Re: UK Shows??? in Therapy? Live

Title: Preston

I watched them at the Mill on Scopophobia, the crowd weren’t up too much to be honest, and people were saying err where is Martin?
Not a bad venue though, but I think the Hop and Grape in Manc will get it again, I love it there

I’d forgot about that. Hadn’t Andy thrown the bottle in, and next thing it was going everywhere. Lovely and refreshing though.

Re: Crowdsurfing banned by MOJO (Dutch) in Therapy? Live

Some really interesting view on here. Guess with being in my 30s now and having a family I don’t get to as many gigs as I used to, except T?, but there wasn’t any crowd surfing at Manchester on Saturday, saying that there was no security at the front so you would have been straight on the stage. The crowd surfers don’t worry me too much, as I am used to it being part of the occasion, but I don’t like the mosh pits, they are just fucking dangerous, even when you stay on the outside just trying to keep out of the way.
It was also good at a Slayer concert I was at a while back to hear Tom Araya say that if you see people go down , help them up.

I’ve never crowd surfed, and have only been pulled out once, during the Sep’s Chaos AD tour in Liverpool, now that was too much, felt like my ribs were caving in. I also agree with a lot of people who say the crowd surfing should be done for people who are ill. When I was younger and had a season ticket for the standing kop at Liverpool, the fans knew someone was ill and could get them down to the front for first aid quicker than the paramedics could cut threw the crowd.

As for stage diving, I would have loved to see this incident with Micheal’s attempt earlier in the tour, he wasn’t even tempted at Manchester

Oh almost forgot.

Did anybody else notice Neil was having problems with his hands. I overheard Andy and Mike asking if he was OK.

Hope it’s nothing serious..

From what I could see, I think he got a major splinter from one of his sticks.
The crowd were well up for it, and I remember seeing how happy the bands faces were when the crowd were singing the main riff for Teethgrinder.

It was great speaking to Sam before the gig also, as she was stuck where people couldn’t see her and walk straight past into the gig.

Fantastic, just a shame it has gone, but roll on the next one.

Title: Manchester Reviews (merged)

That was fucking brilliant, just got back. Fear of God sounded really heavy, one of my favourite songs of the night.
How fucking hot was it? my T-shirt was soaking, they were worth every penny again though, and I thought we were going to get all of breaking the law.
I missed the NANE tour, so I don’t know if they played Diane on that, but how they played it tonight was fantastic, first time I have heard it live without the cello, and I loved Martin.

All in all what a night, and my ears are still ringing

Bit dodgy mixing with stone roses fans weren’t it? loads of them going around with Gallagher haircuts.

Bollocks, forgot about that shit going on, at least I know what Motorway I won’t be using. I’ll come the other way via Mosside.
Nice one for mentioning about the football

Re: Manchester 27/05/06 in Therapy? Live

Without sounding like a tart, what are people wearing as I would like to see some of you at the gig if I get chance. I’m only leaving St.Helens at about 6 so should get there for what 6.45. I guess I will go in the Union, beer just too cheap to believe (downstairs anyway). Jabez Clegg is a good pub, Krobar is pretty expensive, but last time I was there they done Hoegaarden on draught. The Hogshead down the road is also good, and is normally where T? go after soundcheck, fucking hell stalker!!

Re: The set list in Therapy? Live

Looking forward to Manchester, just been reading what they have been playing lately. I would like to see Deluded Son and Into the Light, I always wanted to see Jam Jar Jail but they have never played it when I have watched them

Re: Manchester 27/05/06 in Therapy? Live

Anyway so I guess your all looking forward to Manchester?

Hooch it is a piece of piss finding the uni. Come out of Oxford Road station turn right, and stay on that pavement all the way up. BBC Manchester should be on the opposite side of the road as you are walking up. You shoud walk under a massive bridge like thing spanning the road that says Manchester University or something on it, keep walking, if you get to the Academy and you’ve gone to far.

That is assuming you are coming in at Oxford Road. If you are coming in at Victoria, your fucked :p

Re: Manchester 27/05/06 in Therapy? Live

I think if a meet up is planned, the best and cheapest place is probably in the students union below the hop and grape. As there are a lot of pretentious and pretty expensive bars on oxford road. I guess the band will be going to big hands after the gig?
Manchester gig threads always seems to get quite a response doesn’t it.

I didn’t make it to the NANE tour in Manc, but will be at this one.
Hooch wasn’t it on HA that you had the nightmare trip to Manc?

Re: Funniest onstage quote/rant in Therapy? Live

I remember at Preston on Scopophobia when Martin wasn’t there, and everyone was asking where he was, and Andy turned round and said that he had had a gardening accident! Really put the crowds mind at rest :)

Re: north west england gig in Therapy? Live

Count me in this time, as I missed Manchester last time as I was on holiday, and I missed Hooch in Manchester on HA as she was she going everywhere except Manchester. I guess it will be at Liverpool, at least I hope so as the crowd at Preston on Scop was too quiet.

huh? what do you mean? ten year plan not on spyf??? ever checked track 8?

Oopps, must have been a senior moment, and a boring day at work. Thanks for pointing it out, my mind is now at rest. I guess it is because I haven’t listened to SPYF for ages, a big crime I know. Definitely one for the weekend now me thinks.
Cheers.

Re: Little tounges First in Therapy? Live

Right this may sound stupid. I didn’t think Ten Year Plan was on SPYF, well at least it isn’t on my copy, or mentioned on the discography on this site.
I was thinking about this the other week also, as on Scopophobia Andy introduces it also off SPYF.
Let me know

Re: We Need You In Manchester! in Therapy? Live

Gutted that I won’t be there, it is the first album tour that I have missed for years. Hopefully, Liverpool or somewhere else local will get a call in the 2nd leg in the new year.
Hooch, it sounds as though things are actaully organised to meet up before the gig this time :(, something will happen that throws a spanner in the works, I’m sure of it :)

nah, my guess is they’ll do a tour round the release of NANE and just do 1 or 2 dates in england, then a full UK tour later, Its pretty much what they’ve done for the last few albums

I thought with HA, they done a full UK tour, then toured Europe, then Scop came out and they toured the UK again at smaller venues, but with being down to a 3 piece.
