fugazi, black flag’s also cool, but i like the genre fugazi plays (post-hardcore, i assume) more as hardcore punk

I Belgium there is De Mens who played a lot last summer at the same festivals as T? did, gorky and monza are also quite nice

i almost forgot all those poor litle boys who are so sad, hate the world, write nice poems about their broken heart in their room and then after a while start their own band to express their sadness and call themselves emo or screamo or whatever

as long as there are good “alternative” bands i don’t care that much about mainstream pop-music, but I think that the main-reason popular music is so poor these days is of course the money, the major record companies want to be sure their artist will sell lots of records so they won’t take any risk and make the same dull music everyone else makes, from the moment on that something from the underground reaches the mainstream the majors have their boring clones ready to profit from the really original bands and storm the charts.( cfr. live, the vines, creed,…)

i don’t really like ‘em, but i guess it could be worse(cfr. creed, live,…)

i heard a few of their songs,also reminds me of the manics during everything must go and this is my truth…
which means i like it a lot :D

i’m a little bit dissapointed in the new names, there are some cool bands(franz ferdinand, wilco) but most the new bands have been in belgium almost every year,
i also think T/W will be very Donna-friendly this year
