Re: Finally… I’m listening to HA!!! in General Therapy? Topics
Must confess I already had the promo copy on my computer for weeks. But only really picked it up since a few days, because like a few more here; it didn’t really impress me on the first listen, but it really grows on you. It’s great.
And I bought it today :)

Re: The Two Towers in Chit-Chat
I was supposed to go to the Marathon (FOTR + TT - that’s 6 hours!) last tuesday 17th/18th december. But I couldn’t go :(
So now I’m going this friday. Looking forward to it. I’m also gonna re-watch the DVD of the first film before seeing Two Towers :)

Re: Within Temptation in Other Bands & Artists
The first albums ‘Enter’ and ‘The Dance’ have a male grunting/singing. The last album is softer and without the grunts. Don’t know why they’ve left it out, but I heard the guy who grunted was really bad live.
*has no idea why she’s telling this stuff because I’m no WT fan at all :D*

Re: Within Temptation in Other Bands & Artists
Why not visit their site: http://www.withintemptation.nl - it has lots of info I suppose
Seen them live twice (Parkpop & Lowlands 2002), but it was at the same tour so both performances were exactly the same. So I walked away at Lowlands, but they’re okay.
Especially the album and song ‘Enter’

No dude! They always put too much mayonaise on it! But besides that, it’s ok.. But their milkshakes suck! Ugh! The milkshakes of McDonalds are good, and their mayonaise is very nice too :)

By the way Silveria do you know any good bands worth listening?
I agree with you on the misjudging of nu-metal, I don’t think you know what nu-metal is if you only watch MTV.
And about the good bands; I was gonna say Nonpoint, but you already know them. A few other bands I think are worth listening (not all nu-metal):
30 Seconds To Mars, Coal Chamber, Cold, Filter, Finger Eleven, Incubus, Ill Nino, Lostprophets, Machine Head, One Minute Silence, One Side Zero, Sevendust, Soulfly, Taproot, TRUSTcompany.

I guess I’m a nu-metal girl myself :o
Being all Korn-addicted and all
But minus the scars and I don’t hate the world or my parents :D

Oooh, I like the Big Mac
I don’t care what they throw in it (ingredients) or what they do with it (spit on it) - I just looooove Big Mac :o

TRUSTcompany are okay. They’re a bit monotonous, some of their songs sound the same and they’re not that super live either. But they’re okay. And nice guys, I’ve met them last August while they were over here (Lowlands!) as support act for Korn - I talked to them for a while and took some pictures with them :o :)

Bands of WoM members in Chit-Chat
Title: Bands of WoM members
Just wondering if any of you play / sing in a band?
If so: what is your role in the band (guitar, vocals etc.), name of the band, what kind of style do you play? Covers or own songs? Are you succesful? What do you think of playing live? Does the band have a website and/or any soundclips / mp3’s online? I want to know everything :)
Me - I just started a band but we don’t have a name yet. I play bassguitar. We play alternative rock with female vocals. Only play covers (‘cause we’ve just started) by artists like Skunk Anansie, Tracy Bonham, Alanis Morissette, Heather Nova etc. But we plan to write our own songs in the near future, of course. Haven’t played live yet, but I’ve played live once (only one song) with some other people and it was cool! No website or soundclips online yet :) I still want to do a Therapy? cover someday ;)

They will play at my ‘jongerencentrum’ december 14.
Downloaded a mp3 and think they sound quite okay.

sorry i can’t respect people with your taste in music…by the way, were you the same person who made the nickelback rules thread? or was that some other idiot on here?
And you just happen to know my taste in music by the fact that I give my opinion about one album? Wow, that’s great!
And no, didn’t made the nickelback thread. Don’t really like them, although I don’t think you have bad taste if you do like them..

Re: Sp-yf in General Therapy? Topics
Maybe because:
A. he shows some respect
B. you immediately start to insult
But nevermind.
I understand why some dislike SP-YF and would rate it less than the earlier albums - it’s hard to top such gems as Nurse, Babyteeth, Troublegum etc.
I really can’t explain why I like SP-YF better than those albums

Boo! in New Members (Introduce Yourself)
Title: Boo!
I am bored and introducing myself :D
I’m an 18 year old girl from Holland. I play bassguitar (and just started a band).
I got into Therapy? after hearing Lonely Cryin’ Only (although I, of course, had heard Diane before). I bought the album Semi-Detached in 2000, thought it was great, but put it aside.
After not listening the album for a long time I listened to it again and I loved it (again). Now it’s one of my favorite bands and I own all the albums. But I’m not a fan since Troublegum came out, I’m too young for that :)
I still am angry at myself that I didn’t go to their show last year here in Nighttown. And I couldn’t go to Bospop this year either :(
Other artists I like include Korn (they’re still great, and no discussions about Korn in this thread please), Tracy Bonham, Skunk Anansie, Soulfly, Foo Fighters, RATM, 30 Seconds To Mars etc..
Finally joined this board and enjoying it already :)

No really, we’re just giving our opinions and it’s *our* opinions. What you think of it doesn’t matter.
And ha ha, I don’t even care what you think.

Re: Sp-yf in General Therapy? Topics
I’m not sure about the best rock album part but I totally agree with you about it being the best T? album (although closely followed by the others in my list).
I can’t really figure out why I like it so much though. The whole sound of the album is just great.

lol, that’s my favorite line in that song, and I also like the tone of his voice..
LTF is a great song :)

Re: Worst T? Song in General Therapy? Topics
I don’t like God Kicks (SPYF)
That’s the only song I would skip
I haven’t really listened good enough to Shameless yet to give my opinion - but I bet there are songs on it that I don’t really like, as far as I heard them.
