Re: Hard Rock Hell footage in Therapy? Live
It is maevaelf yes, I keep in touch via facebook as we met watching Testament in Liverpool and then again when Therapy played there the other year also. I need to ask him for a DVD also as I am on a internet download allowance and downloading you tube stuff kills it.

Yes it was as he had his work cut out all night with Michael’s bass problems

Re: Manchester 26-10-09 in Therapy? Live
I loved Andy dedicating DLAMF to Nick Griffin, got a great cheer. Trying to think what they played and didn’t at Liverpool the night before, I do remember them playing Diane, as it is the first time I have heard it again since being a three piece again. Not sure if it is because I have been listening to it today or not but can’t remember if they played Dancin with Manson or not at lpool.

Great gigs over the past two nights. I think Manchester just about shaded Liverpool but only because I preferred the venue - found Liverpool a bit narrow and congested down the front but more room to bounce about last night! The band were on form both nights I thought and seemed genuinely pleased about the turn out and audience reaction etc. Good that the set list was varied over the two nights, especially Trigger getting an outing. I was a bit worried that that little lass was going to get chucked out when she went over the front for a third time but good that they just let her back in.

I thought that girl was very lucky to stay in and she was wriggling like a good un when the sec guys got her at the front, if they wouldn’t have kept hold she would have been on the stage no problem. She nearly cracked her head on the last go as the sec guy couldn’t keep hold of her and she was very close to the cracking one of the barrier struts.
I also think Manchester just shaded it against the previous night also. Sec at Liverpool wouldn’t let us take flash photography, but no probs at Manc got loads and a sneaky 30 second video though there is no sound on it, still memorable for me though :-)

Do you know Jam Jar Jail is something I have always wanted to see live, and have after years of watchign them still not seen it done. I was hoping for Somnambulist on this tour also.

Re: Manchester 26-10-09 in Therapy? Live
Which one are you hooch? If your the one in the star t-shirt then I think I saw you stood on the ramp at the side of the stage going to Andy’s guitars, and if it isn’t you then hey I didn’t see you. What time was the photo taken as I was debating whether to hang on for a bit, gutted if it wasn’t that long after I went. Did you all not go to Big Hands? or is outside the pub opposite the venue?

Re: Manchester 26-10-09 in Therapy? Live
Tired, I was having the feeling of being tired when I knew I had to go out last night. Big traffic jam on the motorway didn’t help either, but got my second wind when I got to the gig. T? seemed well up for it last night, felt a little for Michael at the start when his guitar kept packing in. Speaking of which, who is Andy’s guitar tech, he is such a cool and funny bloke, and dead friendly with the fans by giving them water, setlists and plectrums. With the bruises on my ribs after two nights of it, I was wondering at the age of 36 am I getting too old for this, nah definitly not. What I am too old for I think is keeping up with today’s music, who the f**k is Billy Talent, christ the queue for that stretched miles to the Academy, hate that venue… well impressed with the club academy

Re: Liverpool gig! 25/09/09 in Therapy? Live
What I remember towards the back end of the day was the first support band they had on at Liverpool, when the guy came on in a sumo suit. Felt sorry for the poor lad that he grabbed by the throat in the crowd, not sure I’d have jsut stood there and let him do it.

Re: Manchester 26-10-09 in Therapy? Live
Wow that was a superb gig, just had the edge on Liverpool I think the night before. How many times did that girl come flying over the top? First time I have seen two back to back gigs and really surprised that they changed quite a few songs, not sure which to be honest but I remember hearing Diane at Lpool

Re: Liverpool gig! 25/09/09 in Therapy? Live
I thought the gap between the stage and the crowd was big also last night, and T? couldn’t seem to get up close and personal with the crowd as much as I have seen them do in the past. Awesome back catalogue of a set list though

Re: On stage in Therapy? Live
That was a smallish venue last night in Liverpool, I wasa expecting the O2 academy where I watched Testament, but it was the smaller venue. Good venue but band too far away from stage for my liking nand couldn’t interact as much as they normally do

Great to see Diamond Dave back in Liverpool last night, long time no see. What has happened to Sam? she was a star, and another great person to speak to at gigs.

Re: On stage in Therapy? Live
Is Club Academy in the same venue as the hop and grape, is it level 2 on the curly stairs? I lose track of all the names changes… Main Debating Hall, H&G, Cclub Academy…, nearly there cannae wait, I know my ears will have imploded when I am in work on Monday following Liverpool, then lets do it all again on Monday night. First saw T? at Donny in 94 and still get excited about watching them 15 years later, love them live.

Re: On stage in Therapy? Live
Cheers guess that explains coming on half an hour earlier in Liverpool on Sunday, thought I would only be seeing them for an hour in Manc to start off with. I have never bore witness to a short set by T? or anyone to be honest, not my music but I was told by friends who watched Macy Gray at the apollo a few years ago that they paid quite a high price for tickets for a set that lasted 40 minutes

Yes, when are we having another official live release of a gig like the live CD with Scopophobia, like the footage but love proper recorded audio rather than someone who has took a small recorder in down the back of the kecks

On stage in Therapy? Live
How long have the gigs been lasting? I have tix for Liverpool on the Sunday and Mancheser on the Monday, guessing they are on stage 9 in Liverpool and 9.30 in Manc, are curfew times generally the same or vary by venue?

Manc - Hop & grape and the Academy 3 are the same thing so yes - the little room at the top! great venue and usually has better sound than the Academy 2 (old Main Debating Hall)
I love the Hop and Grape, and you can usually meet Micheal on the spiral stairs before the gig :-)

Fantastic, I beleive tickets for Liverpool go on sale on Friday. Well up for that. Is the Academy 3 in Manchester, the hop and grape? the last couple of tours have been there but if it is down the road in the Manchester Academy, then I think that is too big a venue, best gigs have been intimate. Love the Academy in Liverpool, great venue I watched Testament there a couple of months ago

They are great as a trio and thinking about it, the first couple of times I saw them was a trio with Fyfe, still great now. I liked Martin and do miss the electric cello at the gigs

Re: Still no Manchester date for the tour…sigh! in Therapy? Live
It has been the Hop and Grape for the last couple of tours, I would like to see them at the O2 academy in Liverpool as I watched Testament there the other week and thought it was a great venue. T? did play it ages ago when I couldn’t make it, in around 1999 I think. Don’t mind them anywhere to be honest, I guess at least with the Hop and Grape you can get to meet them later on in Big Hands?
