Re: We Need You In Manchester! in Therapy? Live
Andy, it was a shame that you didn’t go to the last gig at the hop and grape, as it was the first gig of the tour, awesome, and no safety guys at the front. The odds are that they will play Manchester on their next tour as the gigs are usually packed, and loads of WoM’s came to Manchester.

Re: We Need You In Manchester! in Therapy? Live
Totally agree with you Andy, the Hop and Grape rocked last time, miles better than the MDH. I’m from St.Helens, so either Manchester or Liverpool will do me, can’t see them playing the The Citadel in St.H which holds about 300

I bet that Neil only has a good side… :D
T? were fantastic that night, but the crowd weren’t up to much. Swear to god I could have hung my coat up n the barrier at the front, and it would have still been there at the end of the gig.
That was when there was only two microphones set up on stage, my thoughts were then shit this doesn’t look good, and with the MVD single only having 3 signatures on it!!

Neil can be nice if he wants to… ;) At St. Peterburg he personally walked to front-row and GAVE a stick to my girlfriend. That is the nicest thing drummer can ever possibly do, cheers Neil!!!! :D
That is exactly how I got a drumstick at Preston last year. Fantastic bloke, not seen the nasty side of him yet though!! :D

Re: Liverpool: 5th December in Therapy? Live
At Preston, they came on about 9.30 and finished at 11. I guess with it being a Friday, that the band may actually go into the club afterwards, as on the Shameless tour, Micheal told me that they tend to stay at the venue as long as possible before setting out for the next gig, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they are there, and perhaps even at Ma Egertons before :)
I’m sure Liverpool will give them a rousing reception, well deserve it if Martin is still off, as they worked there balls of as a 3 piece in Preston, with Andy having to use about 1000 effects pedals!!! Enjoy ;)

Re: Preston Mill gig in Therapy? Live
Totally agree, the sound level was massive, and my ears were still ringing the day after. The support band before T? (amplifier?) were bloody loud as well, no wonder the bar served beer in plastic glasses!!!
All in all though, I was quite impressed with the venue, even though I walked straight past the ticket booth and got apprehended by a big bouncer!!:D

Re: Audience on scopophobia in Therapy? Live
I guess it is Belfast that I am comparing things to, as I wish I was there, as the crowd look manic on the DVD.
There weren’t any crowd surfers at Preston, as I don’t think there was much of a crowd to surf on!! There was even a crush barrier to put your coat on!!! On the other hand though it was great to be in a small venue
T? rocked though, and put in yet another fantastic performance.

Audience on scopophobia in Therapy? Live
Title: Audience on scopophobia
What are your thoughts on the audiences in general on this tour. I watched T? in Preston on Monday, and there just didn’t seem to be much enthusiasm in the crowd, apart from the right!
But I remember reading a couple of reviews on WoM and a couple of people have said this.
I watched them on the first date of HA in Manchester, and this was totally different, and I come out with multiple bruises.

Re: Preston Mill gig in Therapy? Live
Andy said that Martin had a perforated ear drum.
Therapy were fantastic, the set list was second to none, and I got one of Neils drumsticks, so well happy with that.
For being down to three, I thought they worked their bollocks off, with all three sweating bucket loads, for what in my opinion was a rather unenthusiastic crowd, well the vast majority anyway, couple of nutters on the right :), I was in the middle, expecting them to set a mic up for Andy but it didn’t happen.
To be honest, and I’m still not sure if Andy was in a strop when he kicked the amps over. Missed not seeing Martin, but they adapted well, and it took me back to the days of Fyfe!!! Hope they get a good reception in Liverpool, well deserve it.
P.s. Sam you rock!! really friendly, down to earth and honest.

Bollocks, I wish I had a ticket for Liverpool now instead of Preston.
Agree with you about the Krazy House, all drinks buy one get one free as well, except water.

Er holy shit, weird feeling, my name is also Karl. I am married and we had our baby daughter two weeks before the gig in Manchester, I still managed to go, but I have the same problem as the orginal thread, as I wanted to go to the gig in Preston in 2 weeks time, I am still going, but god what wierd things to come into work and read :D

Don’t know if it is true or not, I have looked at the Carling Academy website for this gig, and they say that there is a curfew of 10pm on the T? gig, 10pm on a Friday night???

Oh you sod!!:D got my hopes up for Stand In Line.
When I was at the Manchester gig, I’m sure there was also a song on the setlist that they didn’t play, due to time or something I guess

Re: Oslo gig last night (Nov 3rd 2003) in Therapy? Live
I’m glad they played stand in line, as it was one of my fav songs from HA, and they didn’t play it in Manchester at the start of the tour, hope they play it at Preston in a couple of weeks.
Sounds a really good journey through various albums though.

Re: Liverpool: 5th December in Therapy? Live
The very old L2, The Lomax was a smart venue wasn’t it? so small and dead intimate, I had only been there once, but I saw some of the flyers for bands who had played there in the past, and some big big bands like Oasis had played.
Sorry I won’t be meeting up with you for the gig though, if I could have changed my ticket I would, but heh there is always next time. Anyway, there will be one of us at each gig to give our thoughts :)

Re: Liverpool: 5th December in Therapy? Live
Just checked. It isn’t at the Uni, but at the old L2 next to Lime Street Station. I remember T? playing there about 5 or 6 years ago, as I couldn’t make it to that gig, and so I still will not have seen them at that venue. I have been there when the club done a rock night, and the venue is quite large if my hazy memory is correct.

Gutted, I got a ticket for Preston, I guess I would have sooner watched them in Liverpool, closer to home. I watched Joe Strummers last gig there, fantastic venue. Never mind though.
Pushing my luck a bit too far with the wife and baby if I try to get Liverpool in as well!!

It is the 1st Dec isn’t it, I checked with Aloud yesterday, and told them that T? website said 1st Dec, but the aloud webiste said 30th Nov, as does the mill website, but Aloud said that it is the 1st, and the website will be changed.

Liverpool would be great, I watched Joe Strummers last gig at the Uni, nice small venue.
I missed T? at L2 a few years ago, but watched them at the Royal Court, that was a little big. The hop and Grape in Manc was quite cozy though wasn’t it?
