Title: Therapy? remix war?

I know quite a few bands that let the fans have a go at remixing their music, and I think it would rock to get a chance to do one of the songs off of the new album…Maybe the winner to get their mix put on a future single, or a t-shirt, or something?

The last one to close…The one timfrichards won for 105, was legit. Michael verified it. However, the other appears so as well. The seller got back to me several days later with a description of the tape itself. It was correct. Like I said, we have two very rich, very lucky people here ;)

“It’s definately the correct cover but it could always be a photocopy of an original. Sorry to be picky but I’d probably have to see the actual cassette (we used a very specific one) and the labels on it (also very specific). The question now also arises if it is an original, who would have got their hands on one? We only did about 50 or so and most of them ended up with A+R men who probably binned it and a few friends and fans back here in Ireland. So, I can’t really decide whether its an original or a not.”

Well, you heard it. We really need to find out what the tape looks like. I am waiting to hear back from both sellers on this.

Here is the really sick part:

Less were made than I had first esstimated. That means that MAYBE 10 of these still exist, of which 5 of these exist in collector’s condition. That makes these VERY valuable. Even more so than the Meat Abstract 7”, or The Bad Mother CD 5”. :eek: Then again, the price is all dependent upon what the T? market can bear, isn’t it?

Oh well, these next few days ought to be fun. ;)

I am really concerned because, from what I have heard, there were only 200 or so of these made. My best guess is that there may be 75 left now, with maybe 10 in collectors shape.

Can anyone help me out here? I collect, and dupes don’t matter to me.

Spoke with one of the Spitfire guys, the say they are not sure if they will play N. America or not. However, with a complete lack of a N. American single, I think the question is already answered.

However, if T? wants to play my garage in Dallas, I would be more than happy to invite T? to stay a while. ;)

This is rough. I think this is another case of a label who is going to ignore the N. American market. I am on the Street Team, I know Cody and Scott @ Spitfire, and they really are doing the best they can with what they’ve got. However, I do know that Spitfire has chosen not to promo Therapy? in the US because I haven’t heard a peep. I even had to go to three different stores in order to find a copy of HA. I ended up at an indie store, and found it there. The “chains” I visited before did not even know it was released.

Here is my two cents on this:

Spitfire (not Scott or Cody specifically) is mostly unwilling to promo Therapy? properly in the US. I say that instead of bitching about it, we should d/l the flyer above, and hit kinkos. Let’s put ‘em up! I know Andy and the boys will appreciate it, and that is who really counts. Let’s show the support Therapy? deserves!

True. I am on the street team, and I will tell you this:

I got a stack of maybe 25 1/4 page flyers in single color to promote the new album. That’s it. I ended up making my own 8 1/2 by 11 color flyers for the record stores. Passed out probably 200-300 of them in my city, but I saw no other promotion of any kind.

Furthermore, the metal station in my city swears they have not gotten any sort of single promo to play. WTF????

:D an appearance at Ozzfest or Metallica would be great for the band (and me), but lolla may not be ready for them. I personally have been a fan in america since ‘94, and have never seen them. They played in my city (Dallas, TX) several times, but I never knew about it. Then, I found the site, and now…I KNOW EVERYTHING! MUHUHUHAHAHAHAHAHA! So, in short, if they ever come again, I will not miss them, guaranteed. Hell, I have even been tempted to hop a plane to the UK to see them several times. Never made it tho.
