily mine, but you can’t have everything. :p

lol, i’ve not left yet! I’m still at work, getting more and more paranoid… leaving in about an hour… hopefully… :D

So long as the plane leaves on time, i should be at the pub about six or so, so if anyone fancies an early pint, i’ll be there!
